Chapter 35 Dragon, Tiger, and Phoenix

Once parasites migrate within the human body, they can cause damage to various parts of the body, especially the skin and muscle tissue. Wherever they remain during migration, abscesses and nodules can form. When they migrate into the nervous system, they can cause inflammation of the brain and spinal cord.

Little Ma quickly spat out the frog in his mouth and looked at Chen Fang.

"Little brother, you're not making this up, are you?"

Shen Fang shrugged: "There have been cases in China where this insect has caused cellular cerebrospinal fluid inflammation leading to death."

These parasites are extremely resilient; even after stir-frying or deep-frying frog meat, they are not easily killed. The larvae of the bibasal worm parasitize the subcutaneous tissue of the abdomen, wrists, and calves. The resulting bibasal larvae cause surrounding human cells to produce a mucus, leading to facial swelling and, in severe cases, abscesses. If these bibasal larvae invade the eye, they cause various inflammations, easily leading to corneal ulcers, decreased vision, and even blindness. They can also parasitize the area around the eyes and kidneys.

"Anyway, I don't eat these things. I'm mainly afraid of dying, and they're not clean or hygienic. If you're not afraid, feel free to eat them."

After saying that, Shen Fang picked up a skewer of mutton and started eating it. It tasted delicious. The scene immediately became very awkward.

Looking at the fragrant stir-fried frog legs they had just eaten, everyone felt nauseous, even imagining that there were insects crawling in them.

Shen Fang looked at everyone with a mischievous grin: "Eat up, eat quickly, eat more."

Shen Lanlan looked at Shen Fang with resentment.

"Uncle, since you've said that, how are we supposed to eat?"

Brother Ma was speechless for a moment: "Brother, if you don't eat, we're afraid to eat either. I'm really fed up with you. I've eaten frogs many times, I hope I don't have any parasites in my body. What you're saying makes me feel like there are worms moving inside me."

Shen Fang smiled and said, "I'm telling the truth. Eating these things long-term can really cause problems, but eating them once in a while is not a big deal. As long as you don't eat them every day, it's fine. I checked, and the owner cleaned them fairly well. They were deep-fried at high temperatures, so they should be okay."

Hearing this, everyone felt relieved and continued to enjoy their late-night snack, but no one touched the plate of frog meat again.

After the late-night snack, Shen Fang and the others booked eight rooms nearby. Lu Jinbo had to go home; he was a married man and definitely couldn't stay overnight.

After a quick wash, Shen Fang lay on the bedside thinking about the day's events and eventually drifted off to sleep.
