From a life of blissful idleness, "naively sweet" Su Le unexpectedly transmigrates to the arduous 1970s and becomes the little darling of her family. It should have been another life of lei...
Li Zichen and Su Le lay in bed and waited until the child's crying stopped before falling asleep.
During the day, Yao Cuifang came to take care of the two little ones, and Su Le began to think about what to name the children. After Chen Yao and Su Fugui got up, Su Le and Li Zichen wrote down the names they had thought of, crumpled them into balls, and asked Chen Yao and Su Fugui to write down their names and crumpled them into balls as well.
Yao Cuifang, illiterate, did not participate. When her sister woke up, Su Le smiled and picked her up. Li Zichen stretched out his hand, and four small paper balls were right next to her. As if sensing something, her sister stretched and grabbed one.
The four of them gathered together in joy. Li Zichen carefully took it from her hand. It said "Li Xueyao" on it. This was the name Chen Yao had chosen. Chen Yao danced with joy and shouted with a smile, "Little Yaoyao."
Yao Cuifang also brought her brother over, and Li Zichen took four more names and placed them next to him. The brother was uncooperative and waited for a long time. Finally, when he stretched, Li Zichen took the opportunity to place the paper ball next to him, and he finally caught one.
Everyone looked at it expectantly. "Li Chuyang" was written on the paper ball.
Su Fugui wasn't particularly happy; he hoped his granddaughter would choose the name he had chosen. Li Zichen took the two birth certificates to the Civil Affairs Bureau to register their household registration, adding the children's names. Li Zichen's household registration was on this house.
When the children were ninety-nine days old, Su Le and the others moved back to the Su family compound, preparing to hold a hundred-day banquet for the two children. They ordered a custom cake from a bakery and booked ten tables of food at a restaurant. The tables and chairs used for the meeting next door were still there, so Xu Hu and the others helped move them to the Su family compound.
The eagle returned on this day, bringing a girl with him. Su Le looked at the eagle that had disappeared for three months, and then at the girl next to him. She was pretty, shy and timid, and kept her head down.
Su Le greeted Xiong Ying with a smile: "Tomorrow is the baby's hundredth day. You've come just in time. Is this your girlfriend? Would you like to introduce her?"
Xiong Ying blushed briefly, a rare occurrence. "Well, her name is Liu Hong. Xiao Hong, this is my... uh, friend. Su Le."
Liu Hong looked up at the girl in front of her who was younger than herself. She was wearing fashionable clothes, her skin was smooth and delicate, and her every frown and smile was so perfect. "Hello..."
Su Le extended his hand generously, "Hello. Welcome."
The latter quickly stretched out his hand and shook hands with her. Su Le felt the rough skin and looked over unconsciously. The hand that should have been smooth and soft was as rough as an old woman's.
Liu Hong seemed to have noticed it as well, and quickly retracted her hand, looking at Su Le from time to time.
Su Le seemed unaware and started to get busy with others. There was still a lot of preparation work to be done.
Xiongying put her luggage in the room they were staying in and planned to buy a house in Sule. He had thought it unnecessary before, but now that his beloved was by his side, it was necessary.
When they were almost done, Xiong Ying took Liu Hong's hand and walked to Su Le, "I want to buy a house."
Su Le said "hmm", put down the things in his hands, looked at them with a smile, and asked, "Do you want to buy one or two buildings?"
Xiongying thought for a moment and said, "Let's go with Building 2. It's closer this way."
Su Le made the number "four" with his hands, "Only on the fourth and fifth floors."
Xiong Ying thought it was nothing, "Okay." Thinking of Liu Hong, it was a little difficult to speak. Su Le saw that he had something else to do, so he stood there waiting for him to speak.
Xiongying looked at Liu Hong, and Su Le understood. "Well, we are still short of people. If you want to work, you can come and find Xu Hu."
Xiong Ying thanked Su Le happily, "Thank you." Then he took Liu Hong and walked towards Xu Hu. He briefly introduced her to Xu Hu. Xu Hu asked some questions and asked her to come to work the day after tomorrow. Xiong Ying would definitely attend the 100-day banquet tomorrow.
Everyone finished dinner quickly and went back to rest. Su Le had sent out all the invitations that afternoon, and Mr. Huo received one, as did Qi Ming. Several leaders also expressed their intention to attend.
The next day.
The Su family compound was decorated with lights and colorful balloons, creating a festive atmosphere. Red silk and colorful balloons adorned every corner, and the breeze blew the colorful ribbons, making them dance joyfully.
In the center of the courtyard stood a dozen large round tables, laden with sumptuous dishes: chicken, duck, fish, meat, mountain and sea delicacies, all emitting an alluring aroma. The exquisite snacks and fruit platters were even more mouth-watering.
The children were laughing and playing, wearing their new, beautiful clothes, their rosy cheeks brimming with pure joy. Some were running around excitedly, toys in hand, shouting, "Look at my new toys, they're so fun!" Others sat together, sharing candy, their eyes sparkling as they exclaimed, "This candy is so sweet!"
The adults sat together, laughing and talking. The men drank heartily, chatting and laughing loudly, "Old Li, life is getting better and better!" Their faces were filled with happy smiles, and they patted each other on the shoulders from time to time. The women chatted softly, "Look at these two children, they are so handsome!" Their eyes were full of tenderness, and they sometimes smiled softly and nodded gently.
At the main table, Su Le and Li Zichen gazed blissfully at their two sleeping babies. Li Xueyao, wearing a pink knitted hat, looked serene and sweet, while Li Chuyang, in a blue suit, looked adorable. The elders nearby beamed with smiles, their eyes filled with love and joy. Su Fugui, his eyes narrowed in laughter, repeatedly praised the two children to the surrounding guests, "My granddaughter and grandson, they're sure to have great things in the future!" Chen Yao meticulously arranged the babies' clothes, her lips curled upwards as she glanced tenderly at them.
