Ao patted Muhe's hand gently and patiently said in a soft voice:

"He'er, she is your mother, and she is pregnant with your younger brother and sister. But thanks to you bringing back the Mermaid Pearl, she is now safe and sound."

Mu He let go, but the image of the enchantress embracing Cui Heng was still vivid in her mind, so clear. Was this a dream? If it was a dream, why did it feel so real?

"Father, has she been in the palace these past two days? Have you gone to see her in person?" Muhe looked up and asked again.

Her question startled Aohen. Where else could someone who was seriously injured and unconscious go if not in the palace?

"She's been sleeping in her bedchamber. I've checked on her a few times. What's wrong?" Aohen asked, puzzled, as if Muhe hadn't fully woken up yet.

Mu He's gaze dimmed once again. Was she really dreaming? But she increasingly felt that it all really happened, and that the child in the demoness's womb was actually her brother's?

"He'er, your injuries haven't healed yet, you should rest more. I'll head back now," Aohen said, trying to comfort her since she was not in a good mood.

"Okay," Mu He replied blankly, but her mind was on her brother.

After leaving Muhe's place, Aohen went to Wang Xiaoxia's residence. She was still lying in bed when he entered the room. Just as she was about to get up, she suddenly went limp and almost fell to the ground. Aohen was so frightened that he rushed over and helped her up.

"Lian'er! Are you alright?" He looked around at Wang Xiaoxia and asked anxiously.

"I am fine, but has the princess woken up yet?" Wang Xiaoxia still spoke in a gentle and considerate manner, though she was slightly out of breath, as if she had exhausted herself again just now.

Wang Xiaoxia's thoughtfulness contrasted sharply with Mu He's willfulness. Aohen sat by the bed, pulling Wang Xiaoxia into his arms and sighing:

"If Muhe were half as sensible as you, that would be wonderful. She's awake and perfectly fine."

Wang Xiaoxia nestled weakly in Aohen's arms and said gently:

"That's because the princess has a husband who loves and cherishes her, so naturally she can live a carefree and willful life. I lost both my parents at a young age and don't have the same good fortune as the princess."

Hearing her say that, Aohen felt a pang of heartache again. He lowered his head and kissed her hair. A faint scent of grass wafted into his nostrils, and he couldn't help but murmur, "Lian'er always smells so good."

Wang Xiaoxia nestled obediently in his arms like a kitten. He lowered his head, a smile on his face, and said to her again:

"Our children will be even more blessed in the future."

Wang Xiaoxia lowered her head shyly and smiled faintly:

"I dare not ask for anything, I only hope that the child in my womb can be born safely. However, I suddenly remembered that Princess Muhe has been married for so long, how come she and her husband still do not have children? Does the princess not like children?"

As Wang Xiaoxia spoke, a look of worry appeared on her face again. Aohen was reminded of this and suddenly realized the same thing. Yes! They had been married for more than a year and were together almost every day. How come they still didn't have a child?

He had never thought about this before, but now that he thought about it carefully, he realized that Cang Ze had never done anything beneficial to the demon realm. All he had been doing was strengthening his ghost clan.

He only snapped out of his daze when Wang Xiaoxia coughed softly in his arms, and lowered his head with a faint smile, revealing no emotion:

"Lian'er, you must be cold! You should rest early, I'll come see you again tomorrow."

As he spoke, he gently placed Wang Xiaoxia back on the bed and thoughtfully covered her with the blankets.

Wang Xiaoxia obediently lay on the bed and only replied:

"Husband, please rest early and don't overwork yourself."

"Okay," Aohen replied gently, then turned and walked out.

Wang Xiaoxia's expression suddenly turned extremely cold as she watched his retreating figure.

In the darkness, a gentle breeze caressed Ao's fierce and cold face. He turned back and whispered something to the servant guarding the door, who then leaped away and disappeared into the night.

Wang Xiaoxia waited until Aohen left before getting up and heading to Cui Heng's residence. When she left, she deliberately passed by Mu He's room. Mu He was sitting on the bed with half of her face blocked by Cang Ze. Wang Xiaoxia paused for a moment before turning and leaving.

Cui Heng's room was in the most remote part of the Demon King's Palace, where few palace servants moved about. His room was also dark and unlit. She gently pushed open the window, lightly jumped in through the window, and quietly walked to Cui Heng's bedside.

"Why are you so late today?" Cui Heng asked her with a smile, though his eyes were closed.

In the darkness, his face was as white as a baby's, and his long eyelashes trembled slightly, making him look both handsome and adorable.

"How did you know I would come?" Wang Xiaoxia asked innocently, sitting down habitually on the edge of his bed.

“You don’t like spending the night in your room, so I knew you would come when I got back,” Cui Heng said with a smug look on his face as he opened his eyes.

After he finished speaking, he gently moved his body to make room for Wang Xiaoxia. Wang Xiaoxia obediently lay down on the bed, rested her head on his arm, and looked at him with a smile.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Cui Heng turned his head and asked gently.

