The bodyguard who had spoken let out a sigh of relief.

Inside the car, Li Qingling felt increasingly uneasy. Just as the car had completely driven away from the gate of the Kangjiameidi residential area, Li Qingling called out to Mo Feng, "Uncle Mo Feng, we have to go back."

"What?" Mo Feng, who was driving, looked completely bewildered. "Why are we going back, Miss?"

“I always felt that Nie Yu’s parents were strange, and I was worried about him.”

Using the spare computer in the car, Mo Feng hacked all of the Nie family's cameras. He then selected a few quick-thinking subordinates and, together with Li Qingling, infiltrated the Nie family again.

After searching all the rooms in the Nie family home, he quietly returned to Li Qingling's side and reported, "Miss, you guessed right, that boy named Nie Yu really isn't home."

"But where could he go?" Li Qingling hid behind the bushes in the garden, her hands supporting her chin, her brows furrowed with worry.

Just as the two were looking worried, a subordinate suddenly ran over and reported with a pained expression, "Miss, Assistant Mo, we...we've found something, please come and take a look."

Seeing the expressions on her subordinates' faces, Li Qingling had a bad feeling. She ran over and found a patch of turf lying on the side of the open space in the back garden of the villa. One of her subordinates was holding onto a square wooden board, not daring to look down at it.

Li Qingling stood there stunned for a few seconds. Seeing this, Mo Feng walked to the cave first to check. After seeing the scene in front of him, he couldn't bear it and turned the cave to the side.

Li Qingling dared not delay any longer and quickly walked to the edge of the cave. Just as she was about to get closer, Mo Feng stopped her, saying, "Miss, you'd better not look. You'll have nightmares tonight."

“It’s alright, Uncle Mo.” Li Qingling took a deep breath and tried her best to prepare herself mentally, but when she saw Nie Yu huddled in the corner of the cave, surrounded by snakes that were almost completely wrapped around him, she was so frightened that her legs went weak and she sat down on the ground.

"Young Miss." Mo Feng quickly helped her up, but Li Qingling was so frightened that she couldn't stand up at all, and the hairs on her body stood on end.

When Mo Feng looked at her again, her bright eyes had become moist, and large tears were falling down her cheeks.

She crouched at the edge of the cellar, suppressing her fear as she called out Nie Yu's name repeatedly, "Nie Yu, are you alright? Can you hear me? I'm Li Qingling. Today is the first day we met. I bandaged your wound with a handkerchief, do you remember?"

Nie Yu was sleeping soundly in the cellar. He vaguely heard Li Qingling's voice, but the moment he regained consciousness, the snake bite wounds on his body came out in excruciating pain.

"Heh, the pain is so bad I'm hallucinating." Nie Yu curled his lips in self-deprecation and used all his strength to sit up against the wall.

It was very dark inside the cave, and he couldn't see very clearly, but when he looked up, he found that the cave door was open.

Li Qingling, who was on the ground, vaguely saw Nie Yu move slightly. Overjoyed, she shouted again, "Nie Yu, are you awake? Are you alright?"

This time, Nie Yu finally heard Li Qingling's voice clearly and finally understood that the voice that had woken her up was not a hallucination, but that Li Qingling had really come.

"Uncle Mo Feng, he's still alive! Please save him! Please save him!" Upon hearing his voice, Li Qingling grabbed Mo Feng's arm and shook it repeatedly, pleading with him.

Li Qingling was someone he had watched grow up. She was both his little master and like family. Mo Feng couldn't resist her coquettishness and immediately ordered his men to go into the cellar and bring Nie Yu up.

Seeing the snake bite wounds all over Nie Yu's thin arms and calves, even Mo Feng, who had dealt with underground organizations for many years, couldn't bear to look at him.

"They're utterly beasts! How could they do something like this to a 7-year-old child? Aren't they afraid of being struck by lightning?"

Nie Yu was in so much pain that she lost consciousness and collapsed into Mo Feng's arms in a daze. In her blurred vision, she seemed to see Li Qingling running towards her.

"Nie Yu, how are you? Are you feeling unwell? Don't be afraid, we'll take you to the hospital." Li Qingling looked at him with heartache, momentarily at a loss for where to look, because his body was almost entirely covered in snake bite wounds, except for the pink and white handkerchief in his hand, which he clutched tightly in his palm, completely unharmed.

Li Qingling hadn't expected Nie Yu to cherish her handkerchief so much, and her eyes involuntarily welled up with tears.

"What an idiot." She held back her tears and looked at Mo Feng through her blurry eyes. "Uncle Mo Feng, let's go and take him to the hospital."
