Dreaming Back to the 70s: Divine Beasts at Home

A TV drama from the 90s was once the origin of Yu Yin's nightmares, and its ending theme song deeply influenced her.

Yu Yin's childhood was filled with the sounds of her parents argui...

Chapter 273 Bread is available, milk is available too.

After one production line was successfully tested, another production line was opened, and ham sausages were continuously produced and transported into the warehouse.

When the factory was built, Yu Yin built the warehouse together with it. Uncle Jiang also helped with the design drawings. The ventilation, hygiene, storage, and fire prevention were all very well done.

After the morning meeting, Zhong Liang was heading to the battlefield. "Sister Yu Yin, I'm going to the army. This time, we must get this deal done. It's really inconvenient without a car."

Zhong Liang carried two boxes of ham sausages to the army base himself; he could only succeed this time, failure was not an option.

"I wish you every success!" Yu Yin waved with a smile, her Jeep in the background!

Zhong Liang arrived at the military base carrying a woven bag and asked the soldier on duty to inform them that he was looking for the logistics minister.

This is Zhong Liang's first time returning to his old unit since leaving the military, and everything is still so familiar.

Having already made prior contact, Zhong Liang quickly met with Minister Liang of the Logistics Department.

"Xiao Zhong, it's been a long time!" Minister Liang looked at this once promising soldier and felt it was such a pity.

"Good morning, leader!" Zhong Liang gave a solemn military salute, his hand trembling slightly.

"Alright, all is well, please have a seat. The commander heard yesterday that you were coming and said he wanted to meet you."

"Sigh, I'm too ashamed to face him. I've let him down after all the hard work he put into nurturing me."

Zhong Liang performed exceptionally well in all aspects upon joining the army. He was later recommended to attend a military academy, and after graduation, he was assigned to work alongside the commander, where he did an outstanding job and became an indispensable assistant to the commander.

The past is too painful to recall, it's all in the past!

"I heard from Director Meng that you were working in a private factory. Why didn't you go to the Public Security Bureau where you were assigned?" Minister Liang couldn't understand why you would give up such a good job so easily.

Zhong Liang's emotions didn't fluctuate much, as if such a good job had nothing to do with him. He calmly said, "My sister's situation was special at the time, and she couldn't be left alone. I couldn't handle the job, so I gave it up."

"I see. So how is your sister now?"

Minister Liang knew a little about Zhong Liang's situation and felt sorry for his sister, a girl with a tragic fate.

"How are you now? Are you feeling any better?" Minister Liang asked with concern.

"I've recovered, and I got married in the spring. My husband is a veteran." Zhong Liang rarely showed a smile.

"That's good, that's good. You said you had official business to discuss this time. Go ahead and say it. You don't usually speak up easily."

Zhong Liang took a box of sausages out of the woven bag and placed it on Minister Liang's desk. He opened the box, took out a sausage, and handed it to Minister Liang. "Sir, please try this first, and we'll talk about it later."

Minister Liang had some doubts, but he still took it. He had never seen this before and wondered how to eat it.

Zhong Liang took one for himself, tore open the plastic skin with his teeth, and ate it directly.

Minister Liang followed suit and took a bite. "Delicious! It smells so good! What is this?"

Minister Liang ate one in a few bites, then reached out to Zhong Liang. Zhong Liang thought to himself, "No one can resist the allure of ham sausages," and handed a few more to Minister Liang.

Minister Liang ate three of them before stopping, a little embarrassed. "This stuff is really good, meaty, and so fragrant!"

What smells so good?

"Greetings, Commander!"

Zhong Liang and Minister Liang stood at attention and saluted, not expecting the commander to come over.

"Xiao Zhong, it's been a long time!"

"Long time no see, Commander!" Zhong Liang's eyes reddened, and he was a little excited.

"How are you doing?" The commander really liked this kid. He was capable, quick-witted, and could complete the tasks assigned to him with high quality and quantity. It was a pity.

"I've already adapted, and here I am, back to working hard again!"

Zhong Liang handed a sausage to the commander, saying, "Try this. It's from our factory, made of meat. It tastes good. You can eat it directly or stir-fry it."

The commander took it, quite intrigued; he hadn't expected to find it in China. He'd seen it once before at a meeting in Beijing; apparently, it was imported and quite expensive.

The commander tore open the packaging, took a bite, and said, "Hmm, it tastes good, even better than the imported ones, and it suits our own tastes."

"The commander has eaten." Zhong Liang exclaimed, marveling at how the commander truly knew everything.

"I ate here once when I was in Beijing for a meeting, and the taste was just so-so."

After finishing a sausage, the commander looked at Zhong Liang with a smile and said, "So, you don't come here unless you have something to say. You've been retired for so long, and this is your first time back. You didn't come here just to treat us to this, did you?"

The commander shook the plastic sheet in his hand and looked at Zhong Liang.

"I was too ashamed to come back and see you before. I ruined a great opportunity. I'm sorry for the Commander's guidance. I was also busy taking my sister to the doctor. I was really overwhelmed."

Zhong Liang still feels lingering fear when he thinks back to that year.

"This time, things have improved. My sister has recovered and is married. She won't look too bad when she sees the commander. Also, I heard that a batch of vehicles in our team are going to be phased out. I'm here to pull some strings and get me a back door."

"You want to buy it?"

The commander and Minister Liang were surprised to find that the private factory where Zhong Liang worked was so powerful, and they both wanted to buy a car.

"Exchange vehicles with our sausages. These sausages are made from over 70% pork; they can be eaten directly or used in stir-fries. Don't our mess halls and the soldiers on missions all need them?"

Minister Liang and the commander had no idea that Zhong Liang had this in mind.

"The scrapped cars aren't cheap either. You're trading them for ham sausages? How many sausages would that take? Can your production capacity keep up? You probably used all the sausages you weren't producing to trade for the cars, right?"
