In a world of immortals and swordsmen, a young Taoist named Mu Shao'ai loves flying swords, raising poison insects, drawing talismans, and refining pills. Isn't it delightful to live a care...
Bai Cang was about to leap up and kick over the alchemy furnace to experience the thrill of being a chosen one.
Suddenly, the purple flames of the Tushita Heaven appeared out of thin air, weaving together to form a talisman.
The talisman was not in its physical form, but only a wisp of its spirit could be seen.
But there's something inexplicable about it that makes it feel perfectly integrated into everything.
It seems that no matter where it stands, it can perfectly blend into that world.
At this moment, it descends, gathering the pure energy of the nine heavens above and the spiritual energy of the ten earths below, outlining the formless aura and exhausting all changes.
It seems that it will appear in different forms in the eyes of different people.
But in Bai Cang's eyes at this moment, it was clearly a fusion of countless hexagrams.
"This is... the Primordial Dao, the manifestation of the origin?"
Bai Cang was utterly shocked, and a strange expression appeared on his face. "Old Li, no, Senior Li, have you gone mad?"
The previous one was very calculating and unwilling to give him any benefits.
Li Boyang, who even went so far as to bow to him, was actually so generous?
Could it be that it has been possessed by some extraterrestrial demon?
Bai Cang's vision is now vastly different from before, and he can easily discern the origin of this edict at a glance.
It was clearly a projection of the Great Dao, the origin of primordial Yin and Yang!
If someone can comprehend and refine it, they might be able to ascend to heaven in one step, merging with the various Great Daos that branch off from the "Primordial Yin-Yang Great Dao," such as the "Primordial Qian-Kun Great Dao," and become a "Golden Immortal of the Dao."
Although this means that they will be subject to the rule of the "Primordial Yin-Yang Dao Master," who is also the founder of Xuandu Temple, and will be under his tutelage, there will inevitably be many restrictions.
But this is a "Golden Immortal of the Dao Integration"!
Who the hell could resist such temptation?
Even Bai Cang couldn't help but feel an urge to grab it and refine it instantly.
You actually used this thing to test me, Daoist Master?
Which Dao Lord could withstand such a test?!
Li Boyang's generosity was almost frightening.
It was this "fear" that allowed Bai Cang to calm his mind and suppress his yearning for harmony with the Great Dao.
He then calmed his mind and focused intently on comprehending this "Great Dao Edict".
"Heaven is high, earth is low; thus, the universe is established!"
As Bai Cang's thoughts raced, the "Heart-Mind Divine Calculation" circulated endlessly, and a proverb suddenly resounded in his mind.
The Great Way is formless, yet it takes shape according to the things around it.
The manifestation of the Great Way varies from person to person.
In Bai Cang's eyes at this moment, this "Great Dao Edict" had split into the "Qian" and "Kun" trigrams.
Qian and Kun are the first of all hexagrams and the source of the Great Dao.
Upon hearing this proverb, Bai Cang was immediately filled with profound understanding.
“The lowly and the noble are arranged in order of their positions.”
"Movement and stillness have their constants; thus, the distinction between hardness and softness is made."
"Good fortune, misfortune, regret, and shame—the changes are thus revealed."
"The eight trigrams interact and rub against each other, and the hard and soft interact and rub against each other."
"Strike it with thunder and lightning, and nourish it with wind and rain."
"The sun and moon move in their course, and there is a cold and a hot season."
“The male is formed by the Heavenly Stem, and the female is formed by the Earthly Branch.”
"Qian knows the beginning, and Kun creates things."
Words of wisdom echoed in Bai Cang's heart.
The phrase "乾知大始,坤作成物" suddenly becomes fixed, giving rise to even more profound meanings.
"Qian is easy to understand, Kun is simple to accomplish."
"What is easy to understand is easy to know; what is simple is easy to follow."
"What is easy to know will attract affection, and what is easy to follow will bring success."
"With family ties, things can last; with merit, things can be great."
"If it can last, it is the virtue of the Taoist; if it can be great, it is the achievement of the Taoist."
"Simplicity reveals the principles of the world!"
"When the principles of the world are understood, one can attain the Way within them."
The two hexagrams, "Qian" and "Kun," continued to evolve, weaving together in Bai Cang's heart a chapter that seemed to exhaust all the mysteries of heaven and earth.
"boom!"
The next moment.
