Chapter 299 Premiere Begins

The next day at dawn.

At 10 a.m., Universal Pictures held its premiere in Times Square, New York.

A massive poster, 10 meters long and 10 meters wide, stands at the cinema entrance. Jet Li, in the center, holds a sword, dressed in a black outfit, his sharp gaze exuding domineering power. Colin Firth and Tony Leung, both in red, face off, swords in hand. Finally, Chen Daoming, dressed in a black robe emblazoned with a mythical bird, sits on a throne, radiating an aura of power. The entire poster is aesthetically pleasing and vibrantly colored; this single poster alone cost nearly $30,000.

In the very center of Times Square, they invited Helen, a well-known American host.

The event was a star-studded affair, with Hollywood giants such as Anne Hathaway, Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Cruise, Mel Gibson, Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts, Robin Williams, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Harrison Ford, Kevin Costner, Jim Carrey, and Bruce Willis in attendance.

These are all the work of Harvey and Mike. After several rounds of deliberation and discussion, Mike and the executives at Universal felt that this film was worth investing in, so they put in a lot of effort this time. Harvey also went all out, inviting artists he had worked with in the industry to cheer for the premiere of Hero.

The event was star-studded, with over a hundred media outlets present, including many from abroad. These included media from the UK, Australia, Japan, South Korea, and China.

The flashbulbs were going off like they were free.

Liu Qianqian wore a white princess dress, adorned with luxury jewelry, exuding extraordinary temperament, elegance, and poise. Like a little princess, she carried Chen Fang, who was dressed in a black suit with sharp features and exceptionally handsome looks.

As the couple walked down the red carpet, the surrounding media and crowd exclaimed in amazement, wondering, "Where did this princess and prince come from?"

The flashbulbs kept going off.

Then Ambassador Zhang brought everyone from the embassy to show their support. This was an official event, and many well-known media outlets present recognized the Chinese ambassador and found it quite outrageous. An ambassador attending a premiere? What kind of status is this?

The scene immediately reached a climax.

One by one, everyone walked down the red carpet.

The interview began with Mike and Harvey taking the stage, primarily promoting Jet Li, Mandy Lieu, and Leung Chiu-wai, while Cheung Tsz-yee was only making a cameo appearance.

Harvey Hamed was on stage praising and exaggerating in every way possible. He called it a treasure of the ancient Eastern culture, an artistic explosion, the pinnacle of martial arts, the voice of the world's number one emperor, and Jet Li's masterpiece. He went on and on, praising it to the point of exhaustion.

The reporters on site were very enthusiastic, taking photos, notes, and even broadcasting live.

Then it's the show's turn with Zhang Yimou, Jet Li, and Maggie Cheung.

"Crystal, you look so beautiful today."

"Ivanka, you're so beautiful too! You have such a great figure, I'm so envious of you."

"Chen looks really handsome today, like a prince. This is my best friend, Zhukova. This is Chen, and this is her sister Crystal."

Shen Fang looked at Ivanka, who was wearing a long, flowing gold rhinestone dress, with wavy golden hair, a slender figure, and exquisite makeup. Her upper body was even more exaggerated, almost bulging out. Her snow-white, round breasts were quite eye-catching.

Zhukova, standing next to Ivanka, was equally impressive. She had a curvaceous figure, was shorter than Ivanka, but had a delicate face, elegant demeanor, and a noble air. She was clearly a socialite. It's true that socialites like to hang out with other socialites; she was probably a rich second-generation heiress as well.

Shen Fang smiled as he looked at Ivanka and Zhukova, flashing his bright white teeth.

"Ivanka, you are truly a gift from God. But isn't your dress a little too small? It's almost showing your private parts. Miss Zhukova, hello, another great beauty."

Ivanka rolled her eyes at Zhong Lingxuan upon hearing this.

"Why do you keep looking at me like this, saying it's too small? I think it's just right. You don't understand, I dressed like this on purpose."

Shen Fang shrugged: "I just think you're wearing those two treasures a little too tight."

Ivanka blushed instantly; Shen Fang was teasing her.

Liu Qianqian, standing to the side, retorted angrily, "Even if you have a good relationship with Ivanka now, why do you have to look there? You shouldn't look at things you shouldn't! Brother Chen Fang, why don't you wait until I'm older to look at me?"

Shen Fang felt an attack on his waist and immediately shut his mouth.

Zhukova, standing to the side, was momentarily captivated by Shen Fang's chiseled, angular face and composed, elegant demeanor, like that of a noble young master. How could a man be so handsome?! Even more handsome than Leonardo DiCaprio!!

"Sink, here!!!"

Harvey waved to Chen Fang.

Shen Fang, I'm so grateful to you, you eight generations of ancestors! Princess Sissi was angry, and I was worried about how to appease her, but Harvey saved me!!!

"Ahem, I have something to attend to. You guys chat. The snacks today are quite good."

Shen Fang immediately made his escape and arrived at Harvey's youth.

"Chen, how was it? I put in a lot of effort this time. Are you satisfied?"

Harvey handed Shen Fang a cigar.

Shen Fang took the cigar, and Harvey, being very obsequious, lit it for him.

Shen Fang patted Harvey on the shoulder.

"It's alright, I'm satisfied. Keep it up. How's the preparation for the promotional program going?"

"The show is packed with people from America's most popular talk shows, The Ellen Show, The Helen Show, The Sun, Fox, BBC, CNN, CBS, The New York Post, The Globe, Boston newspapers, and Time magazine. The cast is all booked. Once the opening weekend box office figures are in, we'll withdraw completely. This time, it's opening on 800 screens, so we're sure to achieve great results."
