As Feng Zhengyang left, Yang Yue and the others also came out of the house next door.

Perhaps they had already reached a consensus inside the house, and therefore did not tease Chen Yu.

The group continued to help Feng Xinran pack her luggage.

With everyone's help, Feng Xinran's belongings were quickly organized and packed into several large boxes.

At this point, Qiao Meng had also given Qiao Xin some mental preparation, and the two of them came out of the room.

"Hehe, Xiaoxin, why don't you move to the bunker too? Anyway, there are plenty of rooms in the bunker, and you can hang out with your sister more often in the future." Chen Yu watched Qiao Xin walk out of the room and took the initiative to make amends with her in order to ease the tension between them.

Upon hearing this, the expressions on the faces of the people present all turned strange.

However, Qiao Xin immediately replied, "Okay, you said it!"

"Qiao Xin, stop fooling around. What did I just tell you?" Qiao Meng scolded in a stern voice.

"If you can live in that bunker, why can't I?" Qiao Xin's words carried a hint of stubbornness and defiance. She looked up at Qiao Meng, her eyes flashing with a challenging light.

As she spoke, she stared intently at Chen Yu: "Chen Yu, you're not just being polite with me, are you?"

Chen Yu was dumbfounded. He had just said that casually to ease the tension between himself and Qiao Xin. After all, Qiao Xin was Qiao Meng's sister and now the Minister of Agriculture of Tianyu Base. It wouldn't be good for him to have a strained relationship with her, both personally and professionally.

But he never expected that Qiao Xin would agree so readily, and even specifically mention the sensitive word "politeness".

This left him in a dilemma, unsure whether to agree or not.

He could only force a smile and said awkwardly, "Of course not, the bunker doors are always open for you, you can come whenever you want."

His words were quite tactful, giving Qiao Xin a way out without making any explicit promises, leaving himself room to maneuver.

After hearing this, Qiao Xin seemed to have seen through his thoughts.

But she seemed not to understand, and said with a smile, "Okay, I'll move it now."

Without waiting for Chen Yu and Qiao Meng's reaction, she immediately ran into the room to pack her things.

Seeing this, Qiao Meng said apologetically to Chen Yu, "Mr. Chen Yu, Xiao Xin wasn't like this before. Let's leave her alone; she'll calm down on her own."

Chen Yu shook his head and said, "It's alright. Since Xiao Xin wants to go to the bunker to live with you, let her go. It'll save you from worrying about her being alone outside."

“But…” Qiao Meng hesitated, a rare hint of resentment in her eyes as she looked at Chen Yu.

“I know what you’re worried about. Just let Xiaoxin stay alone on the 10th floor of the bunker. She won’t bother us, and we won’t bother her,” Chen Yu interrupted Qiao Meng and reassured her.

"Alright, whatever you say." Qiao Meng nodded helplessly, but her doubts still lingered.

She feared that if that day ever came, she wouldn't be able to explain it to her parents, nor would she be able to get over the hurdle in her heart.

"Ahem~" Yang Yue suddenly coughed lightly, breaking the brief silence.

“Actually, it’s quite good for Xiaoxin to move to the bunker. After all, although our Tianyu Base is prosperous and the people are living in peace and contentment, this is still the apocalypse, and no one can predict what will happen tomorrow. With Xiaoxin in the bunker, at least we don’t have to worry about her safety. And it’s also more convenient for everyone to discuss work together.” Yang Yue said, trying to dispel Qiao Meng’s concerns.

"Mm." Qiao Meng nodded gently.

"Alright, let's go help Xiaoxin. Let's finish cleaning up quickly so we can go home. We've been out all day and we're exhausted." Yang Yue said, then took the lead and walked towards Qiao Xin's room with a gentle smile on her face, as if all her troubles had disappeared with her steps.

Seeing this, the others followed suit.

Since it was Qiao Xin's bedroom, Chen Yu did not follow her in, but waited outside the door.

After a while, Qiao Xin and the others came out of the room, carrying several boxes filled with Qiao Xin's belongings.

Everyone carried Feng Xinran's luggage to the helicopter downstairs.

As the helicopter streaked across the sky, it gradually disappeared into the bright lights of the base's residential area.

A short while later, it landed on the helipad atop Shiban Mountain.

The group carried their bags back to the bunker, assigned rooms to Feng Xinran and Qiao Xin, and entered them into the security system.

Nothing happened that night. The next morning, just after Chen Yu finished breakfast, the militiamen who were secretly protecting Zhao Yuxuan sent a message saying that the other party had encountered some trouble and might need reinforcements.

Chen Yu frowned upon hearing this. How could someone dare to cause trouble on Tianyu Base's territory?

Moreover, this was something that even two militiamen couldn't handle; these people are incredibly audacious!

He immediately instructed the two soldiers not to act rashly, and that protecting Zhao Yuxuan's safety was the top priority.

Then, he grabbed Lin Lele, who was still fast asleep, from the room next door and said, "Hurry up and get dressed, and come out with me."

Lin Lele was startled awake by Chen Yu. She blinked her eyes blankly, clearly not understanding what was going on.

"You're crazy, Chen Yu. It's so early in the morning, can't you let people sleep?" Lin Lele muttered, clearly in a bad mood.

But Chen Yu's expression was unusually serious, without the slightest hint of a joke.

Seeing this, Lin Lele had no choice but to reluctantly begin putting on her combat uniform.
