The Chaos Abyss was created by the giant axe that Pangu used to smash it down.

Legend has it that in the most ancient and primitive time, the world was in a state of chaos. Heaven and earth were not yet separated, and the universe was like a giant egg, pitch black inside, with no distinction between up, down, left, right, east, west, south, or north.

However, within this chaos, a great hero was conceived—Pangu.

Pangu gestated in the chaos for eighteen thousand years before finally awakening from his slumber. He found himself in a small, dark, unbearably hot space, unable to breathe. With his immense strength, Pangu used his innate great axe to cleave this chaotic, round entity apart.

With a deafening roar, chaos was cleaved apart. The light and clear elements gradually rose and became the blue sky, while the heavy and turbid elements slowly sank and became the earth.

Pangu stood between heaven and earth, with the blue sky above his head and the earth beneath his feet.

Fearing that heaven and earth would merge again, he used his body to support them every day, causing them to separate. Pangu's body grew one zhang taller each day, and the sky rose one zhang higher, while the earth thickened one zhang.

And so, after another 18,000 years, Pangu finally separated heaven and earth completely, so that they would never come together again.

After completing the great feat of creating the world, Pangu exhausted his energy and eventually collapsed and died.

However, his sacrifice led to the birth of the world.

Pangu's left eye became the sun, his right eye became the moon, his breath became the wind and clouds, his voice became thunder, his hair and beard became stars, his head and limbs became the four poles of the earth and high mountains, his blood became rivers and lakes, his veins became roads, his muscles became fertile land, his skin and body hair became flowers, grass and trees, his teeth and bones became gold, silver, copper, iron, jade and treasures, and his sweat and tears became rain and dew.

From then on, the world had light, wind and rain, thunder and lightning, mountains and rivers, plants and trees, and all living things.

The giant axe that was born along with Pangu also fell to a certain place in the world, forming the Chaos Abyss.

It is said that the Chaos Abyss is adjacent to the Demon Realm, and the scenery there is completely different from the beauty of the Immortal Realm.

There were no vibrant flowers, trees, or lush vegetation, nor any babbling brooks. Instead, it was a desolate and barren place, filled with black boulders and withered sand.

The vicinity of the Chaos Abyss is shrouded in layers upon layers of chaotic energy. Those with slightly lower cultivation levels cannot even reach the Chaos Abyss before being annihilated by the vortexes formed by this chaotic energy.

Chu Wanwan and Si Mingye emerged from the space-time rift one after the other. As soon as they came out, a swirling chaotic aura rushed towards them.

It was a ball of lightning mixed with yellow sand. Blue lightning flashed within the sand, like a tornado swirling with sand and lightning, carrying earth-shattering power, heading straight for Chu Wanwan and Si Mingye.

Within that ball of lightning, yellow sand and lightning intertwined, as if trying to devour everything within it, releasing a chilling pressure.

Chu Wanwan's eyes narrowed. She knew the power of this chaotic energy and dared not be careless in the slightest.

She quickly channeled her immortal power, forming a protective light shield that enveloped herself and Si Mingye. The bolt of lightning struck the shield, producing a deafening roar, and blue lightning flickered on the shield as if to tear it apart.

However, Chu Wanwan's protective aura was as solid as a rock, and no matter how fiercely the lightning raged, it could not break through it.

She steadied herself and looked at the raging chaotic energy.

"Such powerful energy! If my strength hadn't already reached the Chaos Realm, I probably would have been killed by this energy cloud as soon as I came out."

"Indeed, the cloud of chaotic energy is very dangerous, and the cloud that attacked us was just a small one. Look over there!"

Si Mingye pointed into the distance and said.

Chu Wanwan looked in the direction Si Mingye was pointing and saw countless tornado clouds of this size in the distance. At the very center of these clouds was an even larger tornado.

That enormous chaotic mass of energy, like a raging beast, rolled and churned, unleashing a world-destroying power.

Its size was so great that it blotted out the sky. Within the black mass of gas, blue lightning, like a raging swarm of snakes, swam and intertwined, emitting a deafening roar.

The lightning was so powerful that it seemed capable of tearing everything apart; each flash carried destructive power, causing the entire Chaos Abyss to tremble.

Within the air mass, there were also violent storms and endless darkness, as if it wanted to devour everything within it, never to be reborn.

Chu Wanwan and Si Mingye exchanged a glance, both seeing deep shock and solemnity in each other's eyes. They knew that this enormous chaotic energy mass was an absolutely terrifying existence they had never seen before, and the power within it was immeasurable.

"What... what kind of power is this?" Chu Wanwan's voice trembled slightly. Although her strength had reached the Chaos Realm, she couldn't help but feel a chill in her heart when faced with such a terrifying existence.

Si Mingye said in a deep voice, "I don't know, but I'm sure this is a force we can't contend with. We must be careful; once we're caught up in it, we'll probably be reduced to ashes. Let's hurry and find the entrance to the Chaos Abyss, and find the Qilin Beast first."

"Alright!" Chu Wanwan said, taking out the Ancient and Modern Compendium.

"Throughout history, where is the entrance to the abyss of chaos?"

"Right at the very center of that largest chaotic mass of energy..."

A cute little girl's voice started playing...

"What? Right in the center of that thing? How do we get in?"
