Ying Ziyu transmigrated. A purple lightning strike caused him to become Qin Shi Huang's nineteenth son.
It was a hellish start. Just after birth, a treacherous minister planned to swap hi...
Time flies, and in the blink of an eye, the cold winter has passed.
The snow has melted, the warm sun shines on the ground, and last night spring rain brought forth delicate flowers like rainbows vying to emerge from the soil.
The little guy was still having a sweet dream when he was suddenly forcibly pulled up. Regardless of whether he was awake or not, Xiangqin began to change his clothes.
As she took off the little boy's red coat, Xiangqin exclaimed, "Your Majesty, the young master has grown so fast, he's gotten so much taller."
Consort Shu looked at the chubby little guy and said, "This boy eats so much every day, how can he not grow fast?"
"I heard that the Grand Mage's chicken leg was poisoned again last night. It's only because the Grand Mage is lenient that I would have no face to see him otherwise."
"Chicken leg! Chicken leg!"
The little guy mumbled something, then vaguely opened his eyes and saw that his clothes had been changed.
When the weather got warmer, I dressed him in a light pink short jacket, which was perfect for this kind of weather.
Looking at the color, the little guy frowned. "It's one thing for Mom to secretly change my clothes, but I don't really like this color. Can I get a different one?"
Looking at the little one's adorable appearance, Consort Shu smiled sweetly, "No, this isn't for you to see. It's enough that your mother is happy to see it."
The little guy stood up, huffing and puffing, "No way! I have principles too, I'm a man! How can I wear something so pink?"
Consort Shu raised an eyebrow slightly. "Principles? Add a chicken leg to dinner?"
The little one's expression changed, and she hugged Consort Shu tightly, "My dear mother, can I have another pair if I change my pants to pink too?"
Consort Shu stroked the boy's head, "My good son, it won't work."
The little guy's face stiffened slightly.
But then I thought better of it.
One is fine.
It's better than nothing.
Consort Shu held him in her arms and walked outside. "Alright, let's hurry up, or we'll be late."
Upon entering, they found numerous eunuchs and palace maids already waiting, their expressions solemn and ready for action. The little boy asked with a puzzled look, "Is something important happening today?"
Consort Shu replied, "Today is His Majesty's birthday; we must go and celebrate!"
Xiangqin frowned. "It's strange, in previous years His Majesty always thought it was a waste of time not to celebrate his birthday, but this year he took the initiative to organize it..."
The group chatted idly along the way and unknowingly arrived at the palace gate, where they bumped into Consort Liang.
Upon seeing Consort Shu and the little one, Consort Liang smiled gently and curtsied, saying, "Sister, Xiaoyu."
Looking at the grand procession behind Consort Liang, with at least dozens of carriages at a glance, Consort Shu was quite shocked. "Sister, are you moving?"
Consort Liang smiled calmly, "Sister, you are joking. This is just a small gift prepared for His Majesty."
"His Majesty rarely celebrates his birthday, so my sister must not neglect it. Everything that needs to be prepared must be complete."
Consort Shu raised an eyebrow, "A little?"
Consort Liang replied, "Sister only saw half of it; the other half is still behind. It's just that the road is too narrow to deliver it all at once."
Consort Shu was speechless.
Is it definitely a strange road?
The little one looked at Consort Liang with great joy, raising both hands and calling out, "Aunt Liang, Aunt Liang!"
Consort Liang hugged the little one, "Little Yu must have missed Aunt Liang too, right? You're getting cuter and cuter every day!"
The little one had big, bright eyes and skin so smooth it seemed like a porcelain doll. Just looking at her made Consort Liang happy, let alone holding her in her arms.
The little boy scrutinized Consort Liang and said earnestly, "Everyone says people get older as they age, but how come Aunt Liang is getting younger and more beautiful?"
One sentence made Consort Liang smile broadly, "Hehe, Xiaoyu always speaks the truth."
As she spoke, she seized an opportunity and, out of Consort Shu's sight, secretly slipped a handful of gold beans into the little guy's purse.
The little guy was moved to tears.
[Waaaa, Aunt Liang, my dear aunt!]
This reaction puzzled Consort Shu.
It was just a hug, why are you so touched?
As soon as the three entered, they saw Ying Zheng reviewing memorials.
Even on days like these, he did not slack off and maintained his usual style, carefully reviewing memorials.
The two women gave a slight curtsy, saying, "Your Majesty, we greet you!"
"Your Majesty, I have come to pay my respects!"
Upon hearing this, Ying Zheng looked up at the group and said, "No need for formalities!"
"Thank you, Your Majesty!"
"Thank you, Your Majesty!"
As soon as the two stood up straight, they saw Ying Zheng walk up to them and stare straight at Consort Liang.
Consort Liang asked with some confusion, "What is Your Majesty doing?"
Could it be that what Xiaoyu said is true, that I am indeed getting more and more beautiful?
So even His Majesty can't help but want to take a second look at me?
But Your Majesty is really something, there are so many people here, how can I possibly accept this?
As Consort Liang was pondering, Ying Zheng handed her a scroll of memorials, saying, "Hold this for me first, and give it to me later. I still need to read it."
Consort Liang accepted the memorial with a bewildered expression.
Then Ying Zheng looked at the little one and said, "It's inconvenient for you to carry the memorials. Let me hold Yu'er for you."
As he spoke, he picked up the little one.
Consort Liang frowned slightly as she looked at the memorial in her hand.
Something feels off.
Ying Zheng looked the little one over with a smile on his face, "Yu'er, have you missed your father?"
The little guy nodded, "Yes! My dear daddy, could you give me a chicken leg?"
Ying Zheng patted his head, "My good son, you're not good enough."
The little guy sighed inwardly.
Sigh, there's a reason why Dad and Mom ended up together.
Ying Zheng held the little one and sat down, then looked at Consort Shu and Consort Liang, "Take a seat."
The two sat down, and Consort Shu looked around but didn't see anyone else. She asked in confusion, "Why are there so few people?"
