The simulator does not suppress combat power, ...
Only with the existence of those books can their culture continue to be passed down.
Even if the Ninth Era is destroyed, those records might allow people in the next era to know that there was once a civilization struggling and resisting in the darkness.
"Clang, clang, clang..."
On his way to the library, Evan passed by the forging workshop again and heard the sound of metal being struck.
"tread……"
Evan stopped and looked at the door from which flames were rising.
The intense collision of metals is noisy to many people, and the high temperature inside can also affect the body. Craftsmen who have not reached the extraordinary level do not work for very long each day.
However, in Evan's perception, temperature and sound seemed to intertwine, creating a perfectly balanced, indescribable feeling.
Standing there, Evan hesitated, wondering whether he should go in and take a look.
"Hey, isn't this the Kyle kid? I've fixed your dad's shield."
"Tell Rock when we get home that we can pick up the equipment tomorrow. Be more careful next time; penetrating damage is really hard to repair."
A voice interrupted Evan's thoughts. It was a craftsman from the forge, whom Evan knew because of his father, Rock Kyle.
"Uncle Jack..."
"What's wrong? You're not planning to carry the shield back by yourself, are you?"
"This thing is really heavy, and it's not convenient for someone your size to carry. Let Rock come pick it up tomorrow, there's no rush."
"That's not the issue. It's my own business. May I go to your forging workshop to take a look?"
Evan had this idea in mind, and he happened to run into an acquaintance, so he felt that his opportunity had come.
He had felt a certain attraction to the forging workshop for a long time, and now might be a good opportunity to find out.
"Okay, come with me. It's quite hot inside, and there are some dangerous things. Don't run around or touch anything once we're inside."
If it were any other child, Jack might refuse such a request. The forging workshop accepts commissions from ordinary residents, and anyone he knows in the area can come in and take a look. But the child is indeed too young, and it would be troublesome if he became naughty and caused trouble.
Evan is different. Jack knows this Kyle kid. He's very smart and more sensible than other kids at such a young age.
"Clang, clang, clang..."
Upon entering the forging workshop, the temperature inside was noticeably higher, but Evan did not feel any discomfort.
The increasingly clear sound of hammering seemed somewhat pleasant to Evan.
The outermost shelves of the workshop are stocked with everyday items like kitchen knives and spatulas, while further inside are metal items that can be used as weapons, such as daggers and small knives.
Weapons like daggers are allowed to be purchased by civilians, and one of the educational programs for young people in the community is basic armed combat.
The attacks of the Dark Eclipse Beasts are highly random, and the Home Guardians cannot guarantee that none will escape.
If certain monsters were allowed into the residential area and possessed weapons, their ability to use those weapons would at least increase the residents' chances of survival.
Further in, you'll find the forging workshop, as well as the storage area for standard weapons and protective gear.
