"You are a member of the Ghost Clan! Who are you?" Wang Xiaoxia immediately asked warily.
"Bad People"
What constitutes "bad"?
"If the husband is not good, the people of the country know it; if the husband is not good, we will sing a song to tell them."
After speaking, the Bad Guy smiled faintly, but his eyes grew colder and colder, as if he had suddenly fallen into some kind of memory, wanting to sever ties with it yet unable to stop staring at it.
Wang Xiaoxia remained skeptical, while the Bad Guy glanced at her and smiled indifferently.
“You don’t need to be afraid, I also have a grudge against him,” the bad guy said, raising his face slightly towards the window.
Wang Xiaoxia immediately knew that the "he" he was referring to was the one who now held a high position.
She had no idea who this scoundrel was, and she hadn't asked Wang Yue about him before leaving. She thought he was just an ordinary servant, but she never expected him to be a ghost.
"What grudge do you hold?" Wang Xiaoxia pressed, his gaze icy as if he were interrogating a criminal.
"The hatred for killing my father," the Bad Guy said bluntly, turning around to look at her with a determined gaze.
Wang Xiaoxia looked at him, and his appearance certainly didn't seem like he was lying.
"And how do you know me?" Wang Xiaoxia continued to question.
"I've seen you dance. Despite Wang Yuehua's nearly 100 years of training, you haven't improved at all. You still dance like a zombie," the Bad Guys said with a sneer to Wang Xiaoxia.
His smile brought a burst of vitality to his face, as if he had suddenly crawled out of a pile of corpses and come back to life.
"Perhaps they already had some doubts about your background back then!" the Bad Guy said calmly.
"You weren't affected by my hallucinogenic drug?" Wang Xiaoxia said in disbelief.
“Your medicine has no effect on me,” the man said, his smile fading. He then looked out the window as if recalling something from the past.
"Why?" Wang Xiaoxia pressed on, refusing to back down.
How could the medicine she spent a hundred years researching be ineffective?
“I’m different from others,” the Bad Guy said, frowning, not wanting to dwell on the matter any longer.
"How are they different?" Wang Xiaoxia still clung to the question.
The bad guy turned around helplessly, but his gaze met Wang Xiaoxia's burning eyes. He was startled, not knowing when she had walked up to him and was carefully examining him.
The probing gaze made the Bad Guy feel that he was less like a person and more like a rare object in Wang Xiaoxia's eyes, worthy of her scrutiny. He felt both annoyed and amused, and finally could only sigh.
"I was tortured in poison for years, so ordinary medicine has no effect on me," the Bad Guys had no choice but to explain to Wang Xiaoxia.
Wang Xiaoxia remains steadfast in her belief that "phantom drugs are not poisons."
“I have not only endured poison,” the Bad Guy said in a low voice, looking intently at Wang Xiaoxia with his eyes lowered.
He had been in Wangyue Pavilion for many years but had never made any deep friendships with anyone. He had seen many different kinds of passersby and was quite tired of them, but the eyes in front of him were incredibly clear, and even somewhat beautiful.
"Besides you, does anyone else know about me? Does Wang Yue know?" Wang Xiaoxia lowered her gaze and continued to ask.
"Besides me, only Wang Yue knows," the Bad Guy said calmly.
He looked into Wang Xiaoxia's eyes and smiled faintly. Being inexperienced in the ways of the world, his emotions were still written all over his face.
"Oh," Wang Xiaoxia responded. She didn't know what to say, but she was still relieved that no one else knew about her background except for them.
It was that dark night again, the stench of blood everywhere was nauseating. She stood there expressionless, like a cold statue. Her blood-red wedding dress made her face look as white as snow. A few drops of blood slowly slid down her pale cheeks, then down her neck and mingled with the wedding dress, but not a single drop of blood was hers.
The ground was littered with corpses lying in pools of blood, the ground still soft and yielding underfoot. Her shoes had been lost sometime earlier. Barefoot, she held a sword, her eyes vacant as she stared at the woman before her. The sharp edge of the sword was reflected on the woman's face. The woman knelt on the ground, her recently deceased husband lying beside her.
The woman, with tears in her eyes, showed no intention of resisting, but softly called out, "Xiaoxia."
She gave no response, stiffly raising the sword in her hand. A cold light flashed, and countless drops of blood gushed out, splashing into her eyes. Two lines of bloody tears rolled down her pale skin, and the woman fell.
"Hiss~" Wang Xiaoxia gasped and woke up from her dream with a shiver.
Like someone who can't swim falling into a bottomless abyss and being pulled out of there, she suddenly sat up, her chest heaving violently. She felt as if all the blood in her body had frozen, her whole body stiff and numb with cold.
"Did you dream?" The Bad Guy jumped down from the window and walked to Wang Xiaoxia's side, asking softly.
"Hmm," Wang Xiaoxia responded, moving her fingers and feeling her body gradually regain some sensation.
"Wipe it off!" said the bad guy, handing him a handkerchief.
Wang Xiaoxia immediately realized what was happening, reached out and took the handkerchief to wipe her eyes. A faint fragrance wafted from the handkerchief; it was the scent of Wangyue Pavilion.
