A beautiful and wealthy woman from the 21st century becomes a handsome young educated youth in the 1970s. Framed by her hypocritical best friend and sent to the countryside, she relies on her golde...
Hao Caiyun smiled smugly.
"Hey! Your mom is always very reliable! Sister Shi and I are both decisive people, and we like to get things done first!"
Zhuang Zhimeng nodded vigorously.
"You're right, you're very reliable! You and your aunt are wonderful!"
Hao Caiyun asked her again.
"How's the meat preparation going, Xiao An and you? I heard from Sister Shi that you prepared a whole pig?"
Zhuang Zhimeng smiled mysteriously.
"Hehe, anyway, there's plenty of pork, and we also have chicken now. We've discussed having Brother Qingbai go and catch some ducks and fish a couple of days before the engagement banquet, so we've arranged for this amount of meat!"
Hao Caiyun patted Zhuang Zhimeng's hand.
"Did you buy that prepared meat on the black market? You two are incredibly audacious!"
Zhuang Zhimeng explained to Hao Caiyun.
"Mom, don't worry, Qingbai and I have connections, it's not the black market, it's very safe, there won't be any danger!"
Hao Caiyun looked at Zhuang Zhimeng.
"You promise me! There won't be even the slightest danger?"
Zhuang Zhimeng nodded affirmatively.
"I assure you! There's really no danger. Neither Qingbai nor I will put ourselves in any danger, so you can rest assured!"
Seeing her confident demeanor, Hao Caiyun temporarily believed that she was not in danger.
Zhuang Zhimeng suddenly thought of Junjun, diverting Hao Caiyun's attention, and asked Hao Caiyun.
"Mom, should we let my little brother sleep in the same room as you when he arrives?"
Shi Meiling nodded without thinking.
"Yeah, you don't have any other rooms here, so let Junjun stay with us for a few days!"
Zhuang Zhimeng then made a suggestion.
"Mom, why don't we let Junjun sleep with Qingbai and Qinglin? Qinglin is only a year older than Junjun, maybe they'll have something in common and be able to chat together!"
Shi Meiling thought about it and agreed.
"That works too. We're all boys anyway, so no one has to be shy."
Zhuang Zhimeng smiled.
"Hehe, Junjun is so lively, he might become friends with Qinglin!"
Hao Caiyun smiled as she thought about Junjun's usual behavior.
"Heh! I'm just afraid that if he's too lively, he'll drive Qinglin crazy, and then your aunt will have a headache!"
Zhuang Zhimeng shook her head.
"I don't think so. Qinglin is too introverted! Hehe, Mom, aren't you afraid that Qinglin will make Junjun more introverted?"
Hao Caiyun disagreed.
"He's introverted? Let me tell you! That's impossible! Junjun is a total show-off, no one else could be introverted like him!"
If Qinglin really makes Junjun more introverted, then I'll have to thank Qinglin properly!
Zhuang Zhimeng chuckled to herself.
"Haha, Mom, you're exaggerating! Junjun isn't exactly a show-off, is he?"
Hao Caiyun pouted and told Zhuang Zhimeng.
"You weren't home, so you don't know. A few days ago, the students at their school were going to participate in some kind of joint event. They were going to another province, and Junjun was planning to go too."
Yaya, tell me, can I really let him go? How old is he? A fifteen-year-old boy daring to run off on his own!
I tried to persuade him repeatedly, going over the same things again and again, presenting the facts and reasoning with him until I finally calmed him down. But who knows what he was really thinking!
"He might run away again any day. Your dad and I aren't home, and we don't know if your grandparents can keep an eye on him!"
Zhuang Zhimeng never expected Junjun to have this trick up his sleeve!
"You were right not to let Junjun participate in the joint operation. I heard that many people were arrested! You've been away from home these past few days, and you've let Junjun stay with his grandparents?"
Hao Caiyun had no choice.
"That's right! Otherwise, I really wouldn't feel at ease. I don't think your older brother can keep an eye on him, so I've arranged for him to live with your grandfather. Your grandfather should be able to keep him in check!"
Zhuang Zhimeng made the suggestion in a joking manner.
“Jun Jun is coming over in a few days. I’ll talk to him, and he should listen to me. If not, I won’t let him go back. I’ll just keep him here!”
Hao Caiyun thought the suggestion was excellent.
"I forgot, he's always listened to you since he was little. You're the best person to talk to him. If he still doesn't listen, then let him stay in the countryside! He can keep you company!"
Zhuang Zhimeng smiled.
"Ha! You really can bear to leave Junjun in the countryside?"
Hao Caiyun stated firmly.
"What's there to be reluctant about? As long as a boy has a place to stay, that's fine. I support him as long as it's a serious matter. I think the countryside is just fine! Look at you, aren't you getting better and better?"
Or how about you have your grandfather get him into the army for some training?
Zhuang Zhimeng felt sorry for Junjun as she listened.
"I'll talk to Junjun first and see what he thinks. If it really doesn't work out, then we'll have Grandpa send him to the army!"
Hao Caiyun agreed, using diplomacy first and then force, so Junjun would have no reason to object later.
"Alright, I'll leave it to Ya Ya. I told you he's almost useless! Let's see if your older sister can hold her back!"
Zhuang Zhimeng agreed.
"Okay, leave it to me!"
Zhuang Xingzhou happened to return and overheard Zhuang Zhimeng's words, and asked her curiously.
"Yaya, what are you and your mom talking about? What task did you need to do?"
Zhuang Zhimeng smiled at Zhuang Xingzhou.
"Hehe, Dad, you should ask Mom! I'm going to go to that room and put the pillows there so my older brother and his family can come and stay!"
Zhuang Xingzhou looked at Hao Caiyun.
"Caiyun, what are you two talking about? Yaya still won't tell me!"
Unlike Zhuang Zhimeng, Hao Caiyun didn't keep Zhuang Xingzhou in suspense and told him directly.
"I'm talking about Junjun! Let Yaya talk to him, and if that doesn't work, we can send him to the army!"
Zhuang Xingzhou agreed without even considering it.
"I've been saying for a long time that I'd send Junjun to the army, but you've always been reluctant! You keep saying he's too young, but in the end you'll probably have to listen to me and send him to the army!"
