A car accident caused Su Hua to transmigrate into a thirteen-year-old foolish girl in Shanghe Village of the Great Yu Dynasty.
Her home was bare, she was clumsy at everything, nothing she pla...
Although they were described as one person and two tigers, she had no martial arts skills, and Da Bai was only a one-month-old tiger cub. It could be said that the two were just there to make up the numbers. If Da Niu, a half-grown tiger, were to charge over, let alone catch the wild buffalo, it would simply be offering itself up to be beaten.
If this buffalo is vengeful, it might still remember that Da Niu's parents took one of its cows yesterday. In that case, it might not just be a beating, but a matter of life and death.
Da Niu looked up and saw Su Hua's hand resting on her forehead. The coldness in her tiger-like eyes melted away instantly, replaced by a pitiful look.
The tiger's mouth was wide open, and drool dripped down.
Whether we can beat it or not, we don't know.
But it knew it wanted to eat wild beef, it really, really wanted to eat it.
The big white tiger next to it wasn't much better off. Its bright blue eyes were already shining like 24K gold dog eyes, and the drool around its mouth had soaked the white fur on the tiger's face. It was just a matter of time before it started talking.
Su Hua was exasperated by the two tigers' gluttonous appearance. She couldn't help but start to suspect that their tiger parents had sent them down the mountain simply because they ate so much, and they wanted to find them long-term meal tickets?
However, now is not the time to dwell on these things.
In the blink of an eye, the herd of bison had passed through the woods in front of them and headed towards the ravine on the other side.
They were now inside the heart of Fuhu Mountain. She couldn't determine the exact altitude, but she knew that they were surrounded by valleys and streams. The streams emitted water vapor under the sunlight, which spread upwards and was blocked by the shade of the valleys. Therefore, almost every valley was a small cloud mountain.
If she doesn't follow soon, this herd of bison will likely disappear into the clouds, and then she'll lose not only the bison meat but also the sweet potato field she wants.
Thinking of this, Su Hua quickly stuffed the heavy basket into her spatial storage, picked up Da Bai with one hand, and used the other hand to pull Da Niu up by the neck to climb onto the tiger's back, letting it follow far behind the herd of bison, waiting for an opportunity to strike.
Bison are traditionally herd animals that prefer to be active at night and rest during the day. Now, around 7 or 8 a.m., the bison slowly emerge, either to drink water or to forage for food.
Sure enough, Su Hua followed the herd of cattle stealthily and saw them drink water in the mountain stream, take a bath, and then walk familiarly into the valley next door.
The valley entrance was about the size of the old Su family's courtyard gate. Su Hua told Da Niu to stop at the valley entrance and not go any further. She sat on the tiger's back and carefully looked inside. She saw that the valley was formed by two high mountains, one to the east and one to the west. The two mountains were lush and green, with trees and bamboo interspersed.
The opposite side of the valley is a steeper mountain, with no bamboo or trees to shelter it. It is all black and yellow stone, and from a distance, it looks like the cow dung that Da Niu accidentally stepped in earlier, magnified many times over.
After the bison herd entered the valley, they headed straight for the cow dung mountain. One of the bison found a spot, opened its mouth, and stretched out its tongue to lick the cow dung mountain to its heart's content.
As they licked themselves, they gently swished their tails, clearly enjoying themselves immensely.
For a moment, the entire valley was filled with the clattering sound of cow tongues hitting the rocks.
Su Hua: "..."
If silence could speak, it would be deafening at this moment.
She suddenly felt like her brain wasn't working properly. These bison had gone through all that trouble to come here just to lick the rocks?
The two big white girls beneath him and in his arms only glanced at Cow Dung Mountain before silently looking away.
They weren't interested in those broken stones at all; they were only interested in the bison licking them.
After a good while, the licking sounds gradually subsided. Some of the bison began to eat the tender bamboo leaves nearby, some lowered their heads to nibble on the grass, and many more went into the valley and opened their mouths wide to the vines on the ground.
It was at this moment that Su Hua finally saw the sweet potato vines she had been longing for. Each vine was like a green ribbon, and the leaves hanging on the vines were emerald green and thick, just like small palms. In the sunlight, you could even see the different depths of notches on the edges of the leaves.
With a single, dark snout, the cow uprooted a dozen or so sweet potato vines, some even pulling up the sweet potatoes on the ground. The vines and leaves were all rolled into the cow's belly without it even chewing them.
Su Hua was unsure whether to be happy or worried. This flat valley wasn't very big, so there probably weren't many sweet potatoes growing inside. There were only about thirty wild buffalo in total. Excluding the ten or so that didn't eat the sweet potato vines, they would probably consume at least several hundred kilograms of sweet potatoes in one meal. However, the herd of wild buffalo was too powerful, and she couldn't confront them head-on. In the end, she simply told Da Niu to stay away from the valley entrance for the time being, out of sight, out of mind. Otherwise, she was afraid that if she kept watching, she would be unable to resist fighting the wild buffalo for sweet potatoes.
Another half hour passed while they waited.
The sun had already climbed from the back of the mountain to the sunny side, and Da Niu and Da Bai were lying on the ground snoring softly. Su Hua finally saw a large bison emerge from the valley entrance, looking quite satisfied.
This was the lead cow they had initially been watching. Before it came out, it stretched its neck and looked around for a long time. Only when it saw that there was nothing unusual around it did it suddenly puff out its throat.
"Moo—"
It was like a proud and spirited call to return to their nest.
Hearing the call, the herd of bison slowly emerged from the valley, crossed the ravine, and headed into the misty forest.
Su Hua waited quietly for a while, until she could no longer hear the wild buffalo, before she dismounted from the tiger's back, returned to the mouth of the valley, and ran towards the sweet potato vines.
