"You looked so listless on Monday. What did you do over the weekend?"

Cheng Yang lay motionless on the table. Anna tapped on the table to talk to him, and he forced his eyes open. "Don't make noise, let me rest for a while."

"Hey! Didn't you sleep last night? That's not like you, the hardworking and dedicated top student."

"I practiced martial arts with my master yesterday, and now my whole body aches so much that I feel like I've fallen apart and can't be put back together."

Anna chuckled. "Why would a bookish teacher like you bother learning martial arts?"

"Then tell me about it."

Cheng Yang moved his lips, but seemed to be really too tired, and ultimately said nothing.

The bracelet vibrated, and Chi Xia looked up to see that it was Feng Xu calling. She put on her earphones and answered.

"Hello--"

"Teacher Chi, didn't you say you would guarantee my brother's safety?"

Chi Xia glanced around and lowered her voice, "Wait a minute."

Feng Xu took a deep breath and waited silently. Chi Xia got up and went out to the corridor near the back door of the office. "President Feng, what happened to Tong Yue?"

"He seemed fine yesterday, but suddenly developed a high fever last night. When I found him, he had already fainted from the fever!"

Chi Xia: "At the hospital or at home? What did the doctor say?"

Feng Xu: "The hospital doctor said it's an infection. I asked him about Saturday night yesterday, but he wouldn't tell me. Did he come into contact with the insect people?"

Upon hearing this, Xin Ran was intrigued and immediately decided to go to the hospital with her. Chi Xia would go see Tong Yue, and Xin Ran would go see the insectoid.

The two made a private agreement to switch their classes and attend the first period.

On the way, Chi Xia recounted her experience at the banquet hosted by Old Madam Cheng to Xin Ran. Chi Xia: "No. Ye Feng's people are in control, no one noticed me."

Upon arriving at the hospital, the two went their separate ways. Xin Ran chatted with a nurse and learned Bai Yu's room number. He then skillfully slipped into Xun Jiang's office. Xun Jiang was in the operating room for a surgery, so Xin Ran changed into a spare white coat that Xun Jiang had provided, put on a mask, and went to the ward as naturally as if he were going home.

Chi Xia went to the VIP special care ward that Feng Xu had sent her as usual. There were two bodyguards standing at the door. Chi Xia told them her identity and they let her in.

Feng Xu was standing by the window when he heard the noise and turned around.

Chi Xia walked quietly to the bedside, looked at Tong Yue who was sleeping peacefully with a pale face but even breathing, and sat down on the stool next to him. Then she looked at Feng Xu, who was standing opposite her, and said in a low voice, "Go and take care of things first. I'll stay with him."

Feng Xu's bracelet had been vibrating all morning. There was a company meeting on Monday, but he, as the CEO, couldn't attend. His assistants couldn't make decisions on the important matters reported by various departments and kept asking him anxiously. Even though Feng Xu was in the hospital room, he didn't stop working. He was looking at the pictures his assistant gave him, which was very tiring.

However, it was difficult to explain Tong Yue's situation to his family. Feng Xu did not tell his parents, who were out for a morning run, that Tong Yue was sick, nor did he tell his two younger brothers much. Tong Yue had never been close to them, and they did not go to school together.

At this moment, Feng Xu didn't stand on ceremony. He leaned over the hospital bed with both hands and looked into Chi Xia's eyes, speaking in a low voice, "I'm entrusting my brother to you again. Please take good care of him for me. I'll come over as soon as I finish dealing with things at the company."

Chi Xia didn't care about the president's habitually commanding manner; she nodded calmly.

Feng Xu walked to the door, held the doorknob, and turned his head to look again. The anti-inflammatory IV drip had been finished long ago, and the doctor checked and said that everything was fine, but his younger brother still hadn't woken up.

As soon as the door opened and closed and Feng Xu left, Tong Yue immediately opened her eyes and sat up quickly, looking at Chi Xia awkwardly, "Teacher, I need to go to the toilet first."

"Go ahead." Watching Tong Yue clutch his stomach and run frantically to the bathroom, Chi Xia smiled, got up and opened the window to let in some fresh air. The boy came out looking almost exhausted. "I've been waiting for this class, and the teacher is finally here."

He woke up when Feng Xu called; he's really good at holding it in.

Chi Xia poured him a glass of water. "Why pretend to be asleep when you're awake? Your brother is worried."

Tong Yue took a sip of water, put the cup down, exhaled, and sat cross-legged on the bed. "I don't dare. He'll definitely scold me and ask about Saturday. I don't want to lie to him, but I don't dare to tell him the truth either."

