Chapter Thirty-One

"Brother Han, this is Xiang Bei, I need help!" Cheng Xiang Bei shouted as soon as the call connected.

"What's wrong? Don't rush, tell me slowly." Han Mingjun was drinking with a group of subordinates, and the background was very noisy.

"Nannan has been kidnapped! I need help!" Cheng Xiangbei shouted.

"Kidnapping?!" Han Mingjun raised an eyebrow. "Which bastard did this?!"

"If only I knew!" Cheng Xiangbei said anxiously, "I have the other party's license plate number and a few suspicious people, but right now I just want to find out Lu Nan's whereabouts!" It would be fine if the other party demanded a ransom, but there has been no movement at all, which is what he fears the most.

"Give me the license plate number, I'll check it!" Han Mingjun said decisively. "Where are you now? I'll be right there!"

“Okay!” Cheng Xiangbei gave him the license plate number and confirmed his location.

"You wait, I'll be there in fifteen minutes!" Han Mingjun slammed down the phone. He turned and clapped his hands, and the room immediately fell silent. "Stop drinking, everyone, we have a mission!"

"Yes!" The two tables of people who had just been laughing and joking stood up in unison, their posture upright and their eyes fixed straight ahead. There was no trace of relaxation left.

"Things went smoothly. Let's continue our drinks when we get back." Han Mingjun's sharp eyes swept over everyone. "I can tell you clearly that this was a personal matter for me. Anyone with objections can stay."

The entire two tables remained silent. An officer at the bottom raised his hand and said, "Boss, just say the word if you need anything. We'll follow you through thick and thin."

"It's not that serious!" Han Mingjun waved his hand. "Show some special forces discipline. If anyone embarrasses themselves outside, don't blame me for being impolite."

"Don't worry, I guarantee I'll complete the mission!"

"Alright, let's go!"

The soldiers, having undergone professional training, were truly different. They parked three cars in front of Cheng Xiangbei without making a sound.

"Brother Han!" Seeing Han Mingjun roll down the car window, Cheng Xiangbei rushed to the front of the car.

"Don't panic." Han Mingjun got out of the car and patted him on the shoulder. "I've already pulled some strings to investigate, and I'll have news coming soon."

Cheng Xiangbei took a deep breath and said with trembling hands, "Brother, I..."

Seeing his reddened eyes, Han Mingjun put his hand on his shoulder. "With Brother Han here, Lu Nan will be alright."

"Boss! Boss!" Just as the two were exchanging pleasantries, Li Weide and Luo Ming ran over. "We have news! We have news!"

"What news?!"

“Meng… Meng Tianze!…” Li Weide gasped for breath, his voice trembling as he said, “He… he called!”

"And then?" Cheng Xiangbei asked anxiously.

"He said Chu Lian... Chu Lian booked a room at Ya Yuan!"

"Ya Garden?" Cheng Xiangbei looked at Han Mingjun, who nodded.

"But Meng Tianze said that Chu Lian had contacted him just twenty minutes ago!"

"Huh? Could it be that we're heading in the wrong direction?" Cheng Xiangbei frowned.

"No matter what, let's get there first!"

Cheng Xiangbei gritted his teeth. "Fine!"

Having hope is better than having no hope, and Chu Lian actually turned and left as soon as she saw Lu Nan tied up. This is really not a normal person's reaction. Cheng Xiangbei was about to get into the car, but was stopped by Li Weide and Luo Ming. "Boss, we want to go too!"

"There might be danger!" Cheng Xiangbei said urgently.

"That's precisely why you should come along if there's danger!" Li Weide clung tightly to him. "Boss, there's strength in numbers!"

"Yeah, yeah, boss, do you even consider us your brothers?!"

Cheng Xiangbei's eyes welled up with tears. He forced his eyes open wide and patted Li Luo and Cheng Xiangbei on the shoulders. "Good brothers!"

"Xiang Bei, follow my car!" Han Mingjun called out.

"Okay!" Cheng Xiangbei hurriedly jumped into the car and shouted to Li and Luo, "Get in!"

"Oh, oh!" The two nodded. Li Weide touched the seat and asked, "Boss, whose car is this?"

“Mine.” Cheng Xiangbei slammed on the gas and followed Han Mingjun’s car.

"Boss, why have you never mentioned that you have a car?"

"Is this important?" Cheng Xiangbei's full attention was on the car in front of him.

"No, it's not important!" Li Weide quickly shook his head; now was not the time to talk about this.

"Hey, Yu, what exactly do you want?!" Lu Nan exclaimed in terror as her clothes were stripped off.

"What are you going to do?" Yu Mufeng grinned wickedly. "Do something that will make you too ashamed to show your face in front of Cheng Xiangbei."

"What you're doing is illegal!"

"Only heaven, earth, you, and I know about this, so what am I afraid of?"

Lu Nan shrank back and sneered, "You think destroying my tiger will make you interested in me? Dream on!"

"Don't you know the saying, 'Where there's a will, there's a way'?"

"If you dare touch a single hair on my head, the tiger will never let you get away with it!"

"You should worry about yourself first! I suddenly realize that taking just a few photos is too lenient on you!" Yu Mufeng kicked Lu Nan. "Didn't you say Xiang Bei would come to rescue you? Why isn't he here yet, huh?"

"Xiao Feng, step aside, let me take the picture first." Long Jiu Mo adjusted the camera focus, and pointed the dark lens at Lu Nan.

"Long Jiu, you're fucking despicable!" Lu Nan curled up, trying to cover his private parts. He had good skin, and Yu Mufeng's kick immediately left a bruise on his thigh.

