Chapter 24 A Farewell Party for Her
"Yeah. Since you won't tell anyone no matter what the outcome is, why are you asking so clearly?"
After Fu Yungui finished speaking, he couldn't help but chuckle, then asked him, word by word, "Is it necessary?"
Songcha was speechless for a long time before finally saying, "Pasong, do we really need to be so wary of each other?"
"Your dad and I just want to solve your problem, but how can we solve it if we don't understand the situation?"
Fu Yungui stared at Song Cha with a look of amusement, and sneered, "Mr. Song Cha, I think you'd be perfect for acting."
Song Cha understood his sarcasm perfectly well. He gritted his teeth, suppressing the anger that was about to erupt in his chest, and played the role of an obedient person in front of Pi Weng.
“Pason, I’m not going to dwell on whether Colonel Buddy’s matter has anything to do with you anymore. And don’t be so confrontational with your second brother. If you have a problem, come at me.” Pion had calmed down a lot by now and started to reason with him.
"Do you have any objections to me handing the business over to your second brother?" Pi Weng asked him directly.
"If you have any thoughts, you can tell me, and I can explain them to you."
Fu Yungui waved his hand to interrupt him, his face full of disdain, "You should keep your little fortune for your own retirement."
"Then what is it about you?" Seeing his disdain, Pion couldn't help but wonder what he really wanted. He had always thought that he held a grudge against him and Song Cha because of the business dealings from a few years ago.
"Don't you know?" Fu Yungui asked him with a mocking smile.
Pion was startled to see those hateful eyes staring straight at him. He couldn't see any affection for him in those eyes that looked so much like his mother's.
He frowned and sighed deeply.
It's truly tragic that things have come to this between the father and son.
"If it's related to your mother..."
When Fu Yungui heard him mention his mother, he couldn't help but feel angry. He gripped the teacup on the table next to him so tightly that he almost crushed the porcelain cup.
"Enough. I'm not here to reminisce about the past. I'm warning you, don't interfere in my affairs anymore, whether you mean well or have ulterior motives," he said, baring his back teeth and glaring fiercely at Song Cha beside him. "If I find out, don't blame me for being ruthless."
After saying that, he smashed the porcelain cup in his hand against the French window on the right.
In an instant, the porcelain cup bounced off the bulletproof glass, fell heavily to the ground, and shattered into pieces.
Those around him were startled by his sudden action.
"Are you crazy?" Song Cha was also a little angry, and his tone was no longer as patient as before.
"Yeah, he's completely insane, so don't mess with him."
Fu Yungui spoke coldly, then turned and left.
The three people were left standing there in silence. Pion was like a deflated balloon, sitting in his chair and silently staring out the window at the cage.
"This bird, its feathers are fully grown, it's ready to be free."
It was pouring rain outside, the raindrops pattering against the banana leaves beside him. Anu was already waiting for him in his car outside.
Fu Yungui bent down and sat inside, and the car quickly drove away.
After finishing their meal, Momo and the others stayed in the living room chatting. Because it was raining outside, they had to stay indoors.
The two snuggled on the sofa, watching the heavy rain pattering against the banana leaves outside, and felt an indescribable sense of comfort.
Momo has always loved watching the rain, especially heavy rain. She likes to hide in a corner of the house, look at the almost blurry world outside, and listen to the crisp sound of raindrops hitting the plants and eaves.
It wasn't until after 3 p.m. that Fu Qiyu was called away by her husband Adi because of something, and Momo returned to her room to start packing her things.
She had already told Qi Qi that her flight was at 2 PM tomorrow, and Qi Qi said that he would personally take her to Pattaya International Airport tomorrow and wouldn't feel at ease until he saw her safely enter.
Momo readily agreed; after what happened yesterday, she definitely needed to be extra careful now.
After packing her things, Qi Qi returned just as she finished her errands. She smiled and stood at Momo's door, knocking gently. "Momo, I'm coming in."
Momo turned around when she heard the voice and smiled, "Why are you being so polite? Come in quickly."
Fu Qiyu looked at the luggage on the ground. "Have you packed everything?"
Momo nodded, "Yes, there's not much. I didn't bring much with me, so it was quick to pack."
“Okay, let’s go out and prepare dinner. I asked Aunt Pu to cook a delicious meal today,” Fu Qiyu said.
Momo smiled and said, "Okay." Then she followed her out.
The rain outside has stopped, the weather is starting to clear up, a few white clouds are floating in the blue sky, and the air is cooler than before the rain.
Dinner was served in the gazebo in the back garden, where diners could enjoy the cool evening breeze and the rich fragrance of flowers.
Not long after Momo and the others arrived, they saw Pi Weng and Song Cha strolling over from behind.
"Miss Momo, you've suffered these past two days." Pi Weng looked at her with a smile.
Momo remained polite, "Grandpa Piweng, I'm fine. I feel bad that you were worried about me."
“It’s nothing. You’re a guest here, so it’s our duty to ensure your safety,” Pi Weng said. “But don’t worry, the suffering you and Qi Qi have endured won’t just end like this. Grandpa will get you an explanation.”
"Thank you, Grandpa." Momo felt very touched; it was nice to have someone care about her feelings in a foreign country.
"Don't be shy, please sit down," Pi Weng said, and then sat down next to him.
Momo nodded and, without further ado, sat down to the side with Qiqi.
Except for Fu Yungui, the rest of the family are Buddhists, so they never drink alcohol at the dinner table. They can eat a meal for a long time without touching a drop of alcohol. Pi Weng tells them a lot of his interesting experiences at the table, and Momo and Qiqi listen very carefully and are very happy.
Qiqi jokingly told her grandfather that he was in a very leisurely mood today, as she had hardly ever heard these stories before.
Pi Weng just smiled and said that he was too busy at that time and couldn't take care of his family at all.
After dinner, knowing that she would be returning the next day, Pi Weng took her and Qi Qi to his collection room and picked out a set of porcelain as a gift for her.
"Grandpa, I can't accept this." Momo thought the set of exquisite little things was very expensive. The bottles and jars were carved with colorful patterns and had a strong Thai style. The lids were all pointed, which was very attractive.
"Take it," Fu Qiyu said with a smile. "Grandpa is very rich; this little thing is nothing to him."
“Yes.” Pion smiled as he looked at the lively girl in front of him. He felt an instant connection with her the first time he saw her.
