It took more than half an hour to clear the underground passage from where we had come.

The rest of the route mostly involved traversing rooftops, and Li Dahua seemed to have lost his usefulness.

Jiang Wu glanced down at Li Dahua.

Li Dahua had already fainted from the pain, and Jiang Wu barely suppressed the urge to kill him with his own hands.

Despite having killed hundreds of zombies and having hated Li Dahua for three years, he still didn't want to kill anyone with his own hands.

Having been a law-abiding citizen for over thirty years, and not a pervert, I really can't bring myself to do it right now.

As for zombies, Jiang Wu didn't consider them his own kind at all.

After glancing at the horde of zombies a few dozen meters away, Jiang Wu woke Li Dahua up.

He weakly opened his eyes, his eyes filled with resentment.

He seemed to know that Jiang Wu wouldn't let him off this time, and his eyes were filled with malice.

Jiang Wu ripped the tape off his mouth, but before he could say anything, he was done.

Li Dahua roared with all his might, "Jiang Wu! I'll haunt you even as a ghost! I'll kill you and your family in every lifetime! May you die a horrible death! May your whole family die a horrible death! And your paralyzed sister! I curse her to suffer the wrath of countless men..."

Jiang Wu slapped him across the mouth, knocking out several of Li Dahua's teeth.

Li Dahua was still cursing wildly.

Without hesitation, Jiang Wu sprinted to within a dozen meters of the zombie horde and then threw Li Dahua over there.

A fresh human, dripping with blood, suddenly flew over, startling the zombies who were drinking rainwater. They then all pounced on Li Dahua.

Under the tearing and biting of dozens of frenzied zombies, Li Dahua didn't even have a chance to become a zombie. Before long, all that was left were his tattered clothes and some bones.

Jiang Wu didn't dare to look closely; he kept his gaze at a height of two meters above the ground.

He doesn't regret what he did.

He has loved Chinese currency for over twenty years and worked tirelessly to earn money.

But Li Dahua would deduct his hard-earned money without any reason or excuse.

Moreover, if Li Dahua hadn't died, he would absolutely, positively, do everything in his power to take revenge on me.

Even if he wasn't afraid of retaliation, what about Su Ziyu and Bai Feiming?

Even with only a high school diploma, he lacked worldly experience.

But Jiang Wu also clearly understood the principle that if you don't cut the weeds at the root, they will grow back in the spring.

After confirming that Li Dahua was dead and reduced to ashes, Jiang Wu slowly left.

Through the underground passage, there was a pharmacy not far away. Jiang Wu was very grateful that there were pharmacies everywhere in this era.

After killing about ten zombies, Jiang Wu arrived at the pharmacy entrance, only to be rendered speechless by the lock on the door.

All he could do was pick up a fire axe and smash it down hard.

"Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang..."

On the street, in the pouring rain, Jiang Wu smashed the locks while keeping an eye on the movements of the zombies around him.

Jiang Wu smashed the padlock for a full ten minutes, killing five waves of zombies totaling nine before it was finally broken.

Jiang Wu finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Just as he was about to open the door and go inside, Jiang Wu suddenly felt the sound of running behind him.

Before Jiang Wu could even turn around, he felt as if he had been hit by a car and flew from the doorway into the pharmacy.

It flew several meters before crashing directly into the pharmacy's display shelf, then fell to the ground along with it.

Jiang Wu felt a sweet taste on his lips, then a mouthful of blood rushed into his mouth, and his head began to buzz.

Without thinking twice, Jiang Wu turned around in shock to look behind him.

Another unusually large zombie pounced on them, its momentum overwhelming.

Realizing what was happening, Jiang Wu quickly rolled to the side several times before scrambling to his feet and running inside.

When he was about seven or eight meters away from the giant zombie, Jiang Wu turned around to look at the thing that had attacked him from behind, and swallowed the blood in his mouth.

The pharmacy was dimly lit because the lights were off.

The tall zombie was a bit hard to see, but its massive physique, over two meters tall, made Jiang Wu feel immense pressure.

It must be at least 2.3 meters tall, right?

If you want to use the knife in your hand to cut its neck, you have to jump up and do it.

Evolved zombies?

Wait a minute, even the strong, evolved zombies aren't this tall!

Could it be a more advanced evolved zombie?

Jiang Wu felt somewhat fortunate.

But at that moment, the zombie's claws reached out, and Jiang Wu quickly ducked down and slipped past it from the side.

The tall zombie turned around, and Jiang Wu slashed its arm twice with all his might.

With a "clang," one cut seemed to strike bone, while the other finally cut through the flesh as expected.

However, that was all; Jiang Wu could feel that the bones inside were unusually hard.

Seeing the zombie pounce again, Jiang Wu quickly dodged to the side, then jumped up and slashed at its spine behind its neck.

Two more "clang" sounds!

No response!

Jiang Wu was stunned. This zombie wasn't particularly fast, but was it wearing iron armor?

No, it's pitch black here, and I have no idea what's wrong with this zombie.
