A story of mutual crushes and reuniting after a long separation, mainly set on campus. It's a sweet romance.
Su Xun falls in love with a boy, only to discover that the boy likes her too.<...
In early June, the air was still a bit hot. The insects hiding in the flower beds became increasingly active, and their chirping could be heard throughout the teaching building. Accompanied by the unchanging tone of the literature history teacher on the podium, the students listening to the lecture in the classroom were drowsy.
Finally, the school bell rang, breaking the almost frozen atmosphere.
"Finally get out of class is over. If it had been a minute later, I would have fallen asleep." Wen Yanyan patted her face and yawned.
"I'm not asleep yet." Su Xun quickly packed up his textbooks and put them in his bag.
Wen Yanyan has become much more serious about her studies this semester, probably because she will be a junior in college soon. Wen Yanyan explained: "Any grade that is related to the number 'three' is always more difficult. Junior high and senior high, which year is not exhausting?"
Su Xun then raised a question: "What about third grade? Did you also face the challenge of entering a higher grade?"
"When I was in the third grade of elementary school, there was a really important exam. In the fourth grade, we would be reassigned to different classes, so I was under a lot of pressure that year," Wen Yanyan replied.
Su Xun patted Wen Yanyan on the shoulder, "So, are you still going to the library with me today?"
Wen Yanyan has thoroughly put the concept of "love of learning" into practice this semester, going to the library with Su Xun every day.
"No, we're having a leadership transition meeting today, I need to go and set up the venue," Wen Yanyan said lazily, then slowly began packing her things.
Upon hearing this, Su Xun nodded, "Then I'll head over first."
Wen Yanyan remained in the student union during her sophomore year, serving as the head of the external relations department, replacing Xiang Yang. Her life became even busier, as she often had to travel around for an event.
That year, this girl and Xiang Yang got along really well. They got together right after their freshman year, which shocked everyone else in the department. I treated you as my department head and work partner, and I was planning to organize activities together. I never expected that you two would be having an affair behind our backs.
Su Xun walked out of the teaching building. It was the peak time for students to leave get out of class. The glass door was set to automatic sensor mode, so there was no need to swipe a card.
She walked straight out the door and stood on the small steps in front of the college. The sunlight shining directly into her eyes made her squint, and it took her a few seconds to adjust to the bright light.
The summer sun is already unbearable by 10 a.m.
Waves of classmates rushed by, some just finishing get out of class and others just arriving for class.
People were coming and going in the small open space in front of him. Su Xun tugged at his backpack and decided to walk towards the library.
She lowered her head, trying to avoid letting the scorching sunlight shine directly into her eyes.
She had only taken a couple of steps when a shadow appeared in front of her, enveloping her and blocking her way.
She looked up. "Excuse me..."
The confident voice that told people not to block the way was gradually swallowed back down.
"Pei Ke?" He sounded uncertain.
"I was just wondering when you would notice me, but you didn't even look in my direction." The familiar voice carried a hint of grievance.
He had just been standing at the entrance of the Chinese Department building, watching Su Xun walk out. He paused for a moment, then walked away without glancing back at where Su Xun had been standing.
"When did you get back?" Her joy made her ignore Pei Ke's complaints.
She hugged him tightly, saying, "Why didn't you tell me you were coming back?"
Pei Ke obediently wrapped his arms around the person in his arms; she was still so soft.
"I arrived in S City this morning, packed up and came to find you." He looked at Su Xun's class schedule and saw that she had classes this morning. He was afraid that she would insist on coming to pick him up, so he didn't tell her his return flight.
