"I don't discuss emotions with subordinates, unless that subordinate has a more intimate relationship with me."
Chen Zhao thought this would scare Steve away, but unexpectedly Ste...
Have you thought it through?
"What if I wanted to?"
Steve's words made Chen Chao's expression darken further. He stopped going upstairs, turned around, and stood on the stairs looking down at Steve.
Chen Chao spoke again, his words carrying the calm and authoritative tone he used when working: "Z0002, tell me your identity."
"I am Special Agent Z0002, Agent Lin Yu." Chen Chao's seriousness made Steve also enter mission mode, and he straightened his back and answered in a deep voice.
“Tell me your mission.”
"To dedicate oneself to the stability and prosperity of Nutag."
Chen Chao revealed a satisfied expression.
"Answer me about our relationship."
"You are my superior."
"What are my responsibilities?"
"We will do everything in our power to maintain the stability and prosperity of Nutag."
"What would you do if I needed you to sacrifice yourself on a mission?"
“I will sacrifice myself without hesitation.” Steve looked at Chen Chao, his gaze firm and unwavering.
Why do you obey my orders?
"Because I believe we share the same goal, and your orders are always correct."
Chen Chao nodded with satisfaction, his voice softening slightly: "So you see, you actually understand everything. You acknowledge me as your boss and obey my orders because you believe that I share your faith in Nutag. You don't believe in me, so you shouldn't have a personal relationship with me."
Steve was momentarily confused by Chen Chao's words, but he quickly realized the trap in Chen Chao's speech.
A person who can become a top agent must have a brilliant mind.
“But boss, even if we both believe in Nutag, it doesn’t mean I can’t believe in you. I understand that I will always be your subordinate, and I need to carry out orders that even if it means dying, without hesitation. But outside of orders, I also want to make you happy, is that not allowed?”
Is this not allowed?
Steve's question struck Chen Chao hard, almost making him lose his composure. His fingers involuntarily curled slightly at his sides, gradually clenching into fists.
It's not that he can't, but that he doesn't dare.
Chen Chao knew that a violent beast within him constantly yearned to break free of the cage of reason. He feared that if he were to truly develop that kind of relationship with Steve, losing the constraints of superior and subordinate, he would lose control of himself.
He didn't want to hurt him.
Chen Chao walked down the stairs, stood in front of Steve, and calmly said, "Orphans subconsciously seek a sense of belonging. I don't want you to mistake the superior-subordinate relationship for my care for you."
Steve looked at Chen Chao with an open and unwavering gaze: "Boss, my psychology profile score was only one point lower than your brother's. I can distinguish my own emotions. I don't have an Oedipus complex, nor do I see you as a substitute for family."
Chen Chao took a deep breath, realizing that things had come to this point and he had nowhere left to retreat.
He either follows his heart and accepts Steve's confession, or their relationship is doomed and they can't even be boss and subordinate.
"What are the results of your psychological profiling of me?" Chen Chao asked.
Steve looked at Chen Chao, a slight smile appearing in his eyes and at the corners of his mouth. He didn't speak, but silently knelt down, looking up at his boss.
The sight of Steve willingly submitting ignited a fire in Chen Chao's eyes. He felt a primal desire surge within him, almost uncontrollable.
"I thought I had concealed it well," Chen Chao said in a hoarse voice.
"Don't worry, boss. You're perfect in front of others. It's just that you're not as open with me."
"Lin Yu." Chen Chao used the last of his sanity to call Steve by his real name. "I think you should understand that all my self-control has been used up on my work. I don't have much tenderness left for my lover. Since you understand my innate violence and arrogance, you should also know that without the restraint of reason, this violence may become cruelty to your lover."
Steve looked up at Chen Chao, his voice carrying his unique unruliness: "Boss, I wholeheartedly believe that you can carry our faith forward, so I hope you can be happy and don't want you to break down because you're pushing yourself too hard."
Your emotions need an outlet, your fatigue needs relief, so let me be your outlet and relieve your fatigue.
If my presence makes you more stable, then we'll be more efficient on our journey to faith, won't we?
This is truly the most beautiful love confession in the world.
Steve was a powerful agent, possessing the strength to kill him in an instant. Yet now, Steve knelt before him, looking up at him, telling him he trusted him wholeheartedly and was willing to be the outlet for his pressure. This kind of devotion and trust is the most precious and captivating thing in the world.
Chen Chao closed his eyes, feeling as if all his pretense and armor had been shattered by Steve's words. His emotions were surging, and his reason was about to be consumed by desire. Right now, he wished he could kick Steve to the ground and ravage him the next second.
"Are you really sure?" Chen Chao asked, using the last shred of his self-control.
"I've thought it through," Steve replied earnestly, tilting his head back.
"Snap." The string of reason in Chen Chao's mind finally snapped. He raised his foot and kicked Steve in the chest. The beast within him tore open its cage and could no longer be controlled.
