At 10 p.m., a man was throwing the remote control around while muttering, "What a piece of junk TV! It can't even get a signal. Secondhand stores are such shady operators. They said it was 60% new, damn it, they just rip off honest people." He then went to take a shower and go to bed, feeling very annoyed, since he had nothing else to do.

The man is Gu Yan, 26 years old this year. He grew up in an orphanage, went to a vocational college after graduation, and worked in a factory. Two days ago, the factory declared bankruptcy.

Suddenly, a strange insect the size of a human head appeared in a stairwell. This insect had two sharp horns on its head, six legs on its abdomen, four wings on its back, two golden eyes, and sharp teeth. Its whole body was golden.

However, it seemed to have suffered some serious injury, with cracks all over its body and even overflowing with crimson-gold blood. Suddenly, it passed through the wall and saw the man sleeping soundly on the bed.

I ate about ten pieces of bread and five packets of instant noodles before I felt less hungry. But there was no more food in the house, so I went downstairs to buy more food to have on hand.

What surprised him even more was that this insect was so ferocious, eating food hundreds of times its size.

He looked at it more closely and found that it seemed to have grown a head and that its abdomen was starting to feel a little bit full. He took out his bread and gave it to the insects to eat, and they ate it even faster, perhaps because it was easy to digest.

An hour and a half later, the table was empty except for the insects. The insects had grown quite a bit, probably about a size bigger than before. He touched the insects with his chopsticks again and found that there was no reaction. So he became a little bolder and poked it with his finger. When he lifted it up, the insect was already stuck to his hand.

It seemed to be looking at Gu Yan, so Gu Yan took it in front of her and looked at it.

"This little thing seems like a good pet, but it takes up a lot of food," he muttered.