He transformed into a Tai Chi symbol, his entire body covered in black and white, outlining profound and insightful maxims.
Good fortune and misfortune, gain and loss, regret and worry—all are contained within it.
Change, advance and retreat, strength and gentleness, day and night—all return to their proper order.
“The commentary on the hexagrams speaks of the images; the lines on the lines speak of the changes.”
Bai Cang was filled with profound insights, murmuring to himself, "Being similar to Heaven and Earth, therefore one does not deviate; knowing all things and benefiting the world, therefore one does not overstep; acting independently without being swayed, finding joy in Heaven and accepting one's fate, therefore one is free from worry; being content with one's lot and cultivating benevolence, therefore one can love..."
Thus, they "knew the unseen and the seen," "knew life and death," and "knew ghosts and spirits."
It is also said: It encompasses the transformations of heaven and earth without exceeding them, and it shapes all things without omission.
He understands the way of day and night, therefore the spirit has no fixed form and the change has no fixed shape.
Heaven and Earth set their positions, and the principles of change are thus established!
As Bai Cang's understanding deepened, the Daoist proverbs on his body surface also changed constantly, intertwining and evolving.
This caused the black and white Tai Chi symbol to gradually transform into pure white.
The Yin and Yang energies transformed into the Primordial White Qi, but the evolution did not stop, and gradually a touch of Xuanhuang color was added.
"Heaven one, Earth two; Heaven three, Earth four; Heaven five, Earth six; Heaven seven, Earth eight; Heaven nine, Earth ten..."
"The number of Heaven is five, the number of Earth is five, and the five positions are in harmony and each has its own combination."
"The number of Heaven is twenty-five, the number of Earth is thirty, and the total number of Heaven and Earth is fifty-five."
"This is how transformations are achieved and spirits are manipulated!"
Bai Cang recited the proverb, "The nature and way of Heaven and Man are perfectly upright and without evil, hence it is said: pure, subtle, and easy to teach!"
As he began to speak, his eyes reflected countless hexagrams, with "Heaven and Earth" at the head and "Heart and Mind" as the number.
"The Great Derivation Number is fifty, and its use is forty-nine. It is divided into two to represent the two elements."
“Hang one to represent three, divide it by four to represent the four seasons, return the odd number to the leap year to represent the intercalary month, and the leap year occurs twice every five years, so the leap year is repeated twice before hanging one.”
“All kinds of phenomena are observed through divination and hexagram arrangement, proceeding in an orderly manner according to the Dao, like water flowing gently according to its own nature.”
"This principle applies to all things, hence it is called the Great Expansion."
The sum of the numbers of Heaven and Earth is fifty-five. The number of Heaven is five, which is in the middle and is not counted. Therefore, the number of the Great Expansion is fifty.
The void is not used, but symbolizes Taiji, serving as the source for subsequent steps; therefore, its number of uses is forty-nine.
"By keeping the center empty, one can reach all directions without contradiction; by keeping the beginning empty, one can change endlessly!"
Therefore it is said: The Book of Changes contains four aspects of the Way of the Sage!
The meaning of change lies in the combination of numbers, and the essence of change lies in the interplay of numbers.
The myriad hexagrams and their variations are endless, and the ultimate changes of heaven and earth are explored.
Suddenly, it all came together to form a profound truth: "The movement of the six lines is the way of the three extremes!"
The true meaning of this Great Dao was reflected in his heart, and the Tai Su white Qi covering Bai Cang's body was completely dyed with the Xuan Huang color, transforming into a completely different state.
This Qi, in its dark yellow hue, is the mother of heaven and earth and the root of the Great Dao.
Therefore it is said: The Primordial Qi of the Yellow Mother!
"boom!"
The next moment.
The "Huangji Jingshi Shu" operates spontaneously, "to meet the cycle of events" is completed, and "to govern the world through events" is initially formed. The primordial energy of Xuanhuang is born and the Dao of the Great Beginning is expounded!
The Great Beginning is the instant of form, when Yin and Yang combine and blend into one, from which form arises.
In the beginning of form, there was nothing yet that had substance!
"The interplay of Yin and Yang constitutes the Dao!"
"The Book of Changes is in accordance with the principles of Heaven and Earth, therefore it can encompass the Way of Heaven and Earth."
Just then, the final proverb was spoken.
Bai Cang snapped back to his senses, and the Dao of the Primordial Beginning had already begun to operate!