"Do you think the child in your womb looks more like you or more like me?" Wang Xiaoxia couldn't help but ask.

Cui Heng smiled gently, lightly stroking Wang Xiaoxia's face, and said softly:

"They're all good-looking, they look good no matter who they resemble."

This was the first time he had acknowledged that Wang Xiaoxia was beautiful, which made her laugh happily. She leaned in and kissed him.

Cui Heng got up and returned the kiss, pressing her down beneath him and examining her closely. Suddenly, a wicked smile appeared on his face as he said:

"You're already a mother, why are you still in such a hurry?"

A blush suddenly appeared on Wang Xiaoxia's fair face, and she lowered her eyes shyly, saying:

"Cui Heng, I love you."

These words were like an aphrodisiac, causing Cui Heng's heart to flutter with desire. This was the first time she had admitted that she loved him. He looked down into her eyes, which shyly darted away. He couldn't help but lean down and kiss her.

Wang Xiaoxia raised his hand and tightly embraced that huge body. Warm breath spread between the beds. He sucked hard on her soft lips, desperately giving her all his passion and warming her.

Muhe saw a figure drift by in the room. The figure looked exactly like that demoness. A bad feeling made her feel uneasy. She was about to get up to chase after her, but Cangze blocked her. After finally persuading Cangze to leave, she hurriedly rushed to Cui Heng's room.

She hesitated for a moment outside the door. It was late at night, and all around was quiet. She put her ear to listen to the sounds coming from inside the room and heard a low moaning sound. She blushed with embarrassment. How could her brother, who lived alone in the room, make such a sound? She listened again in disbelief. The sound stopped, but then she heard the voice of the demoness.

Enraged, she flung the door open and stormed in, only to find Cui Heng and Wang Xiaoxia entwined on the bed, naked.

Cui Heng was deeply moved when someone suddenly burst in. He quickly got up and covered Wang Xiaoxia with the blanket, then rolled out of bed and was dressed in an instant. He stepped forward to stand in front of Mu He.

For a moment, Muhe was in a daze, as if she saw a green light in her brother's eyes, but that light disappeared in the blink of an eye.

Mu He reached out and summoned her longsword, pointing it at the bed as she roared, "Witch! Let's see how long you can hide!"

As Mu He spoke, she raised her sword to slash, but Cui Heng grabbed her wrist and stopped her, coldly rebuking her in a low voice:

"Muhe! What are you doing!"

Cui Heng had never spoken to her so harshly before, and Mu He couldn't help but feel sad.

"Brother! You too have been bewitched by this demoness! Today I will kill her!" Muhe said, tears welling in her eyes, her anger barely contained.

Her face flushed with anger, her heart pounded wildly, causing a sharp, throbbing pain in her wounds. But she paid no heed to the pain, her only thought being to kill the vixen on the bed.

Seeing this, Cui Heng snatched the sword from her hand and pulled her into his arms.

Seeing the two of them fighting, Wang Xiaoxia calmly sat up from the bed, picked up her clothes, turned around, put them on, walked up to Mu He, and slapped Mu He across the face.

"This is the blow I took for you, and I'm returning it to you today," Wang Xiaoxia said with a sneer.

Mu He was stunned by the blow, then glared angrily at Wang Xiaoxia, but was unable to hit her because Cui Heng stopped her. She was so angry that she was about to jump up like a mad dog.

"Let's go!" Cui Heng frowned and said to Wang Xiaoxia when he saw Mu He was so angry.

Wang Xiaoxia walked to Mu He's side and whispered in her ear:

"You know what? I deliberately caught that fish of yours."

After she finished speaking, she looked at Mu He with a smug smile. Mu He was so angry that she gritted her teeth and glared at her. She struggled to fight back, but she couldn't move her body. She could only watch helplessly as Wang Xiaoxia swaggered out of the room.

Cui Heng didn't know why Wang Xiaoxia deliberately provoked Mu He, but he couldn't let Mu He hit her.

Muhe felt a tightness in her chest, and then spat out a mouthful of blood. She lost all strength and collapsed. Cui Heng quickly released her and laid her flat on the ground. He placed his hand on her chest and transferred his spiritual energy to her.

It took Mu He a while to recover. She raised her hand and grabbed Cui Heng's arm, struggling to lift her head. Blood was still flowing from the corner of her mouth as she asked breathlessly:

"Brother, have you fallen for that vixen? Have you developed feelings for her?"

After Muhe finished speaking, she stared at him blankly, the sadness in her heart causing her more pain than the injury itself.

"Muhe, you've misjudged," Cui Heng said indifferently.

Mu He finally gave up, her head falling heavily back to the ground. She looked at Cui Heng with eyes full of heartbreaking despair.

"Brother, do you know? I have always loved you," Muhe said softly after a long while.
