Chapter 84 Buying Him a Ring

Chapter 84 Buying Him a Ring

Bang Salai is quite different from other areas of Pattaya; it remains a closed-off town with limited infrastructure and transportation. Therefore, its beaches are largely unspoiled, and most areas are open and spacious, essentially covered in greenery.

After disembarking, the two motorboats remained moored in the harbor, and the group walked along the winding path.

Passing through the dense forest, Momo saw colorful cloths swaying in the wind not far away, surrounded by low houses scattered haphazardly.

The middle of the house used to be a narrow street, but now that more tourists come here, the street has become a noisy shopping area. Momo had never been to such a place before; it was chaotic and disorganized.

A strong fishy smell permeated the surrounding area, probably because it was too close to the lake and the smell was carried here by the wind.

After crossing the small wooden bridge spanning the Green River, they squeezed into the crowd.

Momo walked in front, looking at the various trinkets on the vendors' stalls with curiosity. She stared at them for a few moments, then took out her phone and casually snapped a few pictures, intending to send them to her mother later.

And there's ice cream next to it.

This hot weather, especially under the bright sunshine, is perfect for eating ice cream.

Fu Yungui, wearing sunglasses, strolled slowly behind with his hands in his pockets, watching the golden figure in front of him move closer to the vendors' stalls, but not daring to get too close.

Huang Momo's fair and radiant skin was strikingly conspicuous in the throng. If there were any ambushes nearby, her head would be the perfect target.

One shot is enough to take it down; there's no need to waste a second bullet.

Thinking this, the man quickly stepped forward, intending to pull the person behind him.

"Don't rush forward." He reached out and pressed his hand against her head, stopping her in her tracks.

Momo had just touched a wooden bead on a nearby stall, and before she could even hold it properly, the man pulled her away from behind.

"What?" Momo stumbled and crashed into his arms.

"Want to lose your life?"

Momo was taken aback by his words, and subconsciously shrank back a little further, then cautiously asked him, "Is it dangerous here?"

This place does look a bit chaotic and unsafe. But it shouldn't be dangerous enough to kill me, right?

Seeing her intently examining her surroundings, the man chuckled and teased her.

"Danger! One wrong move and you're going to meet your maker."

Momo was stunned.

Looking at the determination in her eyes, the man knew that she firmly believed in his words.

"Then let's leave quickly." She turned to look at him; the large number of people here meant increased danger.

The man glanced at her and laughed, "I was just kidding." She was so incredibly naive; she believed everything he said so easily.

Momo was annoyed and ignored him. She turned around and walked forward, then stopped in front of a jewelry stall.

The man curled the corners of his lips into a smile, then followed her.

"Is this pretty?" Momo asked him casually, picking up a handmade bracelet.

Seeing that she was asking him with such interest, Fu Yungui patiently glanced at the thing in her hand.

What, are you buying this for yourself?

This is a handmade bracelet made of sterling silver openwork beads and green phantom quartz crystals. It looks quite nice.

But he didn't like it at all; how could he bring such a sissy thing along?

"It's not good-looking."

Momo only saw his disgusted expression.

"Okay." She had originally wanted to try it on, but after hearing what he said, she lost half of her interest in even trying it on.

She put the things back where they belonged.

However, the stall owner was good at reading people. As soon as he heard the tone of their voices, he immediately assumed that they were a couple, and even a couple who seemed to be having a tiff. So he started recommending the couple rings next to them.

Momo shook her head to indicate that she wasn't interested and walked to the side to look at other things.

"Didn't you say you'd compensate me with a ring?" The man took a fancy to one of the rings next to him, picked it out, and fiddled with it in his hand.

Momo was taken aback, then remembered what she had said that morning, and readily agreed, "You like this? Of course you can."

This is much cheaper than the one he gave me, so using it to repay his ring is definitely a good deal.

"It's not about whether I like it or not, it was just a spur-of-the-moment thing." As he spoke, the man slipped the ring on to try it on.

Seeing his expression, Momo knew he was satisfied, just a little stubborn. Without further hesitation, she turned to the shopkeeper and asked, "How much is this?"

After all, it's not easy for him to find something that's in this price range.

Before the boss could speak, Fu Yungui grabbed her by the neck and made her turn her head to look down. "Are you stupid? It's written right there."

Momo paused for a moment, then slightly pulled away from his warm, damp hand. "I saw it, but that was a discounted price."

The sign says yes, wedding rings are on sale for 1000 Thai Baht.

However, since she's only buying one, the shop owner definitely won't give her a discount, so it's best to ask about the price beforehand.

"I'll just buy two." Fu Yungui guessed her thoughts immediately and refused before she could even speak.

"Why? I don't want it." Momo asked, puzzled.

"Cheap." The man said simply, then took out another ring from inside and quickly put it on her hand.

"Pay the money."

Sawa chuckled to himself. "Brother Yun is so stubborn. If you want to wear couple rings together, just say so. Why did you have to say something like 'I'm trying to save money'?"

If you're asking for a bargain on something that costs 1000 baht, you're just trying to fool this young girl.

No, judging from the younger sister's expression, she probably doesn't believe it at all, but she has no choice.

Momo glanced at the ring on her hand, feeling somewhat helpless. She had just thrown one away, and less than a day later, another one had appeared. But she didn't want to argue with him anymore, so she reached for the bag hanging on her body, preparing to take out her money.

"1000 baht, right?" she asked the shopkeeper again in Thai to confirm.

The boss nodded.

She reached inside and rummaged around, only to find it empty, with nothing inside.

"Oh no, Fu Yungui, my money..." she said, a little embarrassed, "it seems like my money is gone."

I was walking through this crowded place just now, I hope I wasn't robbed.

That can't be right, it's only been a few minutes. And I didn't feel anything at all.

The man frowned slightly, leaned closer to her, and pinched her cheek with a smile. "Huang Momo, what do you mean 'gone'? Did you bring any money?"

Momo's eyes were firm. "I brought it." When she packed her things to leave, she made a point of taking money out of her suitcase.

"Then you're really unlucky." The man smiled and patted her hair.

"Well, this..." Momo raised her hand, hesitated for a moment, and then said, "Should I buy it for you next time?"

"No." The man's face instantly turned cold, and he said firmly, "Buy it now."
