Note that this book is a slow-burn novel, and it will become increasingly exciting as the story progresses.
It starts from 2002, beginning at the Beijing Film Academy, and starting with the H...
"what?"
Shen Lanlan patted Shen Fang on the shoulder and said earnestly, "Uncle, you've grown up. You know how to pick cabbages now."
Sinking Square...
Kelly Chen and Fan Xiaopang laughed heartily.
Shen Fang slapped Shen Lanlan on the back of the head.
"Go to the side, hurry up and pour some tea, bring up your snacks and stuff, cut some fruit too, Xiao Kun, have you ordered any dishes?"
"I ordered it, it should arrive in a bit."
Kelly Chen hugged Shen Fang's arm.
“Darling, your granddaughter is so funny, hee hee.”
Sinking Square....
"Our family is unfortunate to have produced such a wicked child."
Shen Lanlan brought over a bunch of snacks in no time and even cut a fruit platter. She had recently been trained by Shen Fang and was now very good at cutting fruit platters. She could easily apply for a job as a head chef at a karaoke bar. She cut the fruit in a very professional manner and could even arrange the plating properly.
A moment later, the doorbell rang.
Shen Lanlan got up and opened the door.
Who are you???
The person who arrived was none other than Assistant Ah Ling.
He speaks broken Mandarin.
"This is Villa No. 9 in Xishan, I am...."
Kelly Chen heard Ah Ling's voice and quickly came over.
"Sister Ling."
Ah Ling breathed a sigh of relief when she saw Kelly Chen. She was finally able to meet her in person. As a Hong Konger, she wasn't very fluent in the language, so Shen Fang simply dropped her off at the airport. The woman was carrying three suitcases, and the taxi driver chatted with her the whole way, but she didn't know what to say.
"Princess, have you forgotten about me? I called you several times, but you didn't answer. I almost got lost."
Kelly Chen looked at her resentful assistant and felt a little embarrassed.
"I didn't notice, sorry, Sister Ling."
Shen Kun then came out and helped carry the luggage in.
Dinner was lavish, featuring lamb spine, Buddha Jumps Over the Wall, lobster, crab, and various other seafood. We also had noodles with soybean paste for dinner.
Kelly Chen enjoyed her meal. Hong Kong food is generally bland and doesn't have much flavor, so this dinner suited her taste perfectly.
Shen Fang wiped the corner of Kelly Chen's mouth.
"Your mouth is covered in food, is that alright? If you like it, we can eat it every day."
Kelly Chen's eyes lit up upon hearing this.
"Okay, I like it very much."
Fan Xiaopang also had a rare, satisfying meal.
"It's very well made, and the Zha Jiang Mian (noodles with soybean paste) is delicious. The food in Hong Kong doesn't suit my taste at all, and it makes my stomach upset."
Shen Fang smiled and said, "It's normal to not be used to the food. A lot of the food in Hong Kong is quite sweet. How could you, a northerner, get used to it?"
We were full and satisfied.
Shen Lanlan, Shen Kun, and A Ling all went to the classroom building with good sense. The light bulb was gone, and Shen Fang leaned against Fan Xiaopang's lap, watching TV.
