Chapter 20 Uncle Liang's Angry

Having never experienced anything like this before, Liang Qi was at a loss, neither daring to shout loudly nor choosing to escape quickly.

The three thugs, having seen Liang Qi's weakness, became even bolder.

Furthermore, upon closer inspection, Liang Qi's beauty far surpassed that of the women he had previously encountered in street-side hair salons.

His lust was now uncontrollable. Seeing that there was a vacant spot nearby and no one was around on the street, he simply resorted to force.

Liang Qi had never seen anything like this before. In her panic, she tried to struggle, but her mouth was covered. How could a frail girl like her possibly stand up to three men?

Despite her best efforts to resist, she was still dragged into an abandoned construction site by the roadside by the three thugs.

Liang Qi didn't need to say anything more after that; Han Ming had already seen it all.

Seeing Liang Qi's pained expression, Han Ming felt it was best not to ask too many questions.

At least he's alright now. He was just a little frightened, but with some rest, he should be able to recover.

This incident should have served as a reminder to Liang Qi that girls should not go out alone at night.

A princess-like capricious temper can sometimes bring unnecessary trouble upon oneself.

Thinking this to himself, he remembered his girlfriend and turned to look at Dong Xiaolu beside him.

At this moment, Dong Xiaolu was looking down, seemingly lost in thought. Feeling Han Ming watching her, she looked up and smiled at her boyfriend.

The three of them walked in silence without saying a word, and before they knew it, they had arrived at Liang Qi's house.

Han Ming saw Liang Qi's mother, Pan Yue, looking out the door with undisguised anxiety on her face, so he quickly went over to greet her.

When Pan Yue saw her daughter return with Han Ming, she seemed relieved and quickly led them into the house.

As soon as they got home, before Pan Yue could even speak, Liang Qi hugged his mother and started crying.

The child had been wronged, and upon seeing his mother, he couldn't control his emotions and burst into tears again.

Pan Yue was already anxious, and when she saw her daughter crying, she knew it was nothing good. After Liang Qi stopped crying, she asked her carefully and found out what had happened.

Han Ming had just seen Pan Yue's anxious face and thought something had happened again.

It turned out that Han Ming and his group had just left the abandoned construction site of the art center when the police from the town's police station arrived.

Because Dong Xiaolu made the situation sound quite serious in her emergency call, the 110 command center immediately reported the situation to the Xiaqiao Town Police Station and requested that officers be dispatched immediately.

The police station didn't dare to be negligent and dispatched officers. When they arrived at the construction site, they found that there was no activity around.

However, the command center had already explained that there was an unusual situation inside the construction site's perimeter wall, so the two police officers went in to investigate.

Apart from the stray cats and dogs that occasionally dart out from the weeds, nothing else was found.

Fortunately, the two police officers were quite diligent. They searched the entire area with flashlights and finally found something unusual in front of a few sheds against the wall.

There were messy footprints of all sizes on the ground, indicating that there were quite a few people. So I looked into the shed through the window and finally found three people lying in one of the rooms.

Seeing the three people lying there motionless, the two police officers thought a murder had occurred, because a dagger on the ground was gleaming coldly under the light of their flashlights.

They called for backup, and the two went inside to check.

Fortunately, no bloodstains were found on the ground except for the dagger. After checking the breathing of the three people lying on the ground, they found that they were still breathing, so they guessed that they had just passed out.

After the police officers relaxed a bit, they used flashlights to search the room again. They found a cell phone in the corner of the iron-framed bed and found that it was turned off.

Looking at the heart-shaped phone charm still hanging on the phone, it didn't seem to belong to those guys with dyed yellow hair and tattoos on the ground.

Upon closer inspection, although the phone was a little dusty, it still looked quite new. So, one of the police officers, surnamed Zhou, pressed the power button to see if it could be turned on.

The phone turned on quickly, and after entering the home screen, it immediately displayed a girl's selfie.

The girl was quite pretty, and Officer Zhou noticed that she looked somewhat familiar.

He was a veteran police officer in the town, and he knew almost all the long-time residents. Coincidentally, his family and Liang Jianxing's family lived on the same street.

Although there were a few households in between, they often came and went and knew each other very well.

At first glance, the girl on my phone's home screen looked familiar. Now, upon closer inspection, I realized that she was Liang Jianxing's daughter, who was away at university for the summer vacation.

A few days ago, I saw the father and daughter strolling on the street when I got home from get off work.

At the time, he joked with Liang Jianxing, saying that since he had such a beautiful daughter, he should be careful not to let her be tricked away by some scoundrel outside, otherwise all his heartache would be for nothing.

It seems this phone must belong to that girl, but Officer Zhou and his colleagues have searched the entire area and haven't found Liang Qi.

But what about the three half-dead men lying on the ground?

Officer Zhou realized something was wrong, so he checked his phone's contacts and found a phone number for "Liang's father".

Seeing that the surname was Liang further confirmed his judgment, so Officer Zhou dialed the number.

Liang Jianxing was watching TV at home with his wife when he realized it was getting late, so he decided to call his daughter to ask why she hadn't come home yet.

They tried calling several times, but the phone kept saying the other party's phone was off. The couple started to get worried; the person wasn't coming back, and the phone was off too.
