Chapter 47 Setting up a stall at the entrance of an elementary school (2/2)

"I also think it's delicious. My daughter just bought some, and when she opened it, she let me try a bite. I felt the taste was familiar, and sure enough, when I came over, it was indeed the owner. The food is as delicious as ever."

"Oh dear, if I had known it was Boss Shi, I wouldn't have gone any further. I was halfway home when I realized it was Boss Shi selling cakes, so I had to turn back."

"My child ate one serving and wanted another. I had no choice but to buy one to try. He said it was delicious."

At this moment, the woman, the little boy, and the little girl who had originally planned to buy the cake found a place to sit down and watched as more and more people gathered in front of Shi Yi's stall.

"Luckily we bought it quickly!" the little girl said.

"Yes, hurry up and open it and try it, see how delicious it is."

"Mmm-hmm," the boy and girl said in unison.

The three then opened the cake box.

"It smells so good!"

It smelled good; the woman sniffed the blueberry cake she had just bought.

She scooped a spoonful of cake into her mouth, and the soft cake, with its buttery aroma, melted instantly on her tongue.

"Hmm." She squinted subconsciously. The fruit was probably candied. The moment she bit through the thin skin, the sweet and sour juice mixed with the milky flavor of the cake base rushed up. It was neither too sweet nor too bitter, and it just balanced the sweetness of the cream.

She scooped out another large spoonful, deliberately choosing the part with the most fruit pulp. This time, several blueberries burst in her mouth, and the refreshing fruity aroma slid down her throat, even dispelling much of the irritability she had accumulated during the meeting.

"This cake has a really generous filling, full of blueberry pieces," she muttered with a piece of cake in her mouth, then picked up her fork and poked at the remaining half of the cake on the plate.

Looking at the two children, they were both engrossed in eating their cakes, not even looking up, their mouths covered in cream.

"It's delicious, Mom! The cake is so delicious!"

After the little girl finished eating, she licked her lips, clearly indicating that she hadn't had enough.

The little boy had only one piece of cake left. He hesitated for a second, then finally pushed the cake over.

"Little sister, you should try this. This mango-flavored cake is delicious too!"

He even specially saved several pieces of mango for her.

The little girl's eyes lit up instantly, but after thinking for a moment, she put her hand down as if to take the cake. "You can have it, brother."

My older brother likes to eat this too, so I can't take it from him.

The older brother said, "I just ate a piece of bread and I'm a little full. You should eat yours, or I'll get angry."

"Oh? Okay then, thank you, brother!" The girl accepted it with delight.

"fine!"

He knew his younger sister was a little glutton.

If he really doesn't eat it, I'll probably spend the whole night thinking about it and telling him stories about eating cake all night long.

After a bite of mango cake, my little tummy was finally satisfied.

"Mom, can I still eat small cakes tomorrow?"

Her eyes were fixed on Shi Yi's side, watching one person after another buy a cake, some even a whole bagful!

She glanced at it and saw there were at least six boxes!

I wish she could eat six boxes too.

But if you do that, your teeth will probably get all sweet.

"How about we go out for a stroll tomorrow? Let's see where the shopkeeper sells small cakes, and then we can buy a few more, okay?" the woman said.

Even though they are just kids, it's only two cakes, so it's nothing.

In a few days, I probably won't be able to eat it anymore, like the boxed lunches from last time.

I don't know if I'll ever have the chance to eat it again.

She had to try all the cakes; there were still so many flavors she hadn't had a chance to try. If she saw them again tomorrow, she wanted to buy several more. (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
