Jiang Jifan hates moving. Due to work, she has moved several times, and each move feels like a major migration to her, so she deeply resents it.

However, this time Tantai Qing didn't give her a chance to worry. She took the initiative to contact a moving company for her, and handled the packing, moving, transportation, and placement all in one go.

In the end, Jiang Jifan stood in his living room, looking at the pile of boxes that had appeared in front of him, and felt a deep headache.

How do I start...?

She lightly kicked the box at her feet, her face drooping as she said dejectedly, "I really want to throw it away."

Tantai Qing poured her a glass of water and handed it to her. Seeing her listless appearance, he smiled and comforted her, saying, "Sit down and rest for a bit. As for your luggage, tell me how to pack it, and I'll help you."

She has too much stuff; she has a whole box of shoes alone, and she doesn't even know where to put them.

“There’s a walk-in closet at home, you can go and take a look,” Tantai Qing said as he led her to the closet.

Jiang Jifan hadn't noticed it last time she came, but this time she discovered that his house had such a large walk-in closet, comparable in size to the luxurious walk-in closet in a modern movie she had seen.

She now has a place to put her things.

She casually opened a wardrobe and found a row of neatly arranged women's clothing inside, all of which looked brand new.

"These are all prepared for you," Tantai Qing explained, fearing she might misunderstand.

Jiang Jifan had initially been wondering if other women had lived here, but after hearing his words, she felt a little embarrassed.

“Well, I thought…” Her eyes flickered, and she looked a little guilty.

Before she could finish speaking, Tantai Qing understood. He raised his hand to pat her head and said with a smile, "Don't misunderstand, you're the only one who's been here."

Jiang Jifan liked his honesty, and the vague discomfort in her heart disappeared as a result.

Further inside, she saw many unopened jewelry boxes displayed in transparent jewelry cabinets. Driven by curiosity, she picked one up and opened it.

Inside was a necklace from a top jewelry brand that she had once seen in a magazine.

No woman can resist the allure of something beautiful, and Jiang Jifan was no exception.

“Your neck is too bare,” he said, taking the necklace out of the box and putting it on her.

During the first few meals together, he had this idea in mind—he wanted to buy the necklace and put it on her himself.

A dark green jade pendant hung below her collarbone, making her skin appear even whiter and more delicate, which was especially beautiful.

Jiang Jifan glanced down.

This necklace is beautiful, but the style is a bit too exaggerated and not suitable for everyday wear. It's more appropriate for events like banquets.

“It looks great, but…” She looked at him and smiled slightly, then said bluntly, “It’s a bit too flashy.”

She reached out and took off the necklace, but when she looked up, she saw a look of disappointment in his eyes. In that instant, Jiang Jifan felt that he might have done something inappropriate.

Not wanting to disappoint him, she carefully put away the necklace she had taken off, then took his hand and smiled gently, saying, "Help me choose another one."

Sure enough, his eyes immediately regained their sparkle.

Finally, Tantai Qing picked out a diamond necklace for her that was relatively understated and suitable for everyday wear.

Jiang Jifan turned around and kissed him on the lips as a way of thanking him.

What would you like to eat for dinner?

She sat on the sofa, watching him roll up his sleeves and take things out of the box for her, and thought for a long time.

"I want something with a strong flavor," Jiang Jifan said, leaning on the sofa armrest and smiling at him, her face bright. "What about you?"

She belatedly realized that it seemed he was always accommodating her eating habits, while she rarely inquired about his preferences.

Tantai Qing looked up at her, and, infected by her dazzling smile, smiled back and replied, "Whatever you eat, I'll eat too."

Sure enough, he remained the same as always.

"No." Jiang Jifan shook his head, not quite agreeing. "You must have your own preferences too. Don't just blindly follow me."

I also want to respect you.

A spring breeze seemed to blow through Tantai Qing's heart, stirring up ripples.

He thought for a moment and answered seriously, "I want to eat Peking duck, shredded pork with sweet bean sauce, and..."

The dishes he mentioned were all specialties of City B. Upon hearing this, Jiang Jifan couldn't help but chuckle and said, "You really are a true-blue City B native."

She was initially tired from moving and didn't plan to go out anymore, but after hearing his words, she suddenly changed her mind.

She picked up her bag from the sofa, walked up to him, held out her hand, looked down at him squatting on the floor tidying up her things, and said with a hearty laugh, "Let's go, it's on me."

Tantai Qing stood up, patted the dust off his knees, glanced at her outstretched hand, then looked at his own dirty hands, and hesitated.

He also remembered that she was a germaphobe.

Unexpectedly, Jiang Jifan didn't care at all. Seeing that he was hesitant to move, she took his hand.

Tantai Qing looked at the two people's clasped hands, lowered his head and smiled with satisfaction.
