This is not a smooth-...
A plan gradually took shape in Linde's mind.
Rather than passively responding to the chaos sweeping across the continent, it is better to take the initiative and establish the initial rules for this wild new era.
Individual unrest and the rise and fall of kingdoms are merely symptoms. What truly influences the continent's格局 (geju, a term referring to the overall situation or structure of the continent) are those beings who stand above all living beings—the gods, and ancient forces comparable to the gods.
The "disappearance" of Tiolantis not only vacated the authority of the magic network, but also disrupted the balance of power at the top.
Someone had to redefine the boundaries, and Lind decided to be that person.
The following day, after settling matters concerning his territory and reassuring his family, Linde did not bring any Starry Sky Apostles, nor did he use any conspicuous vehicles.
He took a step forward, his figure disappearing into the gap between shadow and light. When he reappeared, he found himself in a vast world filled with a wild atmosphere, seemingly composed of countless ancient hunting scenes.
The Kingdom of Ten Thousand Beasts, an "Endless Hunting Ground".
Here, the sky is the color of eternal twilight, and the air is filled with a mixture of the smells of blood, earth, and wild life.
The roar of an unknown behemoth echoed from afar, while nearby, energy-formed cheetahs and eagles darted through the void.
Compared to the intricate, magnificent, yet cold divine realm of Tiolantis, this place is filled with a primal, rough, and powerful sense of strength.
Linde's arrival was like throwing a boulder into a calm (relatively speaking) lake.
He did not deliberately conceal his aura. His unique presence, refined by the legacy of the divine kingdom and with the light and darkness merging more profoundly, was like a lighthouse in the night, instantly attracting the attention of the place's owner.
"roar--!"
A roar that seemed to come from the primordial era shook the heavens and the earth. The space in front of Linde distorted, and a huge amount of energy gathered, once again forming the majestic crimson energy behemoth head of Urano.
His lava-like eyes stared at Lind, filled with undisguised scrutiny and a deep sense of apprehension.
“Child of the Outcast… your ‘scent’ is becoming even more dangerous.”
Uranus's voice, like rolling thunder, echoed throughout the divine realm: "Theolandis has fallen silent. What brings you here now?"
Linde remained calm, unsurprised that Uranus could sense Tiorantis's fate. These ancient beings had their own channels of information.
"Lord Urano, it's been a long time." Linde nodded slightly as a greeting, his tone neither humble nor arrogant. "My purpose in coming here is not only for cooperation, but also... to offer you an opportunity."
"Opportunity?" Urano's will sneered. "You stirred up the source of magic across the entire continent, granting countless ants undeserved claws and teeth, causing order to collapse and chaos to flourish! What opportunity is this for us?"
"The collapse of the old order is the best time to establish a new one."
Linde stated directly, "The era of Theolantis' monopoly on the magic network is over. Now that magic has returned to nature, all beings have the potential to touch its mysteries. This may seem chaotic, but isn't it also a golden opportunity to redistribute 'faith' and 'influence'?"
He paused, observing Urano's reaction, and continued:
"However, uncontrolled expansion will only bring destruction and war, ultimately eroding the very foundation of the world. Whether it is your orcish people or the followers of other races, they all need a relatively stable environment to recuperate and thrive in order to provide a more devout faith, don't they?"
Urano's enormous eyes narrowed; he understood the unspoken meaning in Lind's words:
What are you trying to say?
"I need a meeting."
Lind got straight to the point, “A meeting limited to the most elite beings. It is jointly initiated by you, Urano the Goldenmane Watcher, God of Beasts, and me, Lind Truk, Lord of Blackrock. The invitees include, but are not limited to, Elysia, the Mother of a Thousand Roots of the Elves, His Majesty Amarsera of the Dragon Clan, and other beings qualified to participate in setting the rules.”
"The Council of the Gods?"
Urano's will wavered with surprise. "You want to lead the formulation of the basic rules of the new era? With your abilities?" Although Linde possessed the power to kill gods, in the eyes of an ancient god like Urano, he still lacked sufficient "divinity" and "foundation" to preside over a meeting of such caliber.
"Because I ended the era of Tiolantis, because I possess knowledge and power that even the gods would covet, because I have the awakened 'Eternal Rock' Amarserak and the entire Dragon Council standing behind me, and because my Blackrock Territory can maintain order amidst chaos and possesses energy and technology independent of the magic network."
Linde's tone remained calm, but every word struck Urano's heart like a heavy hammer.
He extended his palm, and a faint yet extremely pure wisp of light energy, seemingly containing the mysteries of the very origin of life, emerged in his hand. At the same time, in his other hand, a fragment of the law from the Shadow Abyss, symbolizing "End" and "Nothingness," coalesced. The two extreme forces coexisted harmoniously, emanating a chilling fluctuation.
"This is my sincerity, or rather... a bribe."
