The fire raged fiercely, and the sounds of gunfire and the dying screams of the villagers of Wenshui Village echoed continuously, turning the entire village into a river of blood.

Inside the hot spring cave in Wenshui Village, Li Liguo and his henchman Xiang Shaogang, each holding an automatic rifle and a pistol respectively, approached the cave step by step with cruel smiles on their faces.

The village chief Xu Anbang and his family of three had nowhere to retreat. They were forced to the front of a patch of white mist deep inside the cave. The temperature of the mist was frighteningly high, forcing them to stop. Deep inside the mist was the hot spring of their village.

The couple, each holding a hoe, tightly shielded their daughter Xu Qing behind them.

"Heh, Lao Xu, stop struggling in vain and accept your fate." Li Liguo smiled coldly. "Don't say I don't know how to repay kindness. Don't worry, after you're all dead, I'll take good care of Xiao Qing."

"You beasts!" Xu Anbang's eyes widened in fury, his teeth grinding together. "That day, you beasts should have died out there!"

"You old bastard, you think you're so great?" Xiang Shaogang said coldly. "Our captain is kind-hearted and couldn't bear to see your whole family of three die like the other villagers, so he kindly gave your daughter a chance to live. Don't be ungrateful!"

Upon hearing this, Xu Anbang's anger intensified. He knew that reasoning with Li Liguo and his gang of villains was like casting pearls before swine.

He took a deep breath, trying to calm his turbulent emotions, and looked firmly at Li Liguo and Xiang Shaogang, saying in a deep voice, "Li Liguo, Xiang Shaogang, you have committed many evils, and you will get your retribution sooner or later! Even if the three of us die here today, we will never let you succeed!"

Wang Hui held her husband's hand tightly, her eyes shining with determination. She whispered to Xu Anbang, "Anbang, we're not afraid. As long as we're together as a family, what is there to fear in death?"

Xu Qing hid behind her parents, trembling with fear, but she still mustered her courage and whispered, "Dad, Mom, I will always be with you."

"Heh, stubborn as a mule." Li Liguo sneered, then decisively pulled the trigger.

"Bang bang~" With two gunshots, Xu Anbang and Wang Hui fell to the ground, spitting blood. Their bodies were trembling, but there was no fear or retreat in their eyes.

Xu Qing screamed in terror and threw herself onto her parents, tears streaming down her face.

Seeing Xu Qing's tearful appearance, Xiang Shaogang licked his lips and said, "Captain, this little vixen is really pretty. No wonder you went to such lengths to find her."

His gaze swept over Xu Qing, filled with undisguised greed and desire.

"Hehe, don't worry, we'll share the good times and the bad. I'll let you have your turn after I've had my fun." Li Liguo patted Xiang Shaogang's shoulder, a lewd glint in his eyes.

He turned to look at Xu Qing, a cold smile playing on his lips: "Little girl, don't cry. Come with me, and I guarantee you'll live a life of luxury."

As he spoke, he strode toward Xu Qing, intending to forcibly take her away.

However, at that moment, a series of hurried footsteps came from outside the cave.

"Li Liguo, stop!"

Upon hearing this, Li Liguo frowned, stopped in his tracks, and turned to look at the person who had come.

It was his team members Chen Yu, Liu Long, and Zhou Yu.

"You bunch of good-for-nothings have some nerve, daring to call the captain by his name! What are you trying to do?" Xiang Shaogang roared, pointing his gun at the three men.

Upon seeing this, Chen Yu and the other two trembled, but they quickly regained their composure. They rushed forward and stood between Li Liguo and Xu Qing's family, their gazes fixed firmly on Li Liguo and Xiang Shaogang.

Chen Yu said in a deep voice, "Our lives were saved by the village chief and the others. How could you do such a heinous thing?"

Upon hearing this, Xu Qing seemed to see a glimmer of hope. Holding her parents who were vomiting blood, she looked up at Chen Yu and the other two with tearful eyes and pleaded, "Please, please save my parents."

Upon seeing this, Chen Yu and the other two felt a pang of sorrow in their hearts, their eyes blazing with fury.

"Li Liguo, Xiang Shaogang, as long as I am here today, I will never allow you to act so violently again!" Liu Long's voice was firm and powerful, and his eyes were filled with an unquestionable determination.

Chen Yu and Zhou Yu also clenched their fists, their eyes burning with anger. They stood straight, like three unshakable mountains, protecting Xu Qing and the fallen Xu Anbang and his wife behind them.

"Bang!" Li Liguo pulled the trigger without any mercy.

A bloody hole suddenly appeared on Liu Long's forehead. His body jolted violently, then he slowly collapsed, blood gushing from his wound and staining the ground beneath him red.

"Old Liu!" Chen Yu and Zhou Yu exclaimed at the same time, their eyes filled with shock and grief.

"Heh, do you really think I wouldn't dare kill you?" Li Liguo's lips curled into a cold smile, his eyes revealing endless ruthlessness and arrogance. "Get out of my way, or I'll kill all three of you today!"

Chen Yu and Zhou Yu trembled upon hearing this. They never expected that Li Liguo would be so ruthless as to not even spare his own teammates.

It's important to understand that although their transport team members were at the very bottom of the Fire Seed Base, their status was practically that of ants.

Even though they are like ants, they are still assets of the Fire Seed Base. The base's managers can harvest them without a care, but they will never allow their subordinates to kill each other. Li Liguo's behavior is undoubtedly challenging the bottom line of the Fire Seed Base.

"Get out!" Li Liguo roared again.

Chen Yu and his companion immediately collapsed to the ground, their legs giving way beneath them.