By ordinary standards, Chen Chao was very strong; he had practiced martial arts and Sanda since childhood, and his moves were incredibly fast. But in Steve's eyes, every move Chen Chao made was a weakness. If he wanted to, Chen Chao couldn't even touch a corner of his clothes.
Faced with Chen Chao's sudden attack, Steve did not dodge. He tensed his muscles and shifted slightly, causing the attack to miss his vital points.
Chen Chao's kick landed squarely, and Steve slid across the ground. He crashed into the door, letting out a muffled groan.
Chen Chao walked over and grabbed Steve by the collar with one hand. Steve cooperated and stood up, allowing Chen Chao to throw him onto the living room sofa.
Steve's chin was forcefully pried open, and Chen Chao's kiss landed on his lips without any room for argument. As their lips and tongues intertwined, a violent aura of possessiveness seeped into Steve's body, igniting his desire.
Steve's clothes were roughly torn open, and the sudden exposure of his chest to the air made him shudder uncontrollably.
He wasn't afraid, but Chen Chao's aura made his entire body extremely sensitive.
He didn't know when he started liking Chen Chao. Maybe it was Chen Chao's frankness and purity when they first met, or maybe it was the resolute profile of Chen Chao when he gave an order that captivated him. In any case, by the time he realized it, he was already in love.
Steve suppressed the rebellious instincts instilled by years of training, gripping the sofa cushions beneath him tightly with both hands, letting Chen Chao do as he pleased on him.
Chen Chao's rough actions did not cause him pain; instead, they made his face turn even redder. He watched as Chen Chao tossed the wool suit aside, his eyes welling up with tears.
Chen Chao's toughness and straightforwardness made him feel at ease.
He lifted his head and returned the kiss, as if urging him on. Chen Chao suddenly pressed down on the back of his head, making the frenzied movements even deeper.
The place was a complete mess.
Steve's body was covered in bruises, and the living room furniture was in disarray. The sofa had been moved, and the entire tea set on the coffee table was broken. Chen Chao sat on the sofa, panting heavily. The frenzied release made him feel light; he hadn't felt this good in a long time.
“You have no chance to regret this,” Chen Chao said to Steve.
Steve pushed himself up from the floor and leaned back on the sofa: "Boss, I'm happy, I don't regret it."
Chen Chao smiled, walked over and patted Steve's hair: "Come upstairs with me."
Chen Chao recorded the bedroom access code for Steve and led him into the room. Chen Chao's bedroom was very large, and the huge space made the classical style decoration not feel oppressive at all.
In the center of the bedroom is a 2.2-meter-wide bed, and to the right is an ensuite bathroom and walk-in closet.
“Your clothes should be my size. Go take a shower, and find yourself some clothes to wear after you’re done,” Chen Chao said to Steve.
"Boss, I can use the guest bathroom."
"No way." Chen Chao denied it firmly. "Those who are under my control should be self-aware. Why should they use a guest bathroom?"
Steve blushed; he liked the feeling of being treated as Chen Chao's possession.
"Boss, why don't you take a shower first, and then go to bed early? I'll take care of myself later, it's fine."
Chen Chao raised his hand and gently patted Steve's cheek, but didn't really use force: "Stop talking nonsense, just wash it when I tell you to."
Steve could only say "oh" and slip into the bathroom.
The master bathroom was large, with a shower area big enough for two people to lie down in. Steve turned on the shower and stood under the hot water.
The water temperature made his bruises sting, but Steve was oblivious. As a special agent, he was used to dealing with pain, whether in training or on missions.
Moreover, Chen Chao didn't really intend to hurt him, and he avoided attacks that could have caused real damage. The bruises on his body now are just a bit of fun for him.
He did have a good time today.
The feeling of being possessed, desired, and relied upon made him feel as if he had fallen into the warm sun under the blazing sun, a comforting feeling that he longed for.
If Chen Chao is a savage beast, then he is a base soul who thirsts for conquest. He longs for someone to hold the reins around his neck and make him willingly bow down to the ground.
He and his boss are a match made in heaven.
Having gotten used to combat showers, Steve quickly finished cleaning himself. He turned off the water, dried himself off, and casually picked up a white shirt from the dressing room.
"Boss, I can still wear my own pants, so I won't lend you yours." Steve said as he walked out, buttoning his shirt.
"Why are you wearing a shirt? Go find some pajamas and change into." Chen Chao ordered.
"Why?"
"You'll be sleeping here starting today."
"But……"
"I told you you have no chance to regret it."
"Okay, boss."
The bedding was made of silk, and it felt smooth and delicate against the skin. Steve lay in the blankets, squirming excitedly, his heart pounding like a deer.
"Move again and I'll kick you off." Chen Chao turned around and lightly patted Steve's butt.
Steve stopped moving.
Chen Chao looked satisfied and whispered in his ear, "Go to sleep."
Soon, even, deep breaths came from beside his ear. Steve felt the warmth of the body beside him, a happy smile appeared on his lips, and he soon drifted off to sleep peacefully.
After 19 years, he is finally no longer alone.
It feels so good to be owned again.
