Chapter 135 Bad Kids

As if a pause button had been pressed, after an unknown amount of time, Willy unconsciously rubbed against the pillow in his sleep, letting out a soft hum like a small animal, which finally brought Kii Kanade back to her senses.

He withdrew his hand, his eyes fixed on the boy's face with an unreadable expression. After a moment, he bent down and gently bit the boy's delicate, upturned nose.

"Hmm..."

He reacted swiftly to avoid Vili's instinctive wave, his gaze fixed on the faint white teeth mark, watching it disappear as it vanished.

Kii Kanade sighed silently.

His lips drooped slightly, and the corners of his upturned eyes narrowed. His eyes seemed to hold a pool of spring water, but were shrouded in the morning mist, revealing a touch of inexplicable melancholy.

“Vili”.

He called out the boy's name.

Then, he extended his index finger and gently flicked the tip of Willy's nose. His voice was even lower, almost a murmur.

"—You naughty child."

After saying that, he moved even closer to Vili, their noses almost touching, and turned his face slightly as if to whisper.

"But it's okay."

“I know it’s all their fault… This world is too dangerous for you, it’s normal to take the wrong path for a while.”

"Don't worry, I will clear all obstacles for you."

"So, stay by my side obediently, okay?"

In the end, his voice was so soft it seemed to be carried away by the wind, yet his tone was tender and affectionate, as if it were captivating.

As soon as he finished speaking, he covered the smooth, glossy neck without hesitation, rewriting the red mark.

When Vili woke up, the first thing he saw was Kii Kanade sitting at the foot of the bed.

The simple and unpretentious interior was shrouded in a somber hue, yet a distinguished young man in elegant attire made the surroundings seem to glow.

He seemed out of place here, yet showed no discomfort whatsoever, looking down at his phone with a perfectly normal expression.

As darkness fell, without the lights on, the light from the screen shone on his flawless features, like a painting of light and shadow.

He looked completely absorbed, but as soon as Willie moved slightly, he immediately looked over with a beaming smile.

Did you sleep well?

The boy, who had just woken up, was a little listless. He had just propped himself up to sit up when Kii Kanade was already beside him, propping up his waist with a pillow.

After Vili sat down against the headboard, he then sat on the nearby edge of the bed, leaned slightly over to take a cup from the table and handed it to the boy, his eyes so tender they seemed to melt.

It wasn't until he felt the warmth in his palm that Willy seemed to come to his senses a little more. He looked down at the slightly swaying water in the cup, took a small sip, and found it to be the perfect temperature for drinking.

His parched throat was moistened by the liquid, and he couldn't help but glance at Kii Kanade. Before he could speak, the other person took the water glass as if he knew what was going on and put it back on the table.

Willy, still a little sleepy, closed his eyes slightly, his long, thick eyelashes obscuring his pupils. He spoke in a muffled voice:

"It feels like there are little bugs biting me here."

As he spoke, he raised his hand to touch his neck, which he couldn't see, and scratched it with his fingers.

Kii Kanade's eyes flickered, but her tone remained completely normal.

“It’s normal to have bugs in the countryside.” He reached out to stop Vili’s movement and shook his head slightly. “If you scratch the wound, it will get infected.”

"When we get back, I'll ask Qiluo to take a look at you, okay?"

"No."

Vili knew that Kira was a powerful spirit bound to the Kii family for generations, possessing healing abilities. However, he could handle such a minor injury himself.

He didn't want to owe the Kii family a favor.

"What time is it now?" Vili asked, changing the subject.

Kii Kanade didn't persist any longer, and gently tidied the boy's messy, tousled hair as he slept.

It's almost six o'clock.

"Xuecun came earlier, but seeing that you were still sleeping, he went over first."

"Let's go straight to the old school building and meet him there."

"Um."

After tidying everything up, Kii Kanade deliberately lagged behind Vili by a few steps. After the boy turned around, she reached out and picked up the water glass on the table.

He swirled the glass around his neck, his gaze settling on the slightly damp water stain. He followed the stain and pressed his lips to it, then drank the water in the glass in one gulp.

Then, he locked his phone and put it away.

The last page was a chat log.

Three minutes later.
