Chapter 14 The Whistleblower

Inside the office, the two faced off, their tension palpable.

Outside the office, a circle of employees gathered to watch the spectacle, their gossip-loving nature burning brightly.

Enraged, Yang Jing yelled at the door, "Get the hell out here and get to work!"

The crowd scattered like birds and beasts.

"Pshaw, you think you can mess with me with that?"

Yang Jing rolled her eyes, then calmly sat down, crossed her legs, and said, "What evidence do you have to prove that I was the one who started spreading these rumors? I just heard it from others and I was just repeating what others said."

Besides, I didn't go around telling everyone; I just chatted about it privately with other colleagues over tea. What can you do about it?

That treacherous and cunning face was as ugly as someone who had contracted fowl plague.

"You're right, but you're just gossiping about me behind my back. I have no power or influence, so I can't do anything to you."

Jiang Shiyuan half-closed her almond-shaped eyes, her cherry-red lips slowly curving upwards. "But you insist on calling me President Xie's mistress, portraying him as a heartless, lustful, and irresponsible bastard who doesn't recognize his lover after he's done with his pants up."

Just then, two police officers pushed through the crowd, walked straight up to Yang Jing, and showed her an arrest warrant. "We received a report that you are suspected of abusing your power and engaging in sex trafficking. We are now arresting you in accordance with the law! Come with us!"

The entire R&D department staff were shocked and in an uproar!

Only Jiang Shiyuan remained calm and composed, as if he had a god-like perspective throughout the entire process.

"No, no... I didn't!" Yang Jing's face turned pale with panic.

She tried to argue, but a pair of "silver bracelets" were already cuffed to her wrists.

"Let's go!" The police practically dragged her out.

Yang Jing turned pale with fright and was dragged out in full view of everyone.

Amidst the murmurs and gossip, Jiang Shiyuan quietly departed, concealing his achievements and fame.

She had barely stepped out the door when Yin Meng came running after her.

"Sister Shi Yuan, is that you?! Was it really you who called the police and had Yang the madman arrested?!"
