The apocalypse arrived overnight, zombies rampaged, creatures mutated, and the world became increasingly strange.
Giant pythons over a hundred meters long, giant crocodiles tens of meters lon...
A new day has begun.
The disciplinary committee had just started work, and all the disciplinary officers were completely bewildered.
A beautiful woman actually brought a big man who was tied up to his knees into the Disciplinary Hall.
A disciplinary officer cautiously asked, "Hello, what's your name? Also, are you an evolved being?"
Xiao Yu was very polite to the disciplinary team members, and said with a smile, "My name is Xiao Yu, I am an Evolver, this man is my boyfriend, I wish to see your captain or a higher-ranking leader, I have something important to report."
Just then, Wu Lao Er walked in. He had only heard the latter part of the conversation, so he casually asked, "What do you need to see the leader about?"
The group of discipline members immediately saluted and said, "Director Wu!"
Xiao Yu also greeted him politely: "Good morning, Director Wu."
Wu Lao Er smiled and nodded at his subordinates, but when he saw Xiao Yu, he was stunned.
As a well-informed gossip king, how could he not know Xiao Yu!
This person is Madam Su's only subordinate!
The seniority is terrifying!
If she hadn't been unwilling to be promoted, she would definitely be a mid-to-high-level manager now!
Wu Lao Er even knew the details of the mistakes she made back then.
Wu Lao Er glanced secretly at the man who was tied up, then chuckled and said to Xiao Yu, "Sister Xiao, come in quickly! Let's talk things over slowly!"
Upon arriving at the nearest reception room, Wu Lao Er asked, "Sister Xiao, what's the matter?"
Xiao Yu pointed to Wang Zun, who was squatting on the ground, and said seriously, "Director Wu, this is my ex-boyfriend. Last night he said some things to me, and he actually questioned..."
"...I think this phenomenon is very bad, even despicable! Director Wu, you are the director of the Discipline Inspection Commission, I think you should investigate the source of these words..."
After listening to Xiao Yu's words, Wu Lao Er understood what was going on.
He was secretly surprised.
Xiao Yu is really ruthless. Just a second after they finished, because of what her boyfriend said, she actually cut ties with him and brought him to the Disciplinary Committee.
I really learned something!
Wu Lao Er said earnestly, "Xiao Meizi, you are also a veteran of the base, with more seniority than me. Don't worry, we will definitely investigate this thoroughly."
Just then, there was a knock on the door. "Director Wu, Minister Ding from the Audit Department wants to see you."
Wu Lao Er shouted, "Alright! I'm coming right now!"
As soon as he finished speaking, the door opened, and Ding Chengde laughed loudly, "Director Wu, no need to trouble you. I'll just say a few words and then leave."
Upon seeing Xiao Yu, Ding Chengde smiled and said, "Xiao Yu, you're here too."
Xiao Yu smiled and said, "Good morning, Brother Ding."
Ding Chengde nodded, closed the door, and said earnestly to Wu Lao Er, "Director Wu, my girlfriend told me last night..."
After listening to Ding Chengde's words, Wu Lao Er couldn't help but give him a thumbs up and say, "I've only just started working, and you two have already brought me so many clues. Impressive."
Ding Chengde looked at Xiao Yu and smiled, "So, Xiao Yu is here to talk about this too."
Wu Lao Er pointed to Wang Zun, who was curled up on the ground, and said, "That guy was Xiao Yu's boyfriend yesterday, and he was directly captured by Xiao Yu. Xiao Yu's loyalty to the leader is truly beyond question."
Xiao Yu showed none of the ruthlessness she displayed when facing Wang Zun last night. Instead, she smiled and said, "If it were you, you would have done the same. Without the leader, there would be no us. Anyone who slanders the leader is our enemy!"
Wu Lao Er and Ding Chengde couldn't help but nod in agreement.
......
Time passes.
October 20th.
Temporary fortifications have begun to be built outside the copper city.
Two enormous golden birds were circling in the sky.
On the bird's back, Jiang Wu looked at everything inside the copper city, his brows furrowed and his eyes filled with deep worry.
Looking around, all that could be seen in the city were the rampant, bizarrely shaped mutated plants and aimless wandering zombies. There was no sign of any living people, not even mutated insects.
These mutated plants are far more powerful than imagined; they have rendered the entire city almost unrecognizable as a place of civilization.
The once flat road surface is now uneven and covered with a huge, tangled root system, which has riddled the original cement surface with holes.
Some mutated plants have incredibly thick roots that meander up the tall buildings, cracking the walls and enveloping the entire structure.
The towering, mutated plants blocked out the sun, and sunlight struggled to filter through the gaps in the dense foliage, creating dappled patterns that made the city seem like an eerie, green sanctuary.
Some huge vines intertwine with each other, weaving natural "barriers" in the sky above the city.
Looking around, all you can see are mutated plants. All sorts of bizarre plants are growing wildly, their foliage so lush it's suffocating, almost completely obscuring the city's original colors.
It looks like another world.
Only those high-rise buildings that were not completely covered by mutated plants allowed Jiang Wu to see the former prosperity of this place.
Besides these mutated plants, the city teeming with zombies makes it feel like a living hell.
They wandered through this green maze, their clothes tattered.
After more than a year of exposure to sun and rain, these zombies had become somewhat shriveled, their skin turning bluish-white, but showing no signs of decay.
Their empty eye sockets held no life, yet radiated a bloodthirsty light, and their mouths occasionally emitted low, hoarse roars that echoed through the silent city.
In just over a year, a megacity with a population of one million has become like this.
Perhaps in another year or two, those cities without human maintenance will become history, swallowed up by mutated plants.
"Xiao Ran, can you sense the location of the advanced Type N zombies in this city?" Jiang Wu asked casually.
Blood Woman opened her eyes and shook her head, saying, "No, it seems that all the Type N zombies here are hiding deep underground. The senses are very weak. It could also be due to these mutated plants."
Jiang Wu gazed at the enormous vines that stretched across the buildings like a spider web, with many M-shaped zombies climbing back and forth on them like monkeys.
Every now and then, a few M-type zombies would dart through the broken windows into the high-rise buildings, seemingly searching for signs of life. Jiang Wu couldn't help but sigh, "I really don't know what this world will be like in a few years."
Blood Woman pondered for a moment, then said seriously, "Honey, something's wrong with the zombies in this city. Not only can I not sense any trace of Type N zombies on the ground, but even these ordinary zombies are completely uncontrolled by Type N zombies, allowing them to roam freely. This is very abnormal."
Jiang Wu was slightly taken aback and asked curiously, "Is there something wrong with it?"