Chi Xia: "Are you hungry? I'll order takeout for you."

Tong Yue: "Hungry."

Chi Xia opened the ordering page on her smart bracelet. "What would you like to eat?"

Tong Yue: "Big chicken leg! And another steak rice bowl."

After Chi Xia finished counting, she looked at Tong Yue and observed his condition. "Is there anything else that's bothering you?"

Tong Yue shook her head, "No, I was probably too nervous at the time and didn't notice that Bai Yu's fingernails scratched my scalp."

Chi Xia stood up. "No, let me see."

Tong Yue touched the left side of his head, "Here."

Chi Xia gently parted his hair and saw the extremely tiny scratch that had already healed. Without hesitation, she pressed the call button.

Tong Yue asked, puzzled, "Teacher?"

Chi Xia: "Bai Yu was infected with the mother insect, which has already matured. He has many ways to release larvae, and some larvae cannot be detected by conventional means in their early stages."

Tong Yue frowned. "But I don't feel any other substances in my body."

Chi Xia stroked his head and said softly, "You fainted when you had a fever, so there was a gap in your consciousness. You're not in the best condition right now either. It would be safer to do an S+ parasite test."

Tong Yue nodded, "I'll listen to the teacher."

The attending physician arrived quickly, turned off the call bell, and gave Tong Yue a quick check-up. "The fever has subsided. Is there anything bothering you now?"

Chi Xia explained her request, and the attending physician turned to look at her. "Are you a family member of the patient?"

Chi Xia: "No, I am his homeroom teacher."

The doctor straightened up and looked at Chi Xia calmly. "I'm sorry, ma'am, an S+ parasite test requires the signature of an immediate family member to be performed."

Chi Xia glanced at the other person's name tag. "Can't I do it later?"

Doctor: "No."

Tong Yue: "Can I sign it myself?"

The doctor smiled faintly. "Of course not. If there's nothing else, I'll be going now. You should get some rest."

Before Tong Yue could say anything more, Chi Xia pressed down on his shoulder. The two watched as the doctor left. Chi Xia called Feng Xu and asked him to come and sign the papers. Feng Xu didn't ask any questions and said he would arrive in about 40 minutes.

Tong Yue sat and looked out the window for a while. Seeing that Chi Xia had hung up the call, he asked, "How is Bai Yu?"

Chi Xia: "It's not clear yet, but Teacher Xin went to check and will come over to tell us the situation in a little while."

Before he could finish speaking, there was another knock on the door. The attending physician, who had just left, turned back. "I just applied to the director, and he said I could sign it later. Tong Yue, come with me."

Chi Xia frowned slightly, pressed down on Tong Yue's shoulder as he was about to obediently get up, and looked at the doctor with a firmer attitude, "Please have your director come over."

The doctor frowned, glaring at Chi Xia. "Madam, what do you mean?"

Chi Xia didn't waste any words with him and pressed the call bell again. When the doctor saw this, he quickly walked over and tried to cancel the call bell, but Chi Xia naturally wouldn't let him have his way. She grabbed the doctor's outstretched fingers and twisted his hand behind his back with a little force.

"What are you doing!"

The doctor panicked and tried to turn around to escape, but he ran into Chi Xia, who twisted his wrist with one hand and pressed down on the back of his neck with the other, slamming him against the wall.

"Bang!"

The doctor's shouts caused two bodyguards to break down the door. When they saw what was inside, the two bodyguards were stunned.

Tong Yue: "Teacher, what's wrong with him?"

The implication was that Tong Yue hadn't noticed anything unusual about the doctor. Hearing Tong Yue speak, two bodyguards quickly moved to stand on either side of him.

Chi Xia subdued this kind of clerical staff member with ease. She turned to reassure Tong Yue, "It's not a big problem. The director will know soon enough."

The doctor struggled incessantly, thinking that he, a man, could not possibly be outmatched by a woman. He swung his body violently and kicked backward, only to be kicked to his knees by Chi Xia with one knee bent.

Even so, he still turned his head and shouted in protest, "I'm warning you, let go right now, or I'll sue you for intentional assault!"

Chi Xia completely ignored him, glanced at the two bodyguards, and said, "Tear some bed sheets over here."

The two were stunned by Chi Xia's posture and stared blankly at her. Tong Yue patted them, and the two quickly took action, one protecting Tong Yue and the other pulling the bed sheet away.

When the nurse rushed in, Chi Xia had already tied the doctor to the ground with tattered bed sheet strips and gagged him to stop him from yelling.

Chi Xia looked at the two flustered nurses calmly and said, "Excuse me, please invite your supervisor over."