A clean white handkerchief was immediately stained with two red blushes.
"I'm sorry, I'll return the handkerchief to you another time!" Wang Xiaoxia said apologetically, giving a wry smile at the two red blushes on the handkerchief.
"It's just a handkerchief. I'll give it to you if you like it," the man said casually, then turned and walked towards the window.
Wang Xiaoxia didn't speak, staring blankly at the unidentified little red flower on the handkerchief, a flower she seemed to have seen somewhere before.
"You really like windows, huh?" Wang Xiaoxia teased, seeing that the rogue was still guarding the window.
"If I were to lie on the bed with you, a man and a woman alone in a room, would you be willing?" The rogue turned his head and looked down at Wang Xiaoxia with a wicked smile on his face. He looked extremely handsome in the night, which made his deep voice sound even more pleasant. If only he could say a few nice words.
"Go sit by your window!" Wang Xiaoxia glared at him and said indifferently. Really, why does a perfectly normal person have to grow a mouth!
Night fell on the bedside, and the shadow of the scoundrel completely blocked Wang Xiaoxia's view. She curled up in the small, dark space, too afraid to fall asleep.
The dawn in the ghost realm is only slightly brighter than the night, but even this little light is enough to see.
When Wang Xiaoxia put on her straw sandals, she suddenly remembered that two blood-red footprints on the bed had already blended deeply into the gray sheets, turning a dark red color. Wang Xiaoxia sighed, not knowing what to do.
When the Bad Guy saw Wang Xiaoxia in a daze, he walked over and immediately saw the two blood-red footprints. He reached out and touched them, but the footprints disappeared into thin air.
However, the bloody smell wouldn't dissipate, but that didn't matter; the Ghost Realm was, after all, a place filled with the stench of blood.
"You actually know magic!" Wang Xiaoxia exclaimed in surprise.
"You're the only one in the entire Forgot Moon Pavilion who doesn't know how," the Bad Guy said indifferently, glancing at Wang Xiaoxia out of the corner of his eye.
"Even the adopted cats know a little bit of magic," the Bad Guy added.
Wang Xiaoxia had no rebuttal. He angrily flicked his sleeve, and a breeze blew from his sleeve onto the face of the bad guy, mingling with his breath.
The scoundrel took a step back alertly, but it was too late; a blush spread across his cheeks.
"What drug did you give me?" the rogue demanded, covering his mouth and nose.
"Aphrodisiac," Wang Xiaoxia said, unable to hide his smugness.
It seems that even this person who can be described as a walking pharmacy is afraid of aphrodisiacs!
"You!" The scoundrel glared at Wang Xiaoxia angrily, trying to control his breathing.
He closed his eyes and held his breath, trying to use his magic to drive away the drug's effects. However, the harder he tried, the stronger the drug became, and in an instant, his entire face turned red.
Wang Xiaoxia smiled with delight at his appearance, watching with great interest as he tried his best to control himself. She walked to his side and gently brushed her soft fingers across his cheek, causing his taut face to tremble even more urgently, and his breathing to become rapid.
"So even someone like you is afraid of aphrodisiacs!" Wang Xiaoxia whispered softly in the Bad Guy's ear.
A gentle breeze made the hairs around his ears tremble slightly, like a pot of intoxicating wine poured into his heart, making his whole body feel numb and tingly.
He suddenly opened his eyes, and uncontrollably reached out to pull Wang Xiaoxia tightly into his arms. With a slight effort, he lifted her onto the bed and forcefully pressed himself onto her body, his breathing becoming increasingly rapid.
Wang Xiaoxia smiled calmly, reached out and stroked the cheek of the Bad Guy. A cool sensation immediately came from his nose, extinguishing the heat in his heart. The Bad Guy lowered his head and slammed it heavily on the bed board. Soon his whole body relaxed and his thoughts calmed down.
"Get up!" Wang Xiaoxia patted the bad guy's back twice and said apologetically in a soft voice.
The man immediately stood up, glared at Wang Xiaoxia with some resentment, and turned away, feeling mocked, refusing to look at her again.
“If this medicine works for you, it will work for others too,” Wang Xiaoxia said calmly as she sat up.
Over the years, she had considered many ways to take revenge. Since she had no magic power, she could not rely on brute force to win. Fortunately, her father was a doctor who had studied pharmacology since childhood and had some understanding of medicine. However, since the other party was a ghost, she could not guarantee what effect mortal poisons would have on ghosts. After thinking it over, she could only think of aphrodisiacs.
Through countless practices at Wangyue Pavilion, she discovered that enough aphrodisiacs could render a person unable to resist in an instant, and moreover, it was not a poison and was therefore difficult to detect.
"It's too dangerous for you," the rogue said without turning his head, still not fully recovered from the commotion.
“I have other medicines, I have no other choice. I don’t know any magic, so I can only use this kind of despicable method,” Wang Xiaoxia said with some bitterness.
The man looked back at her, his expression a mix of pity, sympathy, and perhaps more understanding. He sighed softly.
