With a creak, the sound of a wooden door being pushed open let in a burst of bright light. She instinctively turned her head away to avoid the sunlight.

She listened to the "thump-thump-thump" sound of the other man's leather shoes hitting the wooden board, and as her eyes gradually adjusted to the light, she slightly raised her head and squinted at the man standing in front of her.

To her surprise, this person was none other than Nie Yu's biological father, Nie Zhenyuan.

"Miss Ling'er, it's been a long time."

Li Qingling supported herself with her hands, trying to lean against the wall.

Because she hadn't had any food or water for a long time, she was exhausted and her voice was hoarse. "Uncle Nie, why did you kidnap me?"

"You'll have to ask your good friend Nie Yu about that."

"Nie Yu? You arrested me because of Nie Yu?" Li Qingling guessed a possibility, but all she could think about was Nie Yu's safety.

“Li Qingling, you don’t really think that Nie Yu is just an ordinary person, do you? Nie Zhenyuan squatted down, about to grab Li Qingling's chin, when she slapped him away.

"Don't touch me! You've abused and tormented Nie Yu since he was a child. Even if he can't hold back one day and kills you, you deserve it! I don't think he's done anything wrong. You're the ones who deserve to die!"

Ever since Nie Yu was thrown into the snake pit, Li Qingling has had no good feelings towards anyone in the Nie family.

Even though she was shocked to learn that Nie Yu had been hiding his revenge plan all these years, she still chose to stand firmly on Nie Yu's side in the face of Nie Zhenyuan's deliberate provocation.

"It seems you and my son have a really deep bond." Ignoring Li Qingling's resistance, Nie Zhenyuan grabbed her chin tightly. "I didn't arrest you to get your side. I want you to write a letter to Nie Yu and make him come and rescue you obediently."

"You're dreaming!" Li Qingling gritted her teeth and squeezed out these three words.

"You child, how can you be so stubborn at such a young age?" Nie Zhenyuan released his grip on her chin, and the next second he pulled out a knife from his waist and slashed Li Qingling's wrist.

A shocking bloodstain instantly appeared on her fair wrist, and bright red blood dripped continuously from her fingertips.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, Nie Zhenyuan took out a piece of white paper from his pocket, attempting to catch Li Qingling's blood.

"What do you want to do?" Li Qingling struggled, but the next second her wrist was gripped tightly by Nie Zhenyuan. As the excruciating pain came, her blood began to drip onto the white paper.

“I asked you to write a letter, but you refused. Since that’s the case, I can only use some methods that will drive Nie Yu even more crazy and heartbroken to remind him.”

"I don't want to! Let me go! Let me go!" Li Qingling struggled desperately, but how could a teenager with her hands and feet bound by iron chains be a match for Nie Zhenyuan? Soon, the white paper was completely stained red with her blood.

Nie Yu felt as if she had been struck by lightning. She practically grabbed her subordinate by the collar and dragged him up from the ground. "What happened to her?"

The subordinate, his face ashen, pulled a blood-stained note from his pocket. It was written in black ink: “If you want to save Li Qingling, come to Xihai alone. If you call the police or contact the Li family, I guarantee you’ll never see her again.”

Nie Yu stared in shock at the bright red paper strip. The bloodstains were still wet, and when he took it with trembling hands, the dampness almost tore his heart apart.

"Prepare the car! Prepare the car for me!" he roared at his subordinates.

For his safety, his subordinate suppressed his fear and reminded him, "Young Master, let's do a DNA test first. What if all of this is Nie Zhenyuan's conspiracy? If you go alone, you'll only fall into his trap."

"I told you to get the car ready!" Nie Yu roared, his bloodshot eyes already filled with tears.

He couldn't imagine what kind of torture Li Qingling had endured while she was taken away by Nie Zhenyuan. She was so thin and frail, how could she withstand the torment of that devil?

Even if all of this was Nie Zhenyuan's trap, as long as he could confirm her safety, he would have no regrets even if he died.

The subordinate was so frightened that he lost his mind. After a few seconds of stunned silence, he realized that there was absolutely no way he could persuade the young master, so he scrambled to prepare the vehicle.

Meanwhile, Gu Momo nearly collapsed after discovering that Li Qingling had disappeared.
