"How many uncles do you have?" Jane Ning asked subconsciously.

"My mother has only one brother, so naturally she only has one uncle." After saying this, Duan Xinyan realized that she had said the wrong thing. Her mother's brother was her real uncle. How could she say in front of Jian Ning that she only had one uncle?

"Eldest sister, I, I mean there is only one uncle on my aunt's side." She added.

"Stay here, I'll be back soon." Jian Ning glared at her, stood up and went out to find Ding Youtian. Seeing him with his arms folded, coaching the young men and explaining the key points of cycling movements, she called him and pouted to the side.

"What's the matter? Why is she here?" Ding Youtian walked over and asked.

"Luckily she's here. She just let it slip that Wang, the shopkeeper of Huichuntang, might have escaped and is now with Concubine Min. Go tell Huo Jincheng quickly; he might not know about this yet."

Ding Youtian turned around and left, but Shopkeeper Wang refused to admit that Xiao Xinning's disappearance had anything to do with his siblings. They were planning to detain him temporarily on the farm and hand him over to Prince Pingnan when he returned to Beijing, but they didn't expect him to escape.

Jian Ning returned to the flower hall, glanced at Duan Xinyan and said, "You've really made up your mind and are determined not to marry Prince Yong, right?"

"Yeah." Duan Xinyan nodded several times. "How can I marry a man who looks at me getting beaten without even frowning and spends his life with him? I don't want to marry him."

"Okay, then don't marry him. Tomorrow I'll have my mother tell your mother not to let you marry him."

"Big sister! Wow, you're so kind." Duan Xinyan opened her arms and was about to hug her, which made Jian Ning glare at her. She chuckled and said, "Then I'll go outside and learn how to step on the wooden ox."

After saying that, she turned around and ran out.

"Stop!" Jian Ning stopped her. "Those people outside are young men from the ministers' families. You're just a girl from the boudoir, and you're hanging out with them. If you're not afraid of it getting out and damaging your reputation, go ahead. I won't stop you."

Duan Xinyan's eyes flickered to Jian Ning. "Then I'll change into men's clothes and come back to learn tomorrow. I'll go back first today." She knelt down and bowed to Jian Ning, then happily led the kite away.

An hour or so later, Ding Youtian and Huo Jincheng arrived. Ding Youtian rode the Huo Mansion's carriage to the Ding House to find Huo Jincheng, and the two of them went to the farm together. The two men guarding Shopkeeper Wang were two skilled shop assistants from the Ding House, but they had been beaten, tied up like dumplings, and gagged, then tied to the bedposts on either side of the room where Shopkeeper Wang was being held.

If Duan Xinyan and the other two were not afraid of starving to death, everyone else in the village would have just assumed that they were taking people back to the capital.

Jian Ning said, "Aside from Concubine Li and Duan Yu, there are no other skilled fighters in the palace. I think Concubine Min probably went to see Prince Yong. But how did she get the news?"

Huo Jincheng said, "She must have been unable to find Shopkeeper Wang, so she went to ask Prince Yong for help. Besides Prince Pingnan's mansion, my place is the only place you have in the capital. Prince Yong only needs to think about it for a moment and he'll think of my manor. It's not a secluded place, so I'm just being careless."

"It won't be hard to catch him again."

All Jian Ning had to do was to break into Concubine Min's place, knock her unconscious, and throw her directly into the Baicao Room to get him out. The problem was where to keep him after getting him out. The Baicao Room had a time limit, so he couldn't just leave her there forever, nor could he hand her over to the authorities. They had no solid evidence to accuse him and Concubine Min of causing Xiao Xin Ning's disappearance.

"The difficulty is that there is no place to detain him for a long time." Jane Ning frowned.

"I'd like to find a good place that won't be too much trouble." Ding Youtian said after a moment of hesitation.

"Oh, where?"

"Where?"

Jian Ning and Huo Jincheng asked one after another.

Ding Youtian smiled slightly, "My lady, have you forgotten our wine cellar? Take him back and let Guoguo look after him. Have Ding Yang and Ding Jian send him a meal every day so he doesn't starve to death."

"Let Brother Qiu send him back? Great, that's a good idea." Huo Jincheng couldn't help but swing his fist and hit him on the shoulder. Until this moment, Huo Jincheng thought that it was Ding Youtian's idea to incite the scholar to cause trouble. Now he was completely convinced by him, thinking that he was worthy of being the apprentice of Nan Xiang.

He never imagined that Jane Ning had an arsenal, let alone that her arsenal could be shared with Ma Fuquan and they could exchange information.

Ding Youtian knew something he couldn't think of, and he didn't think about making Brother Qiu take the trouble to fly. He smiled at Jian Ning and Jian Ning immediately understood what he meant.

In the past, if she put copper coins in the armory, Ma Fuquan would be able to take them away. The same was true for the spiritual spring water. So, if she knocked someone unconscious and threw him into the armory, would Ma Fuquan be able to carry the person out directly?

If that were possible, wouldn't she and Ma Fuquan be able to reach each other's location instantly?
