Searching for the truth amidst the fog,
Tracking down the murderer through danger,
Born for truth, dying for truth.
There was a food show on TV, which Linglong was most interested in. She changed her seat and sat next to Ouyang, pointing at the man on the show: "Look, this man is not only good-looking, but also a good cook. There are so few men like him."
"He's a bit of a nympho," Fenwu said, taking a look. "This is exactly what you guys are good at: shopping and cooking. Ask Ouyang, would she like this type of man?"
The three people looked at Ouyang. She had never expected that a TV program would involve her. "It's okay, it's pretty good."
"Perfunctory!" Linglong turned off the TV and said, "I've been to his shop before, and the food is pretty good. Are you interested in trying it?"
"Go! Why not?" Fenwu stood up. "I'll go change my clothes now."
Dongya looked at the two of them with amusement: "So, you're not going to cook for a while?"
"Let's go together!" Linglong also returned to the room.
Ouyang and Dongya looked at each other. These two people were their jokers. They obviously cared about each other's thoughts, but they were unwilling to admit it.
They came to a restaurant called "Jiuxian" and smelled the aroma of charcoal fire as soon as they entered. It seemed that the original charcoal barbecue flavor was still retained here.
Linglong led them to sit near the chef, saying that this way they could see Guo Ling, the handsome man in the food world.
"Is your boss here?" Linglong asked the waiter.
"Yes," the waiter looked at them, "what can I do for you?"
"It's okay!" Dong Ya saw that Fenwu's eyes were full of fire and was a little worried about what would happen next.
"Well, what else do you need?" The waiter also sensed the different atmosphere and seemed a little nervous.
"That's all." Dongya returned the menu to him.
Fenwu stood up, and Linglong suddenly stood up as well.
"What are you doing?" Dongya said, "This is in a public place."
"Puchi!" Ouyang laughed inappropriately.
The three people looked at her, not understanding what she was laughing at.
"No," she explained quickly, "I'm hungry. Can I eat something first before I make trouble?"
The dishes arrived quickly and tasted quite good. Linglong practically acted as a commentator, praising each dish highly. Only Fenwu refused to eat; he sat off to the side, sipping juice and watching them.
When Ouyang finished eating, Guo Ling came out of the kitchen, first said something to the guests at the table next to them, and then walked up to them.
He glanced at the untouched dish in front of Fenwu and asked, "Sir, do you not like the taste of this dish?"
“Every dish here doesn’t suit my taste.”
Linglong quickly said, "He was joking, don't mind it. Every dish here is excellent."
"As you wish," Guo Ling smiled. "Is there anything else you need?"
Linglong pointed to a bowl of soup in front of her: "Is there anything special in this soup? It tastes pretty good."
"You mean onions?"
"Yes, yes, that's the taste."
Seeing Linglong smiling so happily, Fenwu clenched his fists. Fortunately, Dongya held him down, preventing him from jumping up and beating up the popular Guo Ling.
Ouyang wiped his hands and saw that Linglong had no intention of ending the conversation, so he said, "Mr. Guo should have a girlfriend, right?"
"Uh," Guo Ling glanced at a lady sitting at the next table, "Indeed, there is."
"That's good!"
When Fenwu heard this, he immediately became happy, picked up his knife and fork, and began to taste the dish in front of him: "Well, not bad, I will definitely come here often in the future."
Linglong followed Ouyang's gaze and glanced at the table next to her. She asked quietly, "You have a really good eye."
"Then you guys continue." Guo Ling returned to the kitchen.
Later, Ouyang saw Guo Ling and his girlfriend in the bathroom. They seemed to be arguing about something. When she saw her go over, they came into a storage room.
Linglong supported the slightly tipsy Fenwu, who was a bit drunk because of his happiness. Dongya was driving, and he looked at Ouyang: "What's wrong? You didn't say anything when you got out just now."
She just felt something was wrong. What was that woman holding in her hand? Something silvery white, and it was reflecting light.
"Turn back quickly."
"What's wrong?" Linglong was also a little puzzled. "Did something fall?"
"No," Ouyang called the hospital, "Someone was injured at Jiuxian Restaurant, hurry over."
Dongya increased the speed of the car, and Fenwu, who was sitting in the back, couldn't stand it anymore and almost vomited.
They arrived almost at the same time as the ambulance. Ouyang quickly walked towards the dark warehouse, and the three people behind him followed. No one knew what had happened.
Ouyang turned on the flashlight, pushed open the door of the warehouse, and saw Guo Ling lying on the ground, bleeding profusely. She went over, pressed his wound, and called his name: "Guo Ling, don't sleep, don't sleep."
The paramedics followed behind, quickly carried him out, and gave him first aid on the spot.
Linglong covered her mouth. She never expected that the person who was chatting with her just now was about to die. "What's going on?"
Dong Ya supported Feng Fenwu, and Fenwu shook his head: "Yeah, wasn't he fine just now?"
Ouyang went to wash her hands, recalling the scene she had just witnessed in the restroom. They had indeed been arguing about something, and the woman might have been holding the murder weapon. She reentered the warehouse and found a knife left in a corner, which she had wrapped in a towel.
