Chapter 243 Xiangyang Ballet

The bus was empty, and there was a seat available for her. As Nari sat down, the bus started swaying slowly, and the announcements began to ring. She began to feel drowsy.

After about a 20-minute ride, she heard the voice "Annan Road Station has arrived" in a daze. She suddenly woke up, got up from her seat and pressed the get-off call button.

The bus emitted hot air and the back door slowly opened. Nari got off the bus with her bag on her back and found that the bus stop was right at the entrance of her community.

After returning to her little house safely, Nari glanced at the new message on her phone. It was still sent by Yang Meimei. It was the QR code for her performance ticket and the news that her registration for the experience was successful.

Nari replied to the other person with a happy spinning emoji, then found a bowl of curry rice in the kitchen cabinet, heated it up in the microwave, and ate it.

The night passed quietly and peacefully. When the alarm clock woke Nari up the next day, she felt refreshed and as if her skin had relaxed.

She and Yang Meimei had agreed to meet in front of the fountain in Deding Square at 8 o'clock last night, so Nari got up at 6:30, but for some reason, it was already 7:30 when they set off!

She hurried to the entrance, changed her shoes, and before she could even stand up straight, she stretched out her hand to open the door. She twisted her body and swung the bag on her shoulder onto a ballet figurine music box placed in the entrance.

With a snap, the music box did not fall over, but the ballerina on it fell to the ground and broke into several pieces.

"Oh my God!" She cried out in pain, and quickly pulled a piece of paper from the shelf to pick up the fragments and put them on it, and would deal with them when she got home!

Yang Meimei arrived earlier than her. Nari could see her from afar. She was wearing a lake blue dress, her skin glowing white in the natural light. When she saw Nari, she raised her hand high and said, "Here! Hurry up!"

Nari hurriedly trotted over to her, and then she pulled her arm and hurried to the intersection outside the square: "Hurry, the next bus is about to arrive." On the lit screen of the mobile phone, there was the bus's schedule tracking system.

There are quite a few people on the bus today, and it’s obviously not rush hour yet... Nari thought while holding the handrail.

"It seems that many people are going to see a ballet performance." Yang Feiyu leaned close to Nali's ear and said. Nali then noticed that the passengers were indeed not dressed like they were going to work, and their clothes were particularly exquisite.

Sure enough, until there was only one stop left, which was for the ballet performance venue, most of the people were still on the bus.

"We've arrived at the final stop, Huijiang Road Intersection Station." The female voice of the bus announced on time. Yang Feiyu pulled Nali off the bus, then quickly stopped a taxi. The two of them quickly distanced themselves from the others.

The drive from the platform to the performance venue took about twenty minutes. Nari watched the scenery passing by quickly outside the window and heard a lively tune coming from her ears.

"Hmm?" Yang Feiyu hummed in confusion, then said, "Dance of the Four Little Swans?"

The driver in front laughed and said, "Yes, it's a classic from the classic ballet repertoire. This troupe is performing here recently, and the drivers nearby should also get some cultural exposure."

Nari seemed to have noticed something and turned her attention back. Because of the conversation between Yang Feiyu and her master, the play also appeared in her mind, and she blurted out: "No one can dislike Swan Lake."

"I agree!" Yang Feiyu stretched out a hand and high-fived her in the air.

The atmosphere in the car was good, and they arrived at the performance venue accompanied by dance music.

A huge ancient Greek-style building with exquisite reliefs above it that vividly depict angels blessing the world, with small wings, round cheeks, and innocent smiles.

White doves and olive branches are carved on the pillars, and pottery jars, flowing water, and flowers bring vitality to the place, as if this is not a cold building, but a warm and welcoming habitat left by the Virgin Mary for her children.

The elegantly dressed staff checked everyone's ticket or QR code, and then they entered the hotbed.

Central air conditioning keeps the entire building cool. As you enter the door, you can see poster frames on both sides of the wall, which are all famous works of the ballet troupe.

Everything in the room was in a light golden hue, and the lighting seemed to be specially designed, giving people the illusion that they were on a stage.

As we walked inside, we began to see portraits of famous ballet dancers on posters on both sides, including the troupe's leaders, famous teachers, and the principal dancers from the past to the current one...

"Liao Xiaoe." Nari looked at the poster of the current troupe's principal dancer and softly pronounced her name. "It sounds like she's good at ballet."

"Pfft, you're the center of attention." Yang Feiyu gently pushed her shoulder and looked at the person in the poster: "She's so beautiful."

She is very beautiful, Nari thought, with bright eyes and fair skin, but not thin. Instead, she presents a powerful and gentle beauty. The two contradictory qualities blend well in her.

The posture of tilting her head in the poster perfectly shows her well-defined facial features and cheeks. As Nari looked at her, she felt that she looked a bit like a white swan waiting to be slaughtered.

The broadcast gently reminded the audience who had not yet entered the venue to do so, so Nali and Yang Feiyu did not delay any further and hurried in.

Yang Feiyu's hands were very fast and she got them a seat in the middle of the sixth row. This viewing angle was just right, as it wouldn't be too sore from tilting the head back, nor would it be too painful from stretching the head.

By the time most of the audience had arrived, it was already 8:55, with only five minutes left before the performance began.
