Shu Yu glanced outside twice to make sure no one was paying attention before taking two steps into the kitchen.

Lu Sanzhu was so frightened by her behavior that he trembled even more. Was she going to come in and beat him up as soon as no one was around?

Shu Yu lowered her voice and asked, "Haven't you been searching for your fourth uncle these past few days? Any news?"

Lu Sanzhu was taken aback, then breathed a sigh of relief; so that's what he was asking.

He shook his head, knowing that Shu Yu didn't want the old lady to worry, which was why she spoke to him alone.

So he lowered his voice and replied, "There's no trace of it. I've searched all the nearby villages. My older brother even took Da Niu to search in the mountains, but there was nothing. The Yuan family has been searching for so many days, they're almost ready to give up."

After all, everyone has to make a living. Who has that much time to find a perfectly healthy man?

Yuan Shanchuan has been missing for so long, if something had happened to him, it would have happened long ago. Finding him is useless.

If nothing's wrong, he'll be back sooner or later.
