"Make way, make way..."
The crowded people seemed to be parted by an invisible hand, making way for a passage.
Three female soldiers emerged from the most inconspicuous corner of the mountaintop, slowly and deliberately walking through the crowd.
The one leading them was Su An.
Her face was expressionless, her steps were unhurried, and her training uniform, except for a negligible amount of dust on the hem, was impeccably clean. Among the trainees who looked as if they had just rolled in the mud and were covered in blood and paint, she stood out conspicuously.
Chen Xiaocao and Wang Xiaoya, who were behind her, were also clean and tidy, but both of them had an undisguised concern and urgency on their faces as they followed closely behind Su An.
"Hey, isn't that Su An and the others?"
"What's wrong with them? They're like they didn't even participate in the assessment, without a single injury. Their training uniforms are even cleaner than when we set off!"
"Judging from their empty hands, they probably hid somewhere for eight hours. With Chen Xiaocao as a burden, it's a miracle that the two women survived. Do you expect them to score points?"
"Shh, keep your voice down! Have you forgotten she's a sharpshooter? I don't know what kind of luck she had, but don't mess with her. Someone like that might be hiding in some corner, shooting from the shadows."
Whispers filled the survivor area.
Bai Wei was enjoying the praise from everyone when she heard the commotion and looked over.
When she saw Su An's calm and composed face and his clean and tidy clothes, the faint unease she felt vanished instantly, replaced by a sense of superiority.
She sneered inwardly.
They're cowards; no wonder they couldn't find them even after searching half the mountain.
They must have found a place to hide, relying on luck to survive to the end, trying to get away with it.
That's fine.
When the results are tallied later, she wants to see for herself in front of everyone whether Su An's feigned composure will hold up when she takes out that red flag.
Bai Wei was making these plans in her mind when she saw that Su An and the other two did not head towards the open space where they were supposed to meet, but instead went straight to the edge of the mountaintop and the path leading down the mountain.
There, Liu Landi, limping up, was leaning against a rock, her face pale, and panting heavily.
She had large scrapes on her arms and knees, and blood mixed with dirt, making her look rather disheveled.
"Sister Landi!" Wang Xiaoya was the first to rush over. "How are you? Where are you hurt? Does it hurt?"
When Liu Landi saw them, she was taken aback for a moment. She shook her head, her voice weak, "I'm fine. I just tripped over a rock while rolling down the hillside and scraped my skin a little. Are you... are you all alright? I led them away, they didn't catch up with you, did they?"
Su An also walked over, squatted down, grabbed Liu Landi's ankle without saying a word, gently lifted it up, and carefully examined her injury.
Her movements were very professional and gentle. She first checked the bones to make sure there was no fracture before she felt relieved.
"No bones or tendons are broken, just superficial injuries. You'll be fine after a few days of rest." Su An spoke with a reassuring strength, "We're alright, you did a great job."
This scene left the onlookers somewhat stunned.
Bai Wei's pupils contracted sharply the moment she saw Liu Landi.
