A small township factory's second-generation heir,
faces imminent factory bankruptcy,
but then acquires a couple of objects from another world.
Han Ming looked at the still night sky and then checked the photos he had just taken on his phone.
For some reason, Han Ming sent a passable photo of a meteor shower to his recent contacts, Dong Xiaolu.
After sending the message to Han Ming, Miss Dong tossed her phone aside, sat by the window with her still-damp hair in her hands, and stared blankly at the night sky.
Unfortunately, in the capital city of Dongjiang Province, the poor air quality prevented her from seeing a single shooting star in the night sky.
As a result, she was not only extremely annoyed with herself, but also hated Han Ming, who would rather skip work for more than ten days than invite her to his hometown to watch the meteor shower.
Just as she was lost in thought, filled with resentment and acting like a delicate flower, her cell phone, which was lying on the bed, suddenly started ringing.
Dong Xiaolu lazily moved over, picked it up and saw that it was a photo of a meteor shower sent by Han Ming. Her anger was instantly ignited.
"You, Han Ming, you denied going to see the meteor shower on the phone just now, and now you're sending me photos to show off. Are you trying to annoy me?"
Dong Xiaolu pouted and said angrily, immediately dialing Han Ming's number, ready to give that kid a good scolding.
However, the phone rang for quite a while, but no one answered.
Dong Xiaolu was furious. She dialed twice more, but still no one answered.
"He sneaked off to watch the meteor shower, and then sent me a picture to annoy me. That jerk, he must have done it on purpose."
Enraged, Dong Xiaolu threw her phone on the bed and grabbed a pillow, repeatedly punching it as if the phone were the head of that annoying person.
At this moment, Han Ming was lying in a pile of weeds outside the workshop wall, groaning and moaning in a very disheveled state.
Han Ming, who was just admiring the shooting stars and sending photos of the meteor shower to a young girl, suddenly fell down.
A few minutes earlier, Han Ming had sent a message to Dong Xiaolu, but then felt bored sitting there and decided to go downstairs and leave.
Just as I lowered my head to move my bottom, I suddenly noticed that the roof tiles were exceptionally bright, and even the few withered leaves hidden in the cracks were clearly visible.
He subconsciously looked up and saw an extremely dazzling ball of light rushing towards him. The light was so bright in the night that it was blinding. Han Ming subconsciously closed his eyes.
It was so sudden that he didn't have time to think before he felt an object carrying hot air whoosh fly past him and into the skylight.
Immediately afterwards, a metallic clanging sound was heard coming from the workshop below.
His body was also blown off balance by the strong wind, and he lost his footing and fell, rolling down the sloping roof into the haystack.
Fortunately, it wasn't too high off the ground, but even so, it still left Han Ming feeling dizzy and disoriented.
After lying on the ground for a while, Han Ming carefully moved his limbs and touched his chest and back. Feeling that there was nothing wrong with his body parts, he slowly stood up.
Han Ming, whose mind had just gone blank, now felt a wave of fear. He thought that if he had been killed by a meteor, he would have died a truly haphazard death.
If I die, what will my parents do? They will be so heartbroken.
I'm still a virgin, it would be such a waste for me to die.
Han Ming patted his clothes haphazardly as he walked curiously toward the workshop door.
A shooting star hit me on the head! Does this mean my luck has finally turned around?
It is said that meteors that fall to the ground become meteorites, which are said to have great scientific research value. Selling them to research institutions could probably fetch a lot of money.
Driven to desperation by bank loans, Han Ming had the idea of selling meteorites.
Han Ming searched the small workshop for a long time with a flashlight, but he couldn't find any trace of the meteorite.
Although a faint smell of burning could be detected, no trace of the meteorite could be found.
"Did it turn to ashes? Oh my god, no way."
Han Ming muttered to himself.
Suddenly, a flash of inspiration struck him, and he looked up at the overhead crane frame of the workshop.
Could it be up there? I think I heard a metallic clanging sound when I fell off the roof.
With that thought in mind, Han Ming continued climbing up the iron frame along the wall onto the crane frame.
As soon as I poked my head up, I seemed to see a faint glimmer of light.
Han Ming's heart pounded; it seemed there was hope of finding the meteorite.
Overjoyed, Han Ming crouched down and walked towards the middle of the crane frame, holding onto the guardrail.
Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be a small, rectangular, silver-gray box, about ten or twenty centimeters in size, not a meteorite at all.
Han Ming found it strange; he had sat on the shelf all day and hadn't seen the box.
Could this be the meteorite that just fell? But do meteorites look like this?
In an instant, countless questions flooded Han Ming's mind.
He was half-squatting to the side, too afraid to touch the box, not knowing what was inside.
After thinking it over, Han Ming felt that the most likely explanation was that it fell from the plane. Perhaps the cabin door wasn't closed properly, and a box full of gold bars fell out.
The thought of this possibility excited Han Ming, who was short of money. He didn't care whether the box contained any deadly virus and carefully touched it.
With a "click," the box opened automatically, giving Han Ming a slight fright.
The box was pitch black, and he couldn't see what was inside. Han Ming took out his phone from his pocket, turned on the flashlight, and shone it inside. His heart sank immediately.
"What a joke, just a pair of glasses. What a waste of my excitement." Han Ming muttered to himself as he reached out and took the glasses, examining them closely.
