As the greatest magician of this century, Veili has captured a new pet—a little thing that calls itself a system and can transport people across worlds. Recalling the men who chased him nonstop, ...
It was quite late, and after finishing his work, Vili politely said goodbye and left. He left behind a perfectly intact monster skeleton on the table, and a jar of clear, solidified monster souls.
Even if it were Ero himself, he couldn't have done better.
When the skeleton came out of the washroom, Ero was still sitting motionless beside the dissection table, seemingly blending into the darkness.
The skeleton, however, was unfazed and made no attempt to light a lamp, simply walking past.
Despite the dim light, he remained completely unaffected, without even the slightest hesitation.
"Isn't he handsome?" the skeleton asked.
Ero did not look up, but answered his question.
"You gave all my things away just because of this?"
"I never knew that Desmond Greenwood, the infamous figure in magical history, was actually a lecher?"
This was the longest thing Ero had said that day.
The skeleton whose name was called did not get angry at the sarcastic remarks. Instead, it moved a stool over and sat down opposite Ero.
He met Ero's gaze with his dark eyes.
If Vili were here, he would have noticed that the eye was exactly the same as Ero's.
Is there any difference between what I see and what you see?
He gently moved his eyes, which looked particularly eerie in the environment filled with the stench of monster blood.
"You sacrificed one of your eyes to awaken me, who is connected to you by blood, but in doing so, you also lost a part of your own emotions in the process."
"But even someone like you can't deny his attraction to you, right?"
"This eye..."
Desmond tapped his eyes with his knuckles.
"It just couldn't take its eyes off that person after it saw him."
"..."
Ero didn't reply, but perhaps he simply didn't know what to say.
The night after that day, he had a dream.
He lay on the cold operating table, and a pair of hands gently brushed against his body. They were warm to the touch, but even that slight touch sent shivers down his spine.
Her soft fingertips touched his collarbone, slid down to his chest, and then to his abdomen...
He seemed to have become that dissected monster, completely controlled by the person before him. Despite being unbound, he was unable to escape because of death.
No, I'm still alive...
In his hazy state, such a thought flashed through Ero's mind, and he struggled with all his might to sit up.
He struggled to break free of the heavy restraints, finally managing to raise one arm. Then, he opened his eyes, which were glued shut with tears, and looked straight at the person.
As the black mist dissipated, he caught a glimpse of the other person's face.
He saw his slightly raised eyebrows, his cunning eyes, his delicate features, and his rosy lips, which were now silently opening and closing.
Ero's gaze was fixed on it, trying to make out what he was saying.
"..."
A flash of intense white light jolted Ero awake. He took a deep breath and quickly sat up.
Desmond, who didn't need sleep and was idly kneading the monster's soul nearby, looked over.
"What were you dreaming about? You've been whimpering the whole time."
Ero's body seemed stiff as a stone, motionless, until Desmond couldn't sit still any longer and came over to take a look at him, at which point he finally came to his senses.
But his choice was to use magic directly to stop all of Desmond's actions.
"...You should get some sleep first."
He murmured something, then got out of bed and hurried to the bathroom.
The person in my dream...
What he was shouting was clearly—
tutor.
-
For the next few days, Vili was unable to see Ero.
He suspected that the other party wanted to leave him hanging for a month to complete the task and then report back to the principal.
Was my performance yesterday so outstanding that the other person felt ashamed and became angry, refusing to teach me anymore?
Vili curled his lip unhappily. If Ero was that kind of person, then there was no need for him to learn from him.
No matter how good someone's academic performance is, it's all for naught if their character is flawed.
Willy wouldn't take the initiative to beg for help, so without having to attend classes as usual and without a tutor, he suddenly became the most idle person in the entire academy.
Fortunately, he had 888, who was well-informed, next to him, which helped him relieve his boredom.
Thinking of this, he couldn't help but ask:
"How are your favorite Hill and Aiden doing?"
"I don't have a favorite of him!"
Unexpectedly, 888 refuted this first, and only a second later did it realize what was happening and cautiously speak:
"You're not going to cause trouble for them again, are you?"
“It would be more to your liking if I went to cause him trouble,” Vili said with a smile.
"..." 888 found that she couldn't refute it.
It hesitated for two seconds, then resolutely spoke.
"No! You just need to have fun in this world, you don't need to do any missions!"
Vili was very disappointed.
"I'm finally thinking of putting in some effort, are you sure you don't need to?"
"Need not!!!"
888 can be described as shouting at the top of one's lungs.
"All right."
Vili shrugged and stretched.
"I'm not going to cause trouble for them. You're just telling me about the plot's progress, is that okay?"
"After all, the sooner the story ends, the sooner we can leave, right?"
"Maybe in the next world, I'll be in a better mood and start doing the missions seriously?"