Linde gently pushed the two orbs of energy toward the manifestation of Urano's will. "I know you have been seeking to break through the limits of your own divinity and purify the orc bloodline. The life order power of the Light Veins may help you stabilize your divine kingdom and nourish your believers; while the ethereal nature of the Shadow Abyss may help you understand the cycle of 'destruction' and 'rebirth,' touching upon deeper laws of savagery and hunting. This is just a sample. If the meeting is successful, deeper cooperation... is not impossible."
The giant head of Uranus stared at the two orbs of energy, its lava eyes flashing intensely.
He could clearly sense the powerful rules contained within, which were different from the current world system yet pointed directly to the origin.
For Him, who had been trapped in His current state for countless years, the temptation was fatal.
After a long silence, the entire Endless Hunting Ground seemed to hold its breath.
Finally, Uranus let out a deep roar that shook the void:
"...An interesting 'bribe.' Reveal your true plan, Child of the Outcast. What do you hope to achieve at this meeting?"
Linde knew he had succeeded in the first step. He withdrew his energy and began to articulate his idea:
"First, establish the principle of 'separation of gods and humans.' Gods must not directly interfere with the internal struggles and development of the prime material plane on a large scale in their true form or powerful avatars. The struggle for faith must be conducted indirectly through agents, divine magic, and other means to avoid the direct impact of divine wars on the mortal world. This is to protect the foundation of the world and to prevent the gods from being mutually destroyed in the chaos due to direct conflict."
"Second, acknowledge the current state of 'widespread magic' and delineate 'forbidden zones.' Allow mortals to research and use magic, but jointly prohibit certain extremely dangerous magical research and applications that could cause ecological or dimensional disasters (such as large-scale soul devouring, uncontrollable spacetime distortion, etc.). This requires the establishment of a cross-divine oversight mechanism, jointly maintained by all participating parties."
"Third, establish a 'high-level crisis response mechanism.' In the face of threats that may endanger the survival of the entire continent of Til (such as the reappearance of alien invaders similar to the Fusion God, or some kind of global magical disaster), all parties involved have an obligation to share intelligence and cooperate initially."
After Linde finished speaking clearly and logically, he looked at Urano:
"These terms aim to establish a relatively stable and sustainable new order, preventing the continent from sliding completely into the abyss of chaos amidst the magical frenzy. For the gods, they limit the risk of direct conflict and preserve the foundation of their faith; for mortals, they gain space for development and a certain degree of security..."
Urano's enormous head swayed slowly, seemingly digesting Lind's proposal. These terms, while appearing to restrict the gods, also provided a framework to prevent the belief system from collapsing completely in the chaos.
The first one, in particular, is a form of protection for Him, who is not the most powerful deity.
"What you're offering... is very tempting, and cunning enough."
Urano's voice lowered, "But persuading those other arrogant fellows is no easy task. The ancient elven trees have been asleep for too long, and the dragons have only just awakened... They may not be willing to sit down and discuss rules with an 'outlier' like you."
Linde knew that, to these gods, even if he had killed the god of magic, he was still a human being, not an existence like them.
"Therefore, we need you, the great God of all beasts, to join us in initiating this."
Linde opportunely offered a compliment, saying, "Your prestige and strength are crucial to the success of this conference. As for me, I will provide sufficient 'bargaining chips' to persuade them—whether it be knowledge, technology, or information about 'outside the world'."
He hinted at the knowledge he gained from the Zedo civilization and the divine realm of Tiolantis, which held unparalleled appeal for any being aspiring to go further.
Urano fell silent again, weighing the pros and cons.
While there are risks involved in partnering with Linde, the potential rewards are also enormous.
Not only can they gain an opportunity for breakthroughs, but they can also take the lead in setting the rules of the new era, consolidating or even enhancing the influence of the orc pantheon.
“…Location.” After a long silence, Urano finally spoke, which was tantamount to acknowledging the cooperation.
"How about we go to the 'Spark Base'?"
Linde proposed, “That place is independent of traditional spheres of influence, has its own energy system, which is enough to shield it from most prying eyes, and can also show you a… new possibility.”
Holding a meeting to decide on a new order in the land that once resisted divine punishment undoubtedly carries strong symbolic significance.
Urano's manifested will gave Lind a deep look: "Fine. I'll take care of the contact. But you'd better prepare a 'gift' that's enough to impress those old guys."
"Stay tuned." Lin De bowed slightly.
The crimson energy behemoth's head slowly dissipated, signifying that this secret meeting had reached an agreement.
Standing in the wind of the endless hunting grounds, Linde knew that the most crucial step had been taken.
Once the Council of Gods succeeds, he will no longer be an "outlier" outside the established order, but one of the creators of the new rules.
He turned around, his figure slowly fading away as he left the Beast God's kingdom.
Next, he needs to return to Blackrock Territory to prepare a "meeting agenda" and a "gift" that will surely impress the gods.
