Deputy Factory Director Li nodded; "That's for sure."

The police arrived shortly afterward. Su Li briefly explained that it was a misunderstanding. After the police left, Deputy Factory Director Li resigned that afternoon.

Su Li thought the matter was over and decided she needed to find a suitable person to be the factory manager as soon as possible.

She took a few days off from school to handle things at the factory and see if she was capable of doing the job.

However, they were all just a little short of expectations, and Su Li was getting anxious. She hadn't originally planned to let Deputy Factory Director Li go.

But after what happened, if she left people in the factory, that would be a huge hidden danger.

Who knows, he might do something big to himself one day. After thinking it over, it's best to rule out anything risky.

Su Li was a bit tired these past two days, so she sent the child directly to Chen Shujing's place.

After getting off work in the evening, she missed the little one, so she rode her bike to Chen Shujing's place.

Gu Huanian handed the fruit to the young man, smiling, and said, "I heard you have a cousin who works at Limin Garment Factory. I wanted to ask you about something. Has anything happened at the factory lately?"

The reason I didn't ask about Limin Supermarket is because he went there to buy things a couple of days ago.

The same two old employees were still working over there, doing their jobs in an orderly manner.

But seeing how tired Su Li looked, he knew something must have happened.

The young man smiled and said, "Commander Gu, I heard from my cousin these past two days that something did happen at the Limin Factory."

Then he told Gu Huanian about the theft of the factory's scraps of cloth and the dismissal of Deputy Factory Director Li.

"I heard no one has done it yet; these past few days, that factory manager surnamed Su has been handling it personally."

Gu Huanian now understood why Su Li was so tired.

Having found out what he wanted to know, he stood up, holding the child, and said, "I'm leaving now."

The young man was completely bewildered, unable to understand why Commander Gu had come to him today just to inquire about this gossip.

Gu Huanian carried the child and walked home, lost in thought.

On her way to work that day, Su Li ran into a young man named Lu Yang at the factory gate.

Lu Yang smiled and said, "I'm here to apply for the position of deputy factory manager. Would it be possible to discuss this in your office?"
