By evening, Lu Erbai and Lu Sanzhu had both returned and naturally heard about Lu Sixing's situation.

Lu Sanzhu was originally going to complain about being tired, hungry, and having sore feet on his first day of work. He took this opportunity to borrow his second brother's mule cart so that he wouldn't have to walk to the peach blossom forest the next day.

The old lady reached out and patted him, saying, "They've given you this opportunity, so you should cherish it and not be ungrateful. If you don't want to do it, give it to them; there are plenty of people who would like to do it."

Lu Sanzhu knew his mother was in a bad mood today and didn't dare to provoke her. He lowered his head and said softly, "I didn't say I wouldn't do it. I was just complaining a bit."

"It's one thing for you to complain in front of us, but you'd better shut your mouth and say things you shouldn't say outside. If you have work to do, do it properly and don't do anything illegal or criminal, understand?"

The old lady was also frightened by Yuan Shanchuan's actions; one person's mistake could implicate his wife, children, and elderly parents.

It's only because they have Ayu in their family that they don't know what the consequences would have been.
