Have You Bring Your Cousin, Only to Play a Nurturing Game?

She is often expressionless, never revealing what she’s thinking.

No matter what, the cautious cousin arrived at Wenmo’s abode.

These two ended up living together inexplicably.

Chapter 296 ends. (shuhaige.net)

Thirty minutes before the bell rang for the final exam, as Wen Mo parted from the exam paper, she looked out the window with a thousand thoughts in her mind, clutching her chest, feeling as if something had quietly left.

"There was no suspense at all. I thought it would be more tense, but nothing changed."

He muttered to himself, packing his things to leave his seat. He had done quite well in the exams these past few days, and his grades shouldn't fluctuate too much.

Seemingly noticing his whispers, the proctor glanced in their direction, intentionally or unintentionally observing the boy sitting in the corner.

In the silent classroom, Wen Mo raised his hand, holding the completed test paper, signaling the proctor to come and collect the papers.

The proctor, who had been closely monitoring the exam, noticed this, frowned, and strode over to the table. "Want to hand in your paper?"

"Um."

"Half an hour left."

"Know."

Without saying much, and seemingly afraid of disturbing other students who were still answering questions, the teacher confirmed several times that the candidate really wanted to hand in his paper early. He didn't stop him, but waved for him to take his things and leave.

To be honest, it's quite rare to hand in your paper early.

Especially for big exams like this, most students will not get up until the very last minute, for fear of regretting not checking their work earlier.

Wenmo wasn't particularly confident; he had simply finished all the questions and checked them, and it wouldn't be appropriate for him to just sit there and admire the scenery any longer.

What's more, there's someone I want to see waiting at the door.

The once bustling school was now quiet and silent, but the closer one got to the school gate, the more parents gathered, forming a large crowd.

What surprised Wen Mo was that, besides himself, there were other people who handed in their papers early.

"Damn, who is this guy? He's here even before me."

As we all know, the students who hand in their papers early are always the most conspicuous. For example, there's that guy in front of me who's running wildly for some reason, with his hands raised high in the sky, running straight past the school gate full of reporters, leaving behind only an extremely impassioned shout.

"Buff Sima Yi, you ugly idiot! Give Sima Yi a new skin!"

The map of the Yan Kingdom byd is far too short!

So you handed in your paper so early just for this little bit of achievement?

Wen Mo smiled dismissively.

Of course, it would be best if they could release a skin...

While all the reporters were completely bewildered, they were greeted by the second student who handed in his paper early, and they immediately switched gears and surrounded him.

"Hi student, you also handed in your paper early, right? Is there anything you'd like to say after the college entrance exam?"

Faced with a large crowd, Wen Mo subconsciously looked away, ultimately feeling somewhat uncomfortable.

He coughed twice, leaned closer to the microphone, and was about to say a few words when he saw Wen Yiquan standing on a small stone block behind the crowd, keeping watch.

When his gaze met Wenmo's, his eyes widened and his lips curled into a wide smile.

"Hey! That's my son! My son, haha!"

"Hey, keep your voice down! Shouting like that is so embarrassing!" Su Juan quickly kicked him, but when she noticed that everyone's attention had been drawn to her, she forced a smile and put on a dignified and virtuous motherly demeanor.

The parents were amused by the family and then turned their attention back to the young man who confidently handed in his exam paper.

Wen Mo scratched his head awkwardly, "Those are my parents. I'm sorry, my dad is a bit too excited. I'll have my mom deal with him when we get back."

"It's alright, it's alright. Your family is quite interesting."

The reporter at the front smiled and shook his head, almost shoving the microphone into Wen Mo's mouth. "Now, please say a few words. You can share your thoughts, talk about what you want to do next, or thank someone you want to thank."

Who do you want to thank...?

There are too many people to thank over the past three years, but it would be too disrespectful to mention them all. So, in this more casual moment, Wenmo will only talk about the few people he is closest to.

For example, my dad.

For example, my mom.

For example...

"It's alright. I want to thank my parents for taking care of me. I've caused them a lot of trouble since I was little, and I've really put them through a lot."

Wen Mo spoke slowly, his tone extremely carefree, and the faint smile on his face added several levels to his good looks, which was exactly what the reporter needed.

"And there's another very important person."

At this point, Wen Mo took a deep breath, looking at the slender figure beside his mother. His heart began to race involuntarily. Under the gaze of many people, he finally blushed, but even so, he still forced himself to say what he wanted to say loudly.

"I want to thank my girlfriend, she's here right now, but for some reason I can't let her appear on camera. Even so, I still want to thank her for everything she's done for me this past year..."

His voice was neither too loud nor too soft, and even a little trembling. Wen Mo was trying his best, he was nervous, but even so, he still forced out words that would never be mentioned under normal circumstances.

Xia Lian was stunned, seemingly not expecting Wen Mo to talk about her in front of so many people.

She subconsciously pursed her lips and placed her hands in front of her. Even though there was some distance between them, she could still clearly hear every word Wen Mo said.

That was describing her.

Even if they can't show their faces or talk about their relationship, they still try their best to tell others that they are lovers.

Xia Lian's eyes flickered slightly, and before she knew it, her nose felt a little sore, and her pretty face scrunched up like a steamed bun.
