A story of mutual crushes and reuniting after a long separation, mainly set on campus. It's a sweet romance.
Su Xun falls in love with a boy, only to discover that the boy likes her too.<...
Three years later
"Where's the screenwriter? There's a section here that needs to be changed."
Having just finished a night shoot, the director was searching for people everywhere with a megaphone.
"Teacher Su said she's not feeling well today and is currently at the hotel," the assistant quickly ran over to explain.
The director nodded, indicating that there was indeed such a thing. Tonight's scene was difficult to film, and he was completely flustered.
This afternoon, Su Xun said she felt a little dizzy, so he told her to go back to the hotel to rest.
The film crew was shooting in Northwest China, a place of endless yellow sand, backwardness, and desolation. The temperature difference between day and night was huge, and it was autumn, so many staff members caught colds.
Su Xun received a call from the director's assistant, saying that a scene needed to be modified, and she agreed.
She sent the revised content over at 11 p.m.
The climate in this small town is peculiar. She caught a cold after only a few days. A normal cold would be fine, but she was also menstruating at the same time, and she felt unwell all over.
I took a shower and when I came back, I found my phone was lit up and buzzing on the bed.
"Hey, Pei Ke, you're still up so late?"
"Yes, I just finished here."
Beside him was a huge floor-to-ceiling window, through which a blurry profile was reflected. The lines of his chin were more sharp and cold than they had been a few years ago. Pei Ke sat on the sofa with his legs crossed lazily, his tie loosened and casually tossed aside.
While he was on the phone, he was fiddling with a small dark velvet box in one hand.
He chatted with Su Xun about trivial matters and didn't find it boring at all.
A phone call every day has become a routine.
"Alright, I have to go to the film crew tomorrow, so I need to get plenty of rest. You should get some rest too."
"Okay, are you going to be on set all day tomorrow?"
"There have been some issues with the recent scenes, so I'll probably be on set the whole time."
Okay, good night.
Su Xun hung up the phone and lay back down on the bed.
The screenwriter didn't want to be on set as often as the actors, but since part of the TV series was filmed in the Northwest desert, she wanted to experience it firsthand, so she came.
Fortunately, I followed along. We didn't find any problems with the script during the early stages of preparation, but after we officially started working on it, we discovered that many details needed to be changed.
I slept well all night.
The next day, she got up very early and ran into the third male lead of the drama while having breakfast downstairs. He was also the most important character in the desert part of the TV series.
"Good morning, Teacher Su. Shall we have breakfast together?" Xiao Yanxi was only wearing a simple sweatshirt and waved enthusiastically as she was about to change into her costume.
"Okay." Su Xun didn't refuse. They were all in the same production crew, and pretending not to hear would make her seem cold-hearted.
The two found a table and each ate what was on their plates.
"Teacher Su, thank you so much for today's script."
"No trouble at all, it's just part of my job." The part that needed to be revised yesterday happened to be Xiao Yanxi's. I heard he has a powerful background, and he brought in most of the investment for the entire film. His only request was not to film any kissing scenes. I don't know what he's thinking.
The third male lead has a romantic storyline. She had already deleted all of Xiao Yanxi's intimate scenes before filming started, but she still missed one, which she discovered yesterday.
The two went to the film set together. Su Xun had nothing to do, so he sat in a chair and watched the director yelling at people through a megaphone.
A director really needs a good voice; he has to take countless throat lozenges throughout the day.
No one bothered her, and she fell asleep in no time. When she woke up, there was a commotion in front of her. Five or six people were gathered around, and someone else ran over with a first-aid kit. The director was throwing a tantrum.
