"Your master and I live here now; this place is quite secluded."

We also found the letter left by our elders by chance in our previous home.

I only just learned of this place; most importantly, there's a secret room here.

"No wonder my master called me a couple of days ago to tell me that he had found a place."

"Yes, we only recently discovered that."

After attending Lao Shang and Zhi Meng's family reunion ceremony in a couple of days, we plan to go on vacation.

So let's get things settled first.

"Of course, we're planning to go too. We won't be back until the end of August."

An Qingbai drove to the end.

"Master, have we arrived?"

"Yes, this is the place."

Shi Jiashu got out of the car as he spoke.

Zhuang Zhimeng followed her down.

"It's really quite secluded, with such a large bamboo forest."

"Yes, this place is safe."

Liu Huaying came out after hearing the noise.

"You're here! Have lunch here? I've already made reservations with the restaurant next door."

"Okay, Master, why does this place seem to be not far from the address Grandpa Shang gave me?"

"Old Shang arranged for us to stay at the restaurant next door. There's a private club here that's been around for a long time."

People need a recommendation to get in; most people don't know about it.

We're regulars.

Zhuang Zhimeng understood.

An Qingbai locked the car and walked over.

"Master's wife, let's move the boxes inside first."

"Yes, yes, Jiashu, you move the things we agreed on down here."

"We agreed that half would be given to Zhimeng, so you can take the other half back."

"Master, I..."

"Alright, you don't need to say anything. Just accept what your master gave you. We're not strangers."

"Alright, then I'll have to bring you something later."

"Yes, don't worry, Master will accept whatever you give me, Zhimeng."

"Haha, okay, then you can't refuse whatever I send you next time."

Shi Jiashu jumped onto the truck.

He opened each box one by one and handed the box to be moved to the secret room to his apprentice who was standing next to him.

An Qingbai then placed it on the ground.

The four people each carried a box.

Liu Huaying led the way at the front.

"Follow me."

The four of them arrived at a stone lamp.

Liu Huaying placed the box on the ground and turned the stone lamp.

The door to the secret room opened.

Liu Huaying picked up the box again.

"Come on, come inside with me."

The other three followed her inside.

Liu Huaying walked to a stone slab.

"All of you, come up here."

This stone slab leads down one level to the actual secret chamber.

"Master, is this secret room in your house so complicated?"

"Yes, someone in my family was an expert in this area."

The four people stood together on the stone slab.

Liu Huaying pressed the button on the stone slab, and the slab moved downwards.

It was so dark and scary.

"Don't be afraid, we'll be there soon."

The stone slab landed smoothly as soon as Liu Huaying finished speaking.

"Okay, just put the box here."

"Master's wife, can we just put it anywhere?"

"Yes, just put it anywhere."

There are quite a few boxes here, and the contents are all pretty much the same, just different in quantity.

I only realized after reading the letter that what I had before wasn't ancestral property.

This is the place; those things were specifically for me, and I can do with them as I please.

Zhuang Zhimeng put the box down without looking at it much.

"Master, we don't need to walk on the stone slabs anymore when we go back, right?"

"No need, you can go out from here and go straight into the courtyard. It's a one-way mechanism."

The four put down the box, and Liu Huaying led them to a corner of the secret room and pressed a protruding button.

A stone gate slowly rose up.

"Now we can get out."

The four people bent over and passed through the stone gate. The gate didn't need to be touched; it would automatically close in half an hour.

I walked along the road for quite a while before I finally came out.

Just then, someone knocked on the door.

Shi Jiashu brought the food to the table.

"You should come and try it, their food is really good."

Liu Huaying echoed this sentiment.

"It's really good, the kind of food you'll remember after just one bite."

Zhuang Zhimeng patted her lover.

“Abo, bring the fruit wine over and let Master and Uncle Shi have a taste.”

"Okay, I'll go get it."

Zhuang Zhimeng explained.

"Abo went back to Northeast China a couple of days ago."

Our newly made fruit wine tastes quite good; you two should try it.

Shi Jiashu was very happy.

"You must try it. The wine you made before tasted really good. We drink it every day now."

"Okay, let us know when you're done drinking, and we'll bring you more."

"Alright, Uncle Shi won't stand on ceremony with you."

"You are welcome."

An Qingbai brought over two jars of fruit wine.

"Master and Mistress, please save it for drinking."

Liu Huaying brought over a few cups.

"Qingbai is still driving, so let me give you a drink. Zhimeng can have more."

"Hmm, that's fine. This liquor isn't very strong, and it won't have a lingering effect."

As An Qingbai spoke, he poured a cup for his master and mistress, a cup for his wife, and a little for himself.

Shi Jiashu raised his glass.

"Let's clink glasses first, we have to at least do it as a token."

The four clinked glasses and took a sip.

"It tastes great, almost as good as the previous wines."

"I also think it tastes good, it's very smooth."

Zhuang Zhimeng smiled.

"Fruit wine pairs best with meat; you can drink fruit wine while eating meat."
