Sun Wukong then ascended to the celestial realm with Venus, entering Heaven for the first time. Golden rays rolled in like red rainbows, and auspicious clouds sprayed like purple mist. There stood the Southern Heavenly Gate, crafted from deep blue-green glass and adorned with gleaming precious jade. On either side stood dozens of Heavenly Marshals, each a pillar of strength, wielding halberds and banners. Below them were a dozen or so golden-armored deities, each holding halberds, whips, swords, and knives.

The outer chambers were passable, but the interior was astonishing: inside, several large pillars were entwined with golden-scaled, sun-drenched, red-bearded dragons, and several long bridges were adorned with colorful-feathered, red-crowned phoenixes soaring through the air. Bright clouds shimmered, reflecting the sky's light, while a misty haze veiled the heavens. Above, there were thirty-three celestial palaces: the Cloud Palace, the Vaishravana Palace, the Five Bright Palaces… and seventy-two magnificent halls: the Court Assembly Hall, the Soaring Void Hall, the Precious Light Hall, the Heavenly King Hall, and the Spirit Official Hall, each with jade unicorns lining its pillars.

On the Longevity God's Platform, there are famous flowers that never wither for thousands of years; beside the alchemy furnace, there are auspicious herbs that remain evergreen for countless years.

Upon reaching the Lingxiao Palace, one finds golden nails adorning the jade doors, and colorful phoenixes dancing on the vermilion gates. Covered walkways and winding corridors are exquisitely crafted; three eaves and four clusters of dragons and phoenixes soar in layers.