"Oh, Lu Nan, you really are born with the fate of a rabbit, look at your delicate skin." Long Jiu Mo smiled lightly, pressing his finger mercilessly down on the bruise.

"Ugh!" Lu Nan groaned in pain. "Shameless!"

"The most shameless part is yet to come!" Long Jiu Mo said to Mu Feng while pressing the shutter button, "Xiao Feng, spread his body apart!"

Yu Mufeng forcefully flipped Lu Nan's body over. Lu Nan struggled, cursing incessantly. "You two bastards! You'll get your comeuppance!"

"Retribution?" Long Jiu Mo sneered. "I've never believed in that! But you should think about Cheng Xiang Bei's reaction when he sees these photos."

I believe in tigers!

What would happen if these photos were uploaded online?

"Then I'll believe him too!"

"You're about to die and you still don't realize it!" Long Jiu Mo shook his head and said with a wicked smile, "Looks like I can't shut you up without some ruthlessness."

"Brother Han, how are you?" The car sped towards the entrance of Ya Garden at an incredible speed, and Cheng Xiangbei jumped out before the car had even come to a complete stop. Li Weide and Luo Ming were so frightened by his reckless speed that they squatted by the roadside and vomited profusely.

“I received a call from Director An on the way. According to road surveillance footage, the car did indeed arrive in this area.”

"Are you sure this is the place?"

"The cell phone signal test will be here shortly, just two more minutes."

"Brother, I can't wait a second longer!" Cheng Xiangbei said excitedly.

"I know, I know." Han Mingjun patted his shoulder. "It'll be ready soon."

Cheng Xiangbei broke free from him and dashed to the bottom of the steps of Ya Yuan. The guard beside him immediately stepped in front of him. "Sir, do you have a membership card?"

Cheng Xiangbei shook his head anxiously and said, "I want to go in and find someone."

"Sorry, people without a card are not allowed to enter."

"Brother, please make an exception!" Cheng Xiangbei whispered.

"This is a high-end private club." The guard's neck was almost twisted to the sky, looking arrogant.

"Get out of the way, I need to go in!" Enraged by their disdainful attitude, Cheng Xiangbei punched one of them to the ground.

"Sir! Don't try anything!" Another guard pressed the alarm and raised his baton to stop him. Cheng Xiangbei glared angrily and kicked the weapon away. "Damn it, get out of the way!"

The two had only exchanged a few blows when they heard a series of chaotic footsteps. A large number of security personnel emerged from various corners and lined up to block Cheng Xiangbei's path.

"What? Kid, you want to cause trouble?" A man who looked like a manager stepped out from behind the crowd and smiled contemptuously. "Trying to force your way in without even knowing where you are."

"You!" Cheng Xiangbei was furious. "Don't look down on people!"

"Hmph! Kid, don't be so arrogant. I'll have someone teach you what it means to follow the rules." The man smiled smugly and was about to order his men to take action.

Just as Cheng Xiangbei was preparing to fight, he heard a low shout from behind: "Who dares to move!"

Everyone looked at Cheng Xiangbei's back, where a cold-faced man with an imposing aura stood straight beside him.

In the darkness, under the neon lights, all the hazy glow paled in comparison to the man's cold, hard aura. A sudden silence fell over the scene, the air thick with a palpable tension.

"Who dares to touch my brother, huh?" The man was wearing a military uniform, an ordinary combat uniform, without even a rank insignia.

"Who, who are you?" The steward of Ya Garden tried to keep his voice from trembling.

"You have no right to ask," the man said with a smug smile. "Let us in."

"Impossible!" The manager straightened his back, then suddenly remembered that there was a row of security guards beside him. These were not ordinary security guards, but professional bodyguards who had been specially tested by the boss.

"Oh? You think you have more people?" The man raised an eyebrow and snapped his fingers.

Bang! The doors of several cars parked by the roadside burst open in an instant, and well-trained soldiers quickly assembled behind him within seconds. Aside from the sound of the night wind, the only other sound was the rhythmic footsteps of the soldiers as they assembled. Once they stood at attention, the scene fell completely silent again.

Iron discipline created a deathly silence.

The man stared coldly at the manager of Ya Yuan. "Get out of the way!"

"You, you're going too far!" The steward secretly wiped the cold sweat from his forehead.

"Time waits for no one, bro!" Cheng Xiangbei tugged at his sleeve, and the man nodded. "Brothers, charge! If we lose, don't say I led the troops!"

"Yes!" With a chorus of shouts, the soldiers swiftly charged forward.

Upon seeing this, the security guards at Yayuan immediately retaliated. A chaotic brawl ensued, and the guards inside the glass doors, realizing the situation was dire, hastily locked the main gate.

"Damn it!" the man cursed under his breath, turned around, grabbed a steel pipe from the car, and handed it to Cheng Xiangbei. "Smash it!"

Cheng rushed north into the crowd, heading straight for the glass door. As if by unspoken agreement, Han Mingjun's soldiers fought their way through the crowd, allowing him to reach the door safely. "Bang!"—The tempered glass was too sturdy; even smashing it wouldn't leave a dent.

Cheng Xiangbei was so angry he jumped up and down. Under the cover of the crowd, he moved to the glass window next door. Bang! The glass shattered with a single blow, and with the help of the human ladder, Cheng Xiangbei tumbled into the house.

"Ah—!!" A woman's scream came from inside the house.

"North, direction confirmed! Jutao Pavilion, third floor!" the man shouted from behind.

"Yes!" Cheng Xiangbei clenched his fist and dashed out like an arrow.

Nan Nan, hang in there! The tiger is coming to save you!
