【1v1, Doted On, Fiery! Awesome! Sweet!】
Second Master Jin indulges in worldly pleasures, his life motto being simply to have fun. When a certain cat lunges at him, he lightly dodges, "...
Song Sifan raised an eyebrow, not paying attention to Maomao's tone. He followed Maomao's gaze and saw the director on the awards stage giving his acceptance speech. His film had won the Best Short Film Award and the Best Makeup Award.
He was a new director, but he was very successful.
However, Song Sifan clearly sensed that the cat's gaze towards him even carried a hint of murderous intent.
"Did he offend you?" Song Sifan asked.
Cat turned to Tan Zheng and said, "Why is he at the film festival?"
Tan Zheng's expression also turned serious. "I don't know."
After being ignored twice, Song Sifan was unhappy and said directly, "Cat Cat, why don't you ask me? I know more about some things than Tan Zheng does."
Cat then looked at Song Sifan and said, "Since you know, can't you just say it? Why do you have to wait for me to ask?"
Song Sifan was taken aback; he probably had never seen someone so self-righteous when asking for a favor.
"Wait a moment," Song Sifan said to Maomao, then made a phone call, seemingly to have someone investigate this person.
He quickly received the answer. After hanging up the phone, he told Maomao, "This short film was originally shot by someone else, but he impersonated me."
Cat was still looking at that person, who had already walked down from the stage and sat in his seat. Just then, he seemed to notice something, suddenly turned around, and smiled at Cat—a smug and annoying smile!
“His name is Pei Wu, and he has some connections,” Song Sifan added.
The cat snorted and gave Pei Wu the middle finger.
She truly hadn't expected that Pei Wu would actually infiltrate the director's circle!
Impersonation is commonplace. Winning an award at a major film festival is like gilding one's resume, instantly making one more sought-after.
I have no idea what Pei Wu is up to.
Seeing the cat's behavior, Song Sifan found it amusing. "Do you have a grudge against him?"
Cat glanced at Song Sifan. They weren't exactly enemies, but they both wanted to kill each other. "I hate him."
Song Sifan smiled contentedly, as if he had thought of something. "Kitty, soon you'll hate him even more."
The cat narrowed its eyes. "What did you say?"
Song Sifan shook her head. "I won't say anything. It's better for you to discover some things yourself. Otherwise, if I say too much, you'll start to hate me."
Another hour passed before the awards ceremony ended. "The Earl of the Empire" won the award, and the director was very happy. He took the others to celebrate.
Cat didn't go, but Tan Zheng, being a male actor, had to go.
After the event ended, the cat took the initiative to walk towards Pei Wu.
Song Sifan went with her.
"You're so brave! How dare you show up here? Shouldn't mice hide in their holes?" the cat asked him with a smile.
Despite the possibility of being photographed by reporters at any moment, Pei Wu smiled nonchalantly, but his words were full of disdain: "Even if you don't like me, you can't kill me, Jiu Maomao. I came prepared. I will never fall for someone twice."
The cat gave a soft hum, "Then I'll be waiting for you."
After saying that, she turned and left.
Pei Wu straightened his suit and nodded to Song Sifan, "President Song, I've long admired your name. I hope we'll have the opportunity to work together in the future."
Song Sifan smiled. "Cooperation is fine, but not targeting my people."
Pei Wu pretended not to understand and said, "Mr. Song, have you misunderstood something? I did have a little disagreement with Jiu Maomao, but I was just teasing her and I wouldn't really do anything."
"That would be best," Song Sifan said, and then went to chase after the cat.
Cat was puzzled. Today was really strange. She had encountered two annoying mice in a row, but she couldn't do anything in public.
She walked out of the venue and waited for a while but still didn't see Mu Jin.
A car suddenly stopped in front of her, the window rolled down, and Song Sifan looked at her: "Get in, I'll give you a ride."
The cat shook its head. "I'm waiting for someone."
Song Sifan: "Are we waiting for Mu Jin? Maybe he's busy."
"Then I'll wait too."
Song Sifan paused for a moment. He really couldn't bear to leave her alone in the sea breeze. Unfortunately, Maomao wouldn't get in his car.
"Okay, I'll go first. If you want to find me, come to my club, or you can come and have fun if you want."
Cat didn't say anything; she wasn't going to that club.
A while later, she saw Kang Jiao linking arms with a fat man, while the man had his arm around her waist, and they got into the same car as if they were inseparable.
After watching the car drive away, the cat calmly withdrew its gaze.
Suddenly, a cool-looking motorcycle stopped in front of the cat. The rider took off his helmet and held out his hand to her, saying, "Come here."
The cat immediately put its hand over, "Ah Jin."
Mu Jin glanced at her. "I ran into someone earlier, which delayed me a little. Were you getting impatient?"
Cat shook her head. She looked at the motorcycle, then at her skirt. "Ah Jin, I can't ride it."
Mu Jin took off her coat and handed it to the cat, saying, "Put this on."
After Maomao put it on, he put the helmet on her, reached out and lifted her up by the waist, placing her in front of him. She was sitting upright, so there was no need to worry about her skirt being exposed.
"Hehe." The cat chuckled and hugged Mu Jin's waist.
It's only early summer, the sun isn't too strong, and the breeze is just right. Riding a motorcycle along the beach is very pleasant.
Cat was wearing Mu Jin's jacket, while Mu Jin was only wearing a T-shirt. The wind blew freely into his clothes, and Cat hugged him tighter, trying to shield him from the wind.
