Jiu Nanxun didn't want to sleep, but perhaps because the journey was too stuffy, she kept tilting her head to look out the window and fell asleep without realizing it.

When she woke up again, it was already dark.

The car was parked in the villa's garage, facing the view outside. Under the streetlights, the snow-covered tree-lined road was beautiful.

However, this was not a place she was familiar with at all!

She looked at Jiang Shaoze and found that he was also lightly asleep, facing her direction.

The car window was slightly open, and the heater had been on inside, but both of them were asleep. This was outrageous! The worst part was that even though Jiang Shaoze was back, he didn't wake her up!

Jiu Nanxun nudged him, "Jiang Shaoze, get out of the car."

But Jiang Shaoze didn't move.

Jiu Nanxun frowned and nudged him again, "Jiang Shaoze, I brought you back, don't linger in my car!"

This time, Jiang Shaoze moved. He grabbed Jiu Nanxun's hand tightly, but didn't open his eyes. "Xiao Xun."

Jiu Nanxun tensed up. She tried to pull her hand away, but to no avail! Jiang Shaoze held her like a pair of pliers.

It took a lot of effort to get his hand out. Jiu Nanxun got out of the car, walked around the front of the car, opened the driver's side door, and pulled Jiang Shaoze out.

He seemed to be awake.

However, the tall, thin man had just stood up when he collapsed onto her shoulder! Jiu Nanxun was involuntarily pushed back several steps!

"Jiang Shaoze, stop playing these little tricks. When will this end?" Jiu Nanxun said angrily.

But Jiang Shaoze held her tightly in his arms, saying, "Xiao Xun, don't go, stay with me."

Jiu Nanxun struggled desperately, and Jiang Shaoze's voice was pitifully hoarse. He had deceived her countless times by taking advantage of his good looks!

Jiu Nanxun looked at the villa behind her and trembled all over. She reached for her phone again, wanting to call Maomao, but it seemed that her phone was in the car!

Jiu Nanxun then pushed Jiang Shaoze.

Unable to break free, she seemed to have fallen into some kind of uncontrollable fear again.

"Jiang Shaoze, my sister will kill you! If you dare to keep me here, my sister will find me very soon!" Jiu Nanxun's voice, though trying to remain calm, was actually full of panic.

Jiang Shaoze turned his head, and his face suddenly buried itself in Jiu Nanxun's neck. He said in a dry voice, "Xiao Xun, I won't hurt you anymore, really."

He emphasized again, saying, "This time it's for real."

Suddenly, Kunan Xun unleashed a strange strength and pushed him away!

Jiang Shaoze was pushed to sit on the ground, leaning against the car tire, his face turned to the side, looking lifeless.

Kunan Kaoru quickly took several steps back, leaned against the wall, and it took her a while to calm down.

She walked over, dragged Jiang Shaoze aside, quickly got into the car, started the engine, and drove out of the garage.

The series of actions were completed in one smooth motion. In her rearview mirror, Jiang Shaoze sat still in the same spot, motionless.

Just as they were about to leave, Jiu Nanxun frowned deeply, cursed, and quickly reversed back!

After she got out of the car, she kicked Jiang Shaoze and said, "Don't play dead! I won't fall for it."

Jiang Shaoze, however, did not react.

Jiu Nanxun kicked him again, and Jiang Shaoze unconsciously hummed, but only called out "Xiao Xun".

After struggling for a while, Jiu Nanxun managed to pull Jiang Shaoze up and help him into the villa.

The villa had fingerprint locks both inside and out. After entering, all the lights in the villa turned on at once, and Jiu Nanxun threw Jiang Shaoze onto the sofa.

She quickly unbuttoned Jiang Shaoze's suit jacket and shirt, revealing several layers of bandage wrapped around his body, now a bloody mess.

When Jiang Shaoze leaned against her just now, she had already noticed that he had a high fever. Jiu Nanxun didn't want to care about him, but she couldn't help herself!

Sure enough, he was injured.

Jiu Nanxun searched in the living room and easily found the gauze and medicine. It seemed that Jiang Shaoze always kept things this way.

She simply took off all his shirt and cut off the gauze on his body. Facing the hideous wound, Jiu Nanxun seemed to have seen it many times before and was not panicked.

He skillfully treated his inflammation, applied medication, and bandaged his wound.

Then I took a blanket and covered him with it.

After doing all that, Kunan looked at him, then turned to leave.

However, Jiang Shaoze, who had been pretending to be dead, suddenly grabbed her, "Xiao Xun, don't go."

Jiu Nanxun grew impatient. "Jiang Shaoze, I bandaged you up out of pity. Maybe next time, I won't even pity you."

Jiang Shaoze opened his eyes, looking at Jiu Nanxun with a hurt expression. "Xiao Xun, then tell me, what will it take for you to forgive me?"

Jiu Nanxun said, "Jiang Shaoze, you're tired of saying this, but I'm tired of hearing it. I forgave you a long time ago, but it's over between us! Can you please stop bothering me?"

Jiang Shaoze exclaimed excitedly, "Impossible! Xiao Xun, I can never get over it."

Jiu Nanxun turned around and looked at Jiang Shaoze. This was the first time she had faced him so calmly since returning to the country.

"Jiang Shaoze, it's your problem if you can't get through this, it has nothing to do with me. I'm not afraid of you anymore, because as long as I disappear, my sister will definitely find me. This isn't Country A anymore, you can't control everything anymore. You like to act, then keep acting. I'm out of here."

Jiang Shaoze held onto Jiu Nanxun tightly, but it felt like he was holding a handful of sand. Despite his best efforts, the sand still slipped away uncontrollably.

Jiang Shaoze felt an unprecedented sense of helplessness deep inside.

But Kunan Kaoru smiled.

"Jiang Shaoze, you can no longer control me."

After saying that, Kunan Kaoru withdrew her hand, and in that instant, she finally felt a sense of liberation.

When she hurriedly fled back, she was almost caught by a group of thugs. She felt like dying, but someone saved her!

Just like the countless times she had imagined, one of them finally came true. She really defeated everyone and rescued her from the clutches of evil.

And she is her older sister!

Her sister once said that if she was afraid of someone, she shouldn't run away from him, but face him directly. The shadow he cast on her would eventually have to be erased by herself.

Kunan Kaoru finally felt that she had the courage to do these things.

"Xiao Xun." Jiang Shaoze's face was pale and ashen.

By the time he realized he had made a mistake, his Xiao Xun had already given up on him.

Jiang Shaoze still had a fever, but Jiu Nanxun had already given him fever-reducing medicine. He didn't try to gain her pity by pretending to be injured like before. He put on his coat and buttoned it up.

The bandages under his suit gave him a more rugged look.

"Xiao Xun, I brought you here so you could see your piano. I bought it for you, it's a few days late. Happy New Year."
