“But if you don’t like it, that’s fine.” Lu Xiwen continued, “If the Zou family dares to cause trouble, I’ll deal with them.”

Zou Xunjing hailed a taxi.

After the meal, Lu Xiwen let Lan Zhe go first, while he took Pei Wu to a large shopping mall nearby, where the third floor and above were all high-end luxury brands.

“I see your shirts are all worn out. The custom-made ones will take a few more days. Why don’t you just buy a couple to make do?” Lu Xiwen said.

"It doesn't have to be that expensive." Pei Wu stopped Lu Xiwen from entering a certain boutique and went to another store downstairs instead: "I'm used to wearing this brand."

Lu Xiwen leaned closer and chuckled, "Why are you saving me money?"

"You're too wasteful."

Lu Changning remained silent.

Lu Xiwen noticed a test paper tucked into the side of his backpack, and casually pulled it out and opened it.

Upon glancing at the math exam paper and noticing the score of eighteen, Lu Xiwen folded the paper neatly and shoved it back the way it came. Just then, the elevator arrived, and he shoved Lu Changning inside, coldly saying, "You have one minute to disappear from my sight."

Lu Changning almost sparked when he pressed the close button.

"What's wrong?" Pei Wu asked.

"Don't ask anymore, I won't pollute you."

A week later, at a business banquet, Lu Xiwen unexpectedly ran into Lu Ye.
