A story of mutual crushes and reuniting after a long separation, mainly set on campus. It's a sweet romance.
Su Xun falls in love with a boy, only to discover that the boy likes her too.<...
"You weren't crying, were you?" Su Xun reached out and touched her.
Pei Ke slapped away the hand that was about to reach for his face.
"Shut up, who's crying?"
Su Xun was almost amused by his aggrieved yet trying-hard-to-hold-back expression, and she never knew he was so cute.
She took Pei Ke's hand, which was hanging at his sides, and hooked two of his fingers with her smaller hand. "Okay, okay, you didn't cry. Let's go back and talk. It's already very late."
As he spoke, he took the large hand behind him and started walking forward.
It was already past 11 p.m., and the once bustling streets were much quieter, with some vendors packing up their stalls.
They stood under a tree on the street corner, making them difficult to spot at night.
When they returned to the hotel, Su Xun was carrying medicine in one hand and holding someone's hand with the other. She let go of their hand and pushed open the glass door in front of her.
The warmth in his hands suddenly left, and he squeezed his palms uncomfortably, lingering on the softness he had just felt.
A figure suddenly rushed out from inside the door, and upon seeing Su Xun who had just stepped in, hugged her tightly, "Su Xun, where have you been? I haven't been able to contact you."
Su Xun felt a tightness in his chest after being bumped by the person in front of him.
Is this door incompatible with her birth chart? She bumped into people here twice in one night.
She gently pushed the person in front of her aside and saw that it was Song Xueying. She guessed that Song Xueying had come back with her friends and was worried because she was not in the room.
"He hasn't come back so late, and I can't reach him by phone. I'm so worried."
"I'm sorry, Senior Song, I had a fever this afternoon and went to the clinic in the evening. My phone didn't charge all afternoon and it shut down automatically."
"It's good that you're back." She hugged Su Xun again.
When Pei Ke opened the door, this was the scene that greeted him: the two of them were tightly embracing, looking as if they were reluctant to part.
Without making a sound, she turned her gaze to Su Xun and, finding that he didn't seem inclined to acknowledge her, her expression grew even colder. She said icily, "I'm going upstairs now."
Song Xueying suddenly pulled the person away, looking surprised, "You came back with Pei Ke?"
“I could barely walk when I went out just now, and he went to the clinic with me.”
"I never expected that Pei Ke, who is usually so cold and aloof, would be so helpful in a crucial moment." She and Lin Nuoyu were classmates, so she naturally knew that Lin Nuoyu was pursuing Pei Ke and paid more attention to her.
Even without Lin Nuoyu's connection, Pei Ke's reputation at school was enough for Song Xueying to remember him.
"Let's go back to the room, it's quite cold down here," Su Xun suggested.
"Yes, yes, you still need to take your medicine. I'll go boil some water for you."
The two went upstairs together.
"Bang bang bang".
Pei Ke had just finished washing up when he heard a knock on the door.
Upon opening the door and seeing who it was, she said in a somewhat awkward tone, "Why are you here?"
"I've come to get my phone back, and I'll return your clothes to you while I'm at it."
I gave my phone to Pei Ke and haven't gotten it back. I was just about to charge it when I realized it wasn't with me at all. So I asked Song Xueying for Pei Ke's room number, and it turns out they're on the same floor.
"Wait for me a moment." After saying that, she went inside and closed the door.
Before Su Xun could say two words or even hand over the clothes, the door clicked shut in front of him.
She was just coming to pick up her phone, but they were acting like she had ulterior motives. She touched her nose in annoyance.
Two minutes later, the door opened again.
Pei Ke now held a phone in his hand, glanced at the people outside the door, and said, "Let's go."
Where to?
Returning something is a trivial matter, taking only a minute. Why is it being made to seem like we need to sit down and negotiate?
Pei Ke sighed, his eyes fixed on the person in front of him. "After everything that's happened, don't you think we need to have a serious talk?"
"Oh, you didn't respond when I talked to you last time," she said softly, looking down.
Last time she brought a cake, I wanted the two of us to sit down and have a proper talk. I even put a note with her contact information inside, but I haven't heard from her since.
"What?" A hint of doubt surfaced, and he frowned slightly. When did she come to have a proper talk with him?
"It's nothing." Su Xun shook his head. It wasn't anything important, and it wasn't too late to talk about it now.
Seeing that she didn't intend to continue dwelling on the topic, Pei Ke gave her a deep look, took the room key, and closed the door again.
