She is often expressionless, never revealing what she’s thinking.
No matter what, the cautious cousin arrived at Wenmo’s abode.
These two ended up living together inexplicably.
<..."Stop peeling the shrimp, I'll be happier than anyone if you can eat a few more pieces of meat."
Halfway through her meal, Xia Lian had barely eaten any meat left in her bowl, as she was busy peeling shrimp for Wen Mo. It wasn't until she received a flick on the head that she finally started eating her meat properly.
Wen Mo's appetite wasn't very large, and meat was indeed filling. He was now taking the shrimp that Xia Lian had peeled and popping them into his mouth one by one, occasionally raising his hand to feed Xia Lian a bite.
"Frog, it's delicious..."
After Xia Lian took a bite of the frog, her previously expressionless face immediately lit up with satisfaction, indicating that she really liked the taste of the frog.
"I'm not kidding you, bullfrogs are delicious no matter how you eat them once they're in the pot." Wen Mo chuckled as he helped scoop out the meat, gathering most of the bullfrogs into Xia Lian's bowl, while also adding several slices of beef.
She must have been tired of peeling them, because Xia Lian was focused on eating the meat in her bowl, holding a frog leg in each hand and gnawing on it with great enjoyment. A little bit of red oil from the tomato soup stained her pale face.
Many customers in the store were drawn to this adorable little girl. Her expressionless face, combined with the contrast of her holding two frog legs, made her look strangely cute.
"Don't you eat crab? The crabs here are very fresh."
Wenmo scooped out half a hairy crab and started eating it with his hands.
Now that my stomach is almost full of meat, it's time to eat something that won't make me feel too full. Crab is the kind of food that you can eat as much as you want without feeling stuffed.
"Crabs are delicious."
"It's delicious, isn't it? Would you like some more? If so, I'll get you two."
“But… crab shells are so hard.” Xia Lian shook her head.
Compared to food that you can't get full even after eating for half a day, she prefers meat that she can eat to her heart's content, such as the frog in her hand and the beef in her bowl.
"Uh, I didn't tell you to eat the shell, just eat the meat inside."
Wenmo knew what she was thinking. This stuff was delicious, but it was too hard to eat. There wasn't much meat on a crab to begin with, and having to waste time dismantling it was such a hassle.
I just saw my cousin really like the taste of crab, especially when she was eating crab legs, her big eyes were sparkling.
Without much hesitation, Wen Mo put on disposable gloves and started dismantling the crab with his hands. He twisted off the two crab claws and carefully knocked off the shell, revealing the tender crab meat inside.
Here, take this and eat it.
Place the crab legs into Xia Lian's bowl. These crushed crab legs are so easy to eat that you only need to take a sip to get the meat.
Xia Lian finished eating the frog in her hand, then glanced at the crab leg in the bowl, and then at Wen Mo, a puzzled look on her face.
"Wenmo, aren't you going to eat?"
"I'm already full, I'll eat very quickly." Wen Mo smiled, then asked the waiter for a small knife, and cut the hairy crab in half with one stroke. The golden crab roe looked very tempting. "You can eat it, don't worry about me."
People like to eat hot pot on cold days because it warms them up and makes them feel warmer.
"Wenmo, you don't need to peel it for me..."
Xia Lian was fidgeting, her limited repertoire of expressions was running wild, and it wasn't until the very end that you could see that the expression on her face was awkward.
"What, you can peel shrimp for me, but I can't help you dismantle crabs?" Wen Mo rolled her eyes and ignored her words.
Who cares about all that, let's just eat!
Hearing this, Xia Lian stopped talking. She picked up a crab leg and put it in her mouth, savoring the unique freshness of the crab meat. The delicious aroma made her taste buds feel like they were flying.
The girl rested her hand on her cheek, her eyes slightly narrowed, her expression revealing an undisguised sense of satisfaction.
Crabs are so delicious...
The square and round plates on the table were gradually stacked into several piles. The two of them didn't have much fighting power, and most of the plates contained crabs and frogs.
Xia Lian has a small appetite, and Wen Mo isn't much of a eater either. When he first met his cousin, he ate two hamburgers and a few pieces of fried chicken and his stomach was bloated.
Xia Lian only put down her chopsticks after she finished eating the last half of the crab and secretly stuffed two more pieces of meat into her mouth.
"Are you full?" Wen Mo picked up his coat, feeling a bit sleepy after sitting there for so long.
"Mmm, I'm full..."
Xia Lian stroked her belly and was about to get up when she suddenly covered her mouth.
"belch……"
She burped.
"Huh? What's going on?" Wen Mo was seeing Xia Lian hiccup for the first time.
"I... hiccup... don't know... hiccup..."
Xia Lian shook her head, her body trembling occasionally.
"Wait a minute." Wen Mo wanted to laugh, but reason told him that it wouldn't feel good to laugh at this moment, so he could only desperately suppress the smile on his lips.
A few seconds later, he returned to the table with a bottle of drink and handed it to Xia Lian, saying, "Either drink a few more sips, or take a sip but don't swallow it, hold your breath, and I promise you won't hiccup anymore."
Xia Lian took the bottle of water, took a big gulp, and held her breath, her cheeks bulging out like a hamster's.
He swallowed it only after the hiccups stopped ten seconds later.
"This is the first time I've ever seen you hiccup." Wen Mo finally smiled; he had almost injured himself trying to hold back his laughter.
Then he reached out his hand, intending to pat Xia Lian's head as a gesture of comfort, but unexpectedly the girl turned around and hid behind the chair.
Her face had a slight blush.
She hiccuped in front of her cousin just now, and she seemed shy.
Wen Mo awkwardly withdrew his hand, glancing at it thoughtfully for a few moments.
